“To freelance! OFF!!!” Clara again tried to rebel, shaking Kean's hand which gripped her tightly.
From the presence of Arini and Disa, Kean pulls Clara out of her house and away from the two.
The two women were still sculpting, as he left, as if he was digesting carefully what was happening in front of his eyes. His mind was still not conical until they finally realized that the meaning of the sentence Clara said was important.
Arini turned her head to Disa who was fixated with a facial expression that was difficult to explain. He was like swallowing a round of surprise that he did not fully understand. Like his heart is not ready to admit that what he heard may be true.
“Sa, do you know anything about them?” Arini asked doubtfully.
He really just heard this news. As Arini knows, Kean is indeed close friends with Clara but never imagined that their closeness is more than friends. The nature of both, like water and oil, will not be suitable as a lover.
“No mistress.” Arini's question is like an alarm that resuscitates Disa to get out of her daydream.
His chest is still pounding with a feeling of obstruction that is increasingly felt until he is not free to breathe.
“I excuse me madam.” He would rather continue his unfinished work. This is where he should be. With dirty plates and mop cloth.
“Remember there, the cinderella is just a bouquet of heartbroken girls like you.” Disa reminded herself and prepared if what she heard was the truth.
In his place, Arini looked at Disa from a distance. He tried to read the face that was trying to cover Disa. One thing he could guess, Disa must have never expected to hear this news. I don't know what happened between Disa and her clear son must have been a serious attachment so Kean had to stay away to talk to Clara.
For a few days he was gone, there were a lot of things he didn't know.
Out there, Kean is still arguing with Clara. The stubborn girl was still reluctant to refuse an arranged marriage.
“Claire, I don't know what made you change your mind. But you have to know, I will not want to be in the same soul mate lo.”
“Our relationship as friends is enough, I am grateful to be friends with you. But it will never make us end up as a married couple.” Again Kean reiterated his reluctance to accept matchmaking.
“Lo why not just want to bokap lo? How difficult it is to marry me, have children with me, anyway no loss also.” Clara was still whistling loudly with her thoughts. To him, what he lacks is that Kean has a hard time accepting his parents' wishes.
“Claire, being married to someone is not about profit or loss.”
Kean began to lower his voice. He knows who Clara is. A stubborn girl, can not be denied his wishes. Arguing with this girl would be difficult when she did not lower her sentence tendency. Maybe he should face it another way.
Kean sat his body on the park bench, trying to calm his mind before continuing his sentence. It takes a lot of calm to face Clara. He saw the girl who was still standing firmly while crossing her arms in front of her chest. This is evidence of Clara's arrogance.
“Lo knows, we will spend our whole lives with the person we marry. Hard but still loving. And it requires a feeling that is more than just friends.”
“Lo is the same I am not suitable for such a relationship. I have no feeling that can make me sure I can survive doing all that for a lifetime lo.”
Kean tried to convince his best friend. The girl started to look back but then again threw away her gaze.
“Claire, come on, don't risk our lives for something we already know what the end will be. Hem?”
Clara seemed to be sighing deeply, like expelling the turmoil she was also feeling.
“Lo should know, bokap lo tetep yakinin bokap I make our marriage. He felt that I was the only one worthy to be his son-in-law. And lo, can lose everything if you refuse our matchmaking.” Clara stared at Kean sharply, giving the affirmation Sigit said.
Kean sighed deeply and again stood before Clara. He knew, this was Sigit's weapon to threaten him and he would definitely come back to make Kean obedient.
“Lo don't have to sacrifice for me, I don't need that."
"Lately I've been thinking a lot, I've been weighing a lot of things in my life. And lately, I know what I really need.”
Look for a moment at someone in the house who is completing his work slowly. Like many things he thought. Maybe he was still surprised, yes must be very surprised to hear the words of Clara this morning.
“Gue started to know what I needed and I decided I would protect whatever I believed would make me happy. And my bokap wealth, not the part that I have to defend.”
Kean looked at Disa with nanar. Meeting with Disa and her family, has taught her many things that she did not get from her family. Many pieces are missing and slowly he begins to find and make him realize what he really needs.
No hypocrite, wealth is necessary. But it is never a guarantee that he can find happiness. A lot of happiness that he actually found from things that are simple but have a deep impression.
Clara followed Kean's line of sight still fixed on Disa. “So because that girl you whistled loudly nolak me? What is the lack of me until lo and om lo both ninggalin me and more carefulin women it?”
“He's just a kean waiter. What's more?” feeling unaccepted because he realized that he was being compared to Disa which made him lose someone.
“Om me? You mean your relationship is the same om I ended because there?” kean's attention turned to Clara who was just sculpting then opened her eyes as Kean looked at her. For what he also looked at Disa.
“Hem. Ever since that party, all he talked about was that the woman was mulu. It was amazing that he was amazed by the waiter. And what I don't like more, he wants me to be that waitress. Goddamnit!” Clara peels annoyed considering what Marcel did.
Kean began to think a lot of things from Clara's sentence. He looked at his friend who looked upset.
“Wait, so you want to be fooled by me because you are the same in and disappointed by marcel?” Kean began to pull a red thread from Clara's mind.
“Yes you think there are women who want to survive if the men she loves instead admire other women?” clara was upset.
“Gue love marcel but I can not accept if he continues to show the attitude of admiring other women especially he is just a servant. He wants me to be the same waiter, you think I'll be in?” with teary eyes.
His heart still feels sore when he remembers the debate with Marcel some time ago which led to the breakdown of their relationship.
“Lo sure om marcel ngelakuin it?” Kean tried to convince Clara.
“Lo think I'm bego until I don't understand her thoughts?” Clara barked not accept.
“4 year kean, I relate to him. Stumping from papah, trying to make him look decent in front of papah. And now he even wants me to be the same waiter. You think that's not a jerk what?” clara's voice began to sound vibrating, there was a cry that tried to stop her and almost broke.
He looked at the beautiful girl who was still standing haughtily before him. In her grief and anger Clara still tried to be indifferent. Such is his best friend, very good at hiding his feelings in front of others.
“Gue tired ken, fighting for him. I felt alone fighting for what was important to us. But she,” there were tears dripping from the corner of Clara's eyes that she immediately wiped to leave a trace.
He turned his face to prevent his tears from dripping back.
Seeing Clara like this, Kean's annoyance turned to pity. He never saw his best friend cry because of a man. Clara who has always been a snatch of many handsome and well-established men, but never paid any heed. It was only recently that he found out that Clara had dropped her heart on Marcel.
“Lo 4 years ago marcel. It wasn't a short time Claire.”
“Gue tau om marcel is a persistent person. He dared to defy Papah for whatever he was aiming for. Using all means make it look decent front bokap lo.”
“Kalo now he glanced and even bandingin lo sama dia, do you ever think that maybe you yourself who give gap om marcel to ngelakuin it?”
Kean tried to be realistic with his point of view as a man. How Marcel tried to seize the company and justify any means to defeat his father, definitely not without reason.
If he gives up now, he may meet with fatigue. Not only is Clara tired of surviving, maybe Marcel too?
It feels like Kean is starting to know where to start. He immediately moved out of place as a thought flashed through his mind.
“Whatever happens now, save your decision to make marriage with me. That's not what you should think. Hem?” Kean patted his best friend's sluggish-looking pudak. He moved out of his place, leaving Clara alone.
“But ken, you will not be able to fight bokap lo.” shouted Clara reminded her best friend. Kean ignored Clara's exclamation. “Kean! Teaan!!!”
Kean chose to go and start what he had to do.
