Dream Smile

Dream Smile
Episode 42

The two days I had were just to lock myself in a room without going out. Morning and night Rico always brought me food, put it in front of the door with him sending me messages reminding me to eat it and don't forget to take care of my health.

Now I am ready to go to work. Rico had been waiting as usual on his bike, without saying much he thrust a helmet and then put the bike forward when I was ready to sit in the back seat.

Not many words until we arrived at the hotel. Separate to their respective places. With a step down through the guest room hallway, my forehead felt stifled by something. Makes me instantly jerk and look up, looking at the person I know wearing a suit that fits snugly on his body. Mr. Akram.

"That road uses eyes."

"It's right to have a leg, sir."

My flat voice actually provoked laughter Pak Akram who was almost without sound. Even so, he still normalized his voice.

"What do you see until you focus on looking down?"

"Or you wish there was money falling" he said, chiming in on his own question, but I kept smiling in response.

The focus of my eyes this time stopped on the name tag he was wearing, it was written clearly his position was as deputy manager. As soon as I rewinded my steps, I shouldn't have been acting so close to my boss when I was in the work environment.

I also bowed my body as a sign of respect for him, just like when I met the highest ranking boss in this hotel.

Mr. Akram smiled faintly. "It's normal, don't overdo it" he said patting me on the shoulder.

"No, you're still my boss" I chimed in.

He heard her breath. "OKAY. But if outside the work area behave normally," he said, which again displays a smile that is still charming like before. "Then continue your work, the spirit of Ayu!"

Again my smile came up to respond to him, while he continued the steps that would have gone in the opposite direction to where I worked.

Like a man who misses the moon. Cinderella meets the Prince. No-no, I pulled him back.

Walking with increasingly shaky steps no longer focused until my forehead hit something, so hard. I almost fell but there was an arm pulling my waist up against his body.

And when I looked up my mouth immediately opened shortly clenched back after I pulled away, stood up to take some distance and said, "Sorry."

I intentionally said that so as not to cause a bigger problem. He's the guy who hit me once, I hope again he doesn't recognize me so he doesn't prolong the problem. It's enough of my complicated personal affairs not to be coupled with work problems, my inner self.

But when I moved to give him access to the road to allow him to first lift his legs, he instead remained standing in place.

"Do you still know me?"

I turned my face to look the other way before answering. Want to say no he already asked, it is certain that I remain desperate to say no he will revile. In the end I chose to nod.

"The father who once hit me" I said without his base and seemed flat, lazy. I hope after this he shut up, nodded and then left.

But the truth is no, he came closer to making me a little wary and asked, "What about your feet, already—"

"It's very good sir, even to run can," I said quickly cut his sentence. I think because the Fathers in front of me just mince words I also said retreat. "Sorry Mr, if you need hotel services, you can contact the officer on the floor where you live or can contact the receptionist. I want to step down first to finish the job I have to do. Ter—"

My words depended on when I had just confirmed my body and accidentally read the name tag that was written there General Manager named Kevin.

Suddenly I closed my mouth from the shock of my disrespect, flat-talking also said excuse me with a tone of speech that I know is not good to hear.
