Ayu looked out from behind the window of the car that occasionally flowed water from the rest of the rain all day that still left drizzle.
The corner of his lips faintly smiled considering every incident he went through with Akram until unknowingly the car he was riding with a private driver had reached the gate. Waiting for a moment to open the gate and then he went down right in front of the house.
It felt so tiring today as her feet set foot on the floor of the house. Today is overtime. The watch in the hand had shown nine o'clock more, some of the rooms he passed by had lights out. And for a moment when he wanted to enter the room, Ayu intended to first look at the state of Zahra.
Right in front of Zahra's room door, Ayu turned the door handle slowly. But again he found his grandfather who was in his sister's room. From the crack of the door Ayu was silent observing her Grandfather who was reading a storybook to his sister, of course it made a smile on his lips engraved. Because Grandpa has accepted and loved his sister.
The clap on his shoulder made him flinch. When Ayu turned her head found there was Soraya who was hinting with the index finger attached to the lips so that Ayu did not make a sound.
"Follow Maak. Mbak wants to talk for a while," said Soraya in a soft tone then moved to go ahead and of course followed by Ayu.
Downstairs, Rudi was waiting. Ayu also sat down when Soraya began to invite him.
"The mother spoke directly on the topic of the problem. Is it true that Grandpa offered you a medical degree?"
Ayu looked at Soraya and Rudi alternately then nodded, but did not want to refute with another remark.
I heard the breath of Rudi. "So Brother had talked about it to Grandpa, Brother felt that indeed a profession could not be lived by force."
Ayu looked up, raising her face. In his heart he felt like there was someone who understood his will, just like Rudi said earlier.
"Actually Grandpa gave you that offer is also for good in your future," added Rudi and Ayu also understand it.
"Grandfather wants you to take part in the role of managing his hospital. Because you deserve it, because you're Grandpa's granddaughter. Just like Rudi who has held an important role in managing Grandpa's Hospital," explained Soraya.
Soraya nodded then grabbed Ayu's hand to grasp. "Yes, I understand. Because you don't have any interest, do you?"
Ayu shook her head returning Soraya's gaze. "Of course, Ayu has no skills there" Ayu admitted. "Why never think and have the ambition to plunge into the medical world. But Ayu reassured in heart and tried, although Ayu was not there— Ayu hoped Grandpa would accept Ayu."
"Of course Grandfather accepts you" said Soraya, holding Ayu's hand reassured.
"But Ayu has let Grandpa down."
Soraya. "So Mbak same Rudi had thought of the solution. Mbak sure your tendency is in the hotel world because you can be here because of the scholarships you take. Studying abroad is our solution. You want to, right?" Soraya looked at Ayu's bead.
"That's the only way you can prove to Grandpa that you're talented in other fields. And we certainly support you," Soraya said again convincingly.
"So you've seen how Grandpa behaves to Zahra? So you don't have to worry about leaving your sister here. We will definitely take care of him, and all you need is to focus on learning. All for your future."
Ayu was still silent on the speech that Soraya said. Studying— studying abroad means he is no longer here. Then that means he must again put aside his feelings that began to flare up like he had experienced all day.
"Non-neighborhood? Where's Mbak?" tanya Ayu opened her voice after a while she pondered over Soraya's words.
"Near. I've chosen my place in Singapore."
