"Have you done my duty?" Breta goes inside the warehouse and speaks in a low voice on the phone.

He had just told someone to go follow his nephew into the forest and do something small that could harm his nephew.

"Yes. As you asked. I already threw one of my trained snakes at the girl. The venomous snake should have pecked at him and the poison would have reacted immediately" said the man who was Breta's interlocutor from the phone.

He was one of the snake charmer Breta sent and became the mastermind of the snake bite experienced by Maribel. Obviously, it was all planned. Although at first glance it was like a natural accident when walking into the forest. Considering such a flat animal is not impossible to find there.

"How can.." Breta bit her lower lip with a very depressed facial expression.

Gavin placed his cup on the table and his eyes shriveled to see his wife's gloomy-looking face displeased, "What's wrong?"

In the afternoon, Maribel woke up in a hospital gurney with a slightly dizzy head. Maybe it was because he had been asleep for too long. He scrunched his eyes which still held the trace of drowsiness and looked around. No more handsome helpers managed to conquer his heart.

One of the nurses walked inside. Her body was slightly fat and her hair was trimmed short like Dora's. She was the only nurse working at the hospital.

"I'll go report that you've woken up to Parker's doctor, please wait a minute"

Shortly after the nurse left, a doctor by the name tag Parker walked into her treatment room. It didn't seem like so many patients in this place, so they looked very leisurely.

"What about your calves? Does it feel like numbness?"

Maribel tried to move her legs, "No"
