CEO's Secret Husband

CEO's Secret Husband
|6|. The Old Castle In The Forest

"I don't know" Parker shook his head with a small smile. He's not lying. He probably knew Aldrich, but he didn't know where the young man had gone.

"Ah so" Maribel looked a little disappointed.

"Then thank you for your help doctor" he said again.

"It's been my job. Don't be so shy"

Maribel once again nodded politely and left the hospital.

The distance between the hospital and the location of his villa near the forest was quite far. Maribel who was not used to walking, immediately felt overwhelmed along the way. No doubt he often stops intermittently to unwind.

For a moment he thought of the handsome man who had helped him. The man had carried her from the forest to the hospital located near the residential area. Doing so, he must have drained a great deal of his energy.

It was unimaginable how exhausting he was when he did it.

Maribel's heart trembled in a smile. But it immediately turned sad to remember...

"I should have gotten up earlier to thank him"

But the smell of sandalwood that still looms over him, makes him lulled for so long in a satisfactory sleep condition.

"Hey, that's very unfortunate"

Thanks to that, he was finally unable to thank the handsome man who had helped him.

......................

Aldrich has arrived in front of his father's castle in the land of men. The location is isolated from the houses of the people and the surrounding is only the wild that is none other than the forest with lush green trees.

For a long time he had never visited the place. He remembered the first time he visited the mansion, when he was still a five-year-old boy.

Back then, he still had a cold disagreement with his father. Making his feelings filled with displeasure and dislike every time he breathed in the mansion. So he asked his mother to leave immediately. But what happened, his human mother was even taken away by the father to his palace in the country of vampires.

He who was filled with feelings of worry for his mother, became angry and soon caught up with her. Like that, the years passed and he lived to be a vampire folk in Merland.

Now he has rested in the land of men.

Staring at the copper fence towering in front of it was already filled with the entanglement of plants climbing the iron gate.

He took a breath and inhaled the fresh air from the surrounding trees and the fleeting smell of copper iron pierced.

"Hey, it's been a long time" he said.

"Anyways, the human country is still the best"

Considering it was his birthplace.

He pushed the unlocked gate. His voice creaked loudly, indicating how old his condition was. There were no more guards sitting at the security post.

There was only a completely empty castle.

Since the place had not been occupied for a long time, there were no more workers in it. At least once a month sent a group of people to clean the castle to keep it well maintained. All of it is arranged by his father's confidant, one of the vampires who has languished in the land of man for too long.

Drtts...

The phone in his pocket vibrated. Aldrich pulled out his phone and looked at the name on the screen.

Uncle Sean.

"Yes?" That was how he interacted with his father's confidant, who was already considered like his uncle.

It was indifferent.

Of course there's a story about why that happened.

There was an answer from across the street, "Have you reached the castle?"

"Yesterday I hired a group of workers to clean up the castle, but not the outside"

Aldrich looked at the vast courtyard filled with a trail of numerous dry leaves.

"Your stingy father didn't send a dime for the cleaning fee. So my generosity is just that, I hope you can understand. I have to save money anyway"

Aldrich walked forward, treading the dry, bifurcated leaves.

A mocking smile rose on his lips, "Uncle, instead of you living alone. How much did you spend in a month on a single vampire like you?"

Vampires do not eat like humans do. So it certainly saves more spending.

There was a sigh of displeasure in the sebrang, "The cost of living in the city of J is not cheap. I had to pay for water, electricity and not to mention to get a bottle of my favorite deer blood that cost almost millions more"

Since deer are a protected animal, it costs a huge amount to get it specifically legal from captivity.

"Son, you should know. I'm just a lecturer at a private campus. The cost is indeed quite large for a single man like me, but remember.I am a vampire who wants to live with satisfaction in the human country"

"Huh, just tell me that you're living here to let go of the sadness of your unrequited love"

Aldrich knows a little about Sean's love story that does not end happily.

"Gldrich!" The voice was a little full of dislike.

Aldrich laughed happily in response to Sean's bad emotions.

"So, where did you put the key?" Aldrich was standing at the front door. He held the doorknob and pushed it.

It locked.

Sean snorted coldly. Still upset by what the boy just said. Let him keep telling her, "The key is under the doormat of the foot you stepped on"

Aldrich looked down. His feet are resting on a mat of feet that are dark green and thick. He moved to the side and bowed his body.

Clasp the phone under his left ear and his right hand lifts the footwear. Aldrich saw the key that Sean meant and immediately took it.

"I found it"

Taps!

Like that, Aldrich immediately disconnected the call.

Sean, who was relaxing on the sofa with a book on his lap, stared at his cell phone which made a sound...

Tut..

The writing on the screen showed the other party had ended the call.

"Yes.."

"Persis like his father"

"It's a pleasure to disconnect"

Aldrich has entered the castle. As Sean said, yesterday a group of people had been sent to clean the place and the conditions were completely clean unlike the scenery outside.

Aldrich touched one of the sofas, there was absolutely no dust stuck to his fingertips. Every time he took a breath, there was no smell of dust that could make him cough.

Aldrich recalled, the castle had many doorways. Among them were five for the servant's room, five guest rooms and one main room that belonged to none other than his father.

But since that place was now his, he would take over for the foreseeable future. Because he'll stay there a long time.

"I remember the main room on the second floor"

Aldrich hurried up the stairs to the top floor. There he walked in the hallway and came to the door that was the most remote and remote location.
