|47|. His Sanity is Over for Gladding Him

Aldrich opened his eyes and found himself sitting on a wooden chair with his hands tied back. His mouth was tightly locked with black duct tape and only his two legs were free to move.

"You awake?"

The indifferent voice of a woman, made Aldrich turn his gaze to the object that had just walked into the room where he was in the room.

Maribel?

Aldrich frowned not understanding. What will happen and why will he be held captive?

Spreading his gaze around, he guessed it was an empty warehouse looking at the dust and cobwebs that filled the place.

Maribel walked closer. Her steps look great with a white underwear with a flaming red coat exterior combined with a knee-length black skirt. Every step of his foot sounded steady and bold.

Standing in front of Aldrich, Maribel's plump forefinger came lifting Aldrich's chin, "Hi.." His lips curled in a smile.

Aldrich's eyes narrowed sharply. He wanted to say something, only his mouth was in the duct tape, making him unable to do so.

"I'm sorry to have to do this" Maribel's flickering fingers danced gently, stroking Aldrich's hard jaw.

Aldrich's gaze cooled, straight on Maribel.

"I'm gonna keep holding you like this, before you.." Maribel bowed and her full red lips whispered softly in Aldrich's ear, "Agreed to marry me"

Aldrich's eyes drifted wide. He knew the girl was now his wife. But he did not want to marry her humanly. Because he was still thinking about how to divorce the woman without having to engage in Merland law.

He rebelled and his face flushed with anger.

Maribel just smiled subtly and watched.

His actions made Aldrich feel angry. He was ready to go on a rampage and wriggle. Even thought of taking out his fireball to burn the rope that bound him, but before he could do that...

"You only have two choices. Marry me or die"

Aldrich lifted his head and was surprised to see a gun muzzle was pointed right at his left temple and the woman's hand was ready to pull the trigger.

Aldrich was angry with Maribel. The girl who had survived the number of times, could have done such a heinous act just because of her crazy obsession.

"So, how'd you answer?" Maribel pulled the duct tape that covered Aldrich's mouth with a single pull.

At first glance Aldrich felt the surrounding of his mouth that felt sore because of the duct tape that had just been pulled.

"Is this your reward.Well, what good I do?"

"I just want to have you. Is that wrong?" Maribel stroked Aldrich's cold cheeks gently.

Aldrich immediately distanced his face from Maribel's reach, "What made you obsess over marrying me? Is it because of the good looks?"

Maribel quiescent.

"If you're really crazy about good looks, I can find one for you. So, stop this madness of yours" Aldrich's voice sounded quite angry.

Maribel scowled her lips, "I just want you"

"..."

"There's no man out there who's as pure as you are"

Aldrich's cold and indifferent nature, as well as his shrouding conscience. Maribel can feel it clearly.

On the other hand, Aldrich did not know whether to laugh or cry with the ridiculous thing that the girl had just said. 'Pure?'

"And you're the only one I think I'm worthy of"

Aldrich's pair of eyebrows intertwined, "What makes you think that I am worthy enough for you?"

"Because you refused to marry me"

"Maybe there are a lot of men out there who would be willing to marry me. But I don't know if they really want to marry me or maybe because of some ulterior motive"

"Aldrich, I've lived a plain girl for years. I don't really understand how the world works. Black and white.I can't easily detect it"

Maribel remembers the last time she almost became a victim of Griffin's rot if Aldrich had not come to her aid that night.

"So, I don't want to risk marrying any of those men. I really don't want to do it"

"I'm sorry, I had to threaten you like this. But can you marry me?"

"With the differences between us?"

"You can use me"

"What?" Aldrich raised one of his eyebrows.

"After marriage, you can consume my blood as your daily intake. Didn't you say you were allergic to animal blood?"

"Where is your sanity?"

"My alignment is up because it's too much for you to judge Aldrich"

Aldrich was instantly crushed.

"So if you still keep resisting, I'm really going to do—" Maribel started to prepare with a gun in her hand. Pulling the trigger and...

Aldrich's back was directly covered in cold sweat. Not even a vampire, what if he was really going to die with that shot?

"Good"

"You—"

"I'm willing to marry you"

Maribel's smile instantly burst into silence.

"But on condition..."

"What?"

"Make me your secret husband"

I'm so sorry that this part has changed so rapidly, not completely following the flow of the footage I made in the announcement chapter at VSB.

Hopefully in the future this storyline will not disappoint you and I will try to make this story as interesting as possible. Although I think, it seems like the romance I bring is quite lacking, but I will try my best.
