CEO's Secret Husband
|29|. The Girl Who Got Hit by a Snake Bite

Aldrich has returned to the castle escorted by Parker. He refused, but the medical man insisted on driving him home. Parker didn't think about stopping by because he had to come back soon, Aldrich didn't insist. After thanking him, he immediately walked into the castle.

It's already dusk. The skyward trail has bathed nature with its gorgeous orange red feel.

Aldrich looked at the front yard of the castle where there were no more piles of dried leaves on it and the surroundings looked very clean. Entering, the scent of the room was filled with traces of sweet apples from the floor cleaning gel.

Aldrich continued walking up to the living room with a judgmental gaze, "He really did his job well"

When night falls. Aldrich went downstairs, walked into the dining room. He thought his servant had prepared a bottle of blood and a glass on the table. But the scene he found was just an empty table with no objects on it.

"Where is he?" Aldrich glanced at the black watch circling his hand, "It's eight o'clock at night, why haven't I had dinner ready yet?"

Aldrich took a long breath. Trying patience. He was not someone who was heartened to tolerate the mistakes of those around him. Except those who had special points in his heart and the rest...

Those who touch the vulnerable point. Like that servant girl..

He was alone and worked hard to make ends meet.

The poverty and helplessness he saw in the skinny girl, always touched the point of his most fragile heart.

Aldrich went to the waiter's room. To prepare dinner.

Tok.dok..

"Maddie"

There's no answer.

Aldrich frowned and came back knocking.

Tok.dok..

"Maddie"

"..." - ".Silent.

"Maddie are you inside?"

Tok.dok..

"Maddie?"

Chequek.

The door opened and a weak body leaned against the door, "T-master.."

Aldrich's eyes blinked in surprise seeing Maribel appear with her pale lips. Highlight his eyes look haggard and his temple filled with sweat points. He seemed to be holding his stomach which seemed to be quite in pain.

"What's wrong with you?"

Maribel tried to smile saying, "My mom is relapsing"

"Maag?" He remembered the disease had been experienced by his mother when eating irregularly or skipping several meals.

"Did you have breakfast this morning?"

Maribel shook his head weakly, "No"

"Hang?"

Maribel smiled wryly, "Not really"

"You are, how can—"

"Uhhhh.." As Maribel grimaced, it had stopped Aldrich's mouth from charging further.

Pain in his stomach is becoming worse. Maribel felt like something was twisting her stomach, "Ahh.." Maribel almost fell forward.

Maribel momentarily became nervous. He could feel how the sturdy arm was holding his small waist, "Ah, sorry.." Perhaps because of illness, his common sense worked better than when he was healthy.

Maribel was completely unthinkable at the time to take advantage of the situation as a step in his approach to Aldrich.

Instead of letting go of the girl, Aldrich unceasingly picked her up and took her inside.

Maribel felt a little dizzy when her limpid self had been carried away like a baby curled up by Aldrich. He found his body gently lying on the bed and the burly hand moved slowly to cover his body with a blanket.

"Do you have any medicine?"

Maribel.

Aldrich stroked his lips inside while thinking about something and then turned around to leave.

But her steps were held back, as Maribel's soft, warm palm grabbed her wrist, "Sorry, I don't seem to be able to prepare your dinner tonight"

Its stomach acid moves very wild, making it not free to move. Even lying down, Maribel did not feel better.

Aldrich gently pushed the tapered hand from his wrist, "I understand your situation. Wait a minute, I'll call my acquaintance's doctor to come"

"Ah, that's not necessary" Maribel felt bad. Even if it is just an ordinary relapsing ulcer.

Aldrich said nothing and left. Seeing that Maribel smiled helplessly, "Is she really going to call the doctor?"

About thirty minutes passed. When Maribel almost fell asleep because of the pain. He felt his wrist being touched, pressing right at the pulse point and the cold end of the stethoscope pressed against the surface of his chest.

Slowly Maribel raised her eyelids and saw a leisurely dressed middle-aged man examining her.

"By the side of his relapsing maag, his body needed enough rest" Parker raised his gaze towards Aldrich, "Did you only serve one servant in your castle?"

Aldrich nodded.

"Had to be so exhausted" Parker glanced at Maribel who had opened his eyes, "How could you hire a skinny girl like this to take care of your big castle?" Parker smiled gently at Maribel's tyrannical face and turned to Aldrich, "You should add about three or four more servants. Your father alone had dozens of servants who took care of this place before"

Aldrich rubbed his nape, looking rather guilty, "That's, I think, while this time I don't need a lot of servants"

Parker just shook his head with that thought. He cleaned up his equipment and put it in his medical bag. Then he took out some of the medicine that had been written on his drinking schedule and placed it on Maribel's side.

"Remember to eat regularly and get enough rest" she told Maribel.

"En, thank you doc" take Maribel slowly.

"I'm like I've seen you before" Parker felt the brown eyes that were like a bunch of sunflower powder pushers were so familiar.

Aldrich cleared his throat softly, representing to answer, "That day I once took him to your care. The girl who got a snake bite"

"Ah, it turned out to be you" Parker smiled broadly at Maribel's pretty face and turned to Aldrich, "Son, I almost believed this girl was your girlfriend instead of a waitress"

"Huk.huk.." Aldrich immediately coughed at hearing that.

Maribel's face warmed red and her heart seemed tingled when she heard the doctor's words.

"You're not tricking me, are you?" Ask Parker again.

"Uncle.." Aldrich did not seem to want the man to tease him any further.

Parker chuckled, "All right. Then I'll go back first. Remember to prepare a bowl of warm porridge for him. Don't leave her stomach empty tonight"

"En" Aldrich nodded and escorted Parker out.

In front of the fence, just as Parker was about to get in the car. She turned to Aldrich, smiled and teased him once more, "Didn't she look pretty enough? Is he your type?"

Aldrich gripped the copper iron he was holding, his face looking annoyed, "No"
