34: Quality Time

Silence enveloped the togetherness of Yuan, Keinya and also Rainbow. The difference is, when Keinya and Rainbow sleep so soundly, Yuan was struggling with a laptop following some maps on a small table, next to Keinya and Rainbow. Yuan sat at the end of the long sofa where Keinya slept. The distance sitting from Keinya's head is no less than one inch. While Rainbow was in a mattress box with some small dolls accompanying, not far from Keinya's feet.

When Yuan deliberately paused his work to stare at Keinya as well as the Rainbow, Keinya's phone which was on the long table right in front of Yuan, shook. An incoming message in the WhatsApp application is the cause, which is even more coincidentally, the message is a message from Athan. 

After noticing Keinya's phone screen that continued to light up because WhatsApp messages continued, Yuan decided not to take the phone. Yuan opened and read the messages with occasional glances at Keinya who was still sound.

Yuan style was completely calm. Even to breathe included sighing until barely making a sound, because Yuan was afraid to tease Keinya or Rainbow.

Athan :

[Key,]

[I know I was wrong. I've been so mean to you and the rainbow. But try to think, as bad as I am, of course I'm better than your new boyfriend.]

[Kei, we have to talk.]

Yuan sighed softly. Then his gaze turned and looked at Keinya's face. Keinya's still asleep. He chose to put his cell phone back on the table. However, when Yuan did, Keinya woke up and found Yuan's hand had just left Keinya's phone. Finding this, Keinya woke up and then tidied up his original appearance.

“Yu .. Why don't you wake me up? I promise to help you.” Keinya immediately sat down cross-legged while confirming the bond of his hair that almost escaped.

“With you sleeping, I'm much easier to work. Everything went straight right after I saw your face.” Yuan said that with a calm expression. The man's face looked uninspired. But when Keinya found his phone ringing, Yuan said, “Fans you are busy, yes?”

Keinya looked at Yuan with a puzzled look. “Fans?” He was not sure what Yuan said. However, when Yuan gave Keinya an eye code to stare at his phone while on the phone screen a WhatsApp message came in from Athan, Keinya's mind became fixed on her ex-husband.

“Semenjak left Tiara, the Athan so rese!” keinya complained that he immediately grabbed his phone and read messages from Athan.

“Do not load, Kei. I'm jealous.” Yuan was earnest with his words.

From the gaze following Yuan's face, the man looked both irritated and injured. It made Keinya feel guilty. Especially instead of giving up, Athan just called.

Keinya. He looked at Yuan changing the phone screen in his grasp, and continued on.

Yuan got up and took over Keinya's phone. He answered a call from Athan. “Iya, this is Yuan.”

Yuan could still be calm. The contrast from Keinya that actually became tense. Especially when Yuan just stepped away from him.

“Shortly. It's quiet time for us, let alone Rainbow also still sleeping.”

Keinya thought perhaps the reason Yuan left him was because the Rainbow was still sleeping. But suddenly Yuan turned back.

“Ah no. Tonight I will also help you cook because I don't want you to get tired after what happened to you in the past and it makes you very troubled.”

“Oh, yes, Than. There is no harm in you coming here and getting to know our relationship further, so that you do not bother thinking about us.”

“I know your life has been hard since Tiara had to go back to her husband. While your life will be much heavier if you keep thinking of us.”

“Trust me, ever since you decided to split up, Keinya and Rainbow have been my responsibility. I have also prepared a future for Rainbow including the best investment and education for him.”

Keinya just silently listened to every successful Yuan speech to make Keinya's heart calm again, after having previously been tense and even worried, just because of the work of the Athan rese. Regardless of everything, the way Yuan addressed Athan, making bad thoughts if something unwanted until it happened between Yuan and Athan, instantly evaporated from Keinya's life. 

Keinya believed Yuan was reliable. That's why he chose to go to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

“We don't live together. I have a lot of places to stay, but I accidentally live next to Keinya and Pelangi's apartment, because I can't be far from them.”

“Are you also interested in living in the same apartment with us? I heard, all your assets were taken away by Tiara? I'm really sorry for the news ...”

Yuan's continued speech which gradually left the living room where the Rainbow was sleeping, made Keinya who could still hear him, become amusedly smiling.

“Most quiet people are indeed more sadistic than people who talk a lot.” To Keinya, it was Yuan who tended to be irritable, Yuan who always did everything calmly without exception when the man was very angry, he said, but it will be very piercing when it comes to acting even though it is just telling a story. And Keinya desperately hoped Athan would stop bothering him, after what Yuan did.

When Keinya was cutting carrots and potatoes that had been peeled, Yuan suddenly came.

“Honey, someone wants to chat,” said Yuan.

“Have not bothered serving Athan. Later you are tired of yourself,” said Keinya without staring or just turning to Yuan who was standing next to him.

“Iya, Mah. Keinya is a cooking pinter. The cooking is so good. The day after tomorrow, you can cook kolab. You guys must be a good fit.”

Yuan continued, successfully making Keinya's heart as if it was slipping. Moreover, the voice of the woman who spoke Indonesian and sounded very stiff from the other side, strengthening Keinya's belief if Yuan no longer spoke to Athan. Yuan spoke to his mother who had settled in Australia. Unfortunately, not yet escaped, Yuan actually has turned his phone on Keinya with an ongoing video call.

“Hai, Keinya? Good night?” A greenish-blue-eyed lady like Yuan's beautiful eyes, greeted Keinya with a smile that was so friendly.

That instant too, Keinya was indeed silent in his shock. Keinya could only comment on a smile, rather being as friendly and sweet as possible, even deep down, Keinya screamed in disbelief. Keinya really was not ready to communicate let alone face to face with Yuan's parents, even though it was through a video call intermediary! Keinya was really upset at Yuan. Keinya party, he would give the man a lesson after the video call with mama Yuan ended.

Yuan took over Keinya's work forcibly as he placed his cell phone on both of Keinya's palms. After Athan's phone call he ended, he did make a video call on his mother using Keinya's phone. And now, Yuan could only hold back the laughter while chopping away the remaining uncut carrots.

Recalling Keinya's face being so stiff from nervousness that it might even be shocked just from looking at Mama Yuan's face, Yuan felt Keinya to be so cute. Especially before leaving Yuan to chat with mama Yuan, Keinya kicked Yuan's leg.

Maybe ten minutes later, Keinya returned to the kitchen with half a run. Keinya immediately picked up a spatula while chasing after Yuan who immediately fled to the living room, when at first the man was stirring soup in the pot.

“Kei ... Kei, geez, Kei. Later Rainbow wake up, hey .. geez!”

Yuan continued to circle the sofas there and made Keinya who was chasing him mercilessly, do the same.

“So I was really sprained by talking to Athan. So for the sake of entertainment, mending me phone Mama use your phone let you guys familiar and sharing each other. After all, the day after you also met at the inauguration of the apartment.”
