His father was Yesie Rev
I walked empty into a room that felt so big to me. Every time I go to school, the room is cold. It felt like every time I entered this room, the feeling of being abandoned the world would come to me. I'm really lonely every time I'm in this room.
I deliberately opened the door of the room a little wide, so that the cats could accompany me who was lonely. Then they popped into my room. They would surround my room as if they were looking for something missing. Then came to bury me with their soft feathers.
A little bit of lazing makes me feel comfortable. The fatigue and tiredness of chasing after the material left behind lately has slowly disappeared. Then tonight I have to go back to studying, actually to summarize the material for the exam. I'll summarize it in my language and memorize it the night before the exam.
"Sister, I'm calling Brother." Hallin kicked the kittens out of my bed. Then I followed him to see Mom.
As I walked I asked Hallin. "Since Brother's recovery, Brother hasn't seen the twins. Where's them?"
"ee... I don't know... Maybe they're playing outside..." Hallin answered with doubt.
I just sighed. It felt like my relationship and the others were moving away after I got sick. Recalling again by me Hallin's face that was crying at that time, he cried while saying I was the one who said like a man of doom. Haiyan... I don't even have that memory, I don't know what happened.
When I saw Mom sipping milk coffee in the backyard, I was asked to sit down. There's bitter coffee on the table. Yeah, I thought maybe it was for me. I sat down by Mom's side. "Drink the coffee, isn't that your favorite?"
I sipped coffee to taste the aroma and taste slowly. "What's wrong, ma'am? Why call?"
I saw Mom sipping her coffee, too. Then there's Hallin who feeds the kittens. "A little while the class exam is coming up, so I want to remind you again. Don't force yourself..."
I gulped down some coffee water, while staring at Mom's terrified expression, which was as if she had just recalled something bad. "Mom's okay?"
Mother nodded. "Anyways, don't push yourself. Oh yeah, it's semester break. There will be a distant family coming. Your dad said he was your age. And will stay in your room. He'll also be a transfer student."
I was interested in Mom's words. "Correct? Is she a girl?"
That's the first thing I think about. Fortunately, I didn't notice any awkwardness in my sentence. He just nodded with a happy smile. "True, her name is Alya Perwita."
The name that I said is in line with the name Calya Bawita. Makes me remember my dream back then, where I peeked at it in between the bamboo. The afternoon passed with some more talk. When my coffee ran out, Mom asked me to take a shower.
I continued my routine of summarizing the material and doing some extra tasks. Too bad I fell asleep when it was getting late. I don't know who moved me to sleep, in the morning I woke up covered in bed.
With a few remaining vigor, I immediately woke up to return to running the exhausting day. Luckily at school I had a great day with Yesie.
With our light conversation today, I told my distant relative who was about to become a new disciple to Yesie. "Gee... Is she as fun as you?"
"I don't know, I just know his name. Mother said her name was Alya Perwita. "
"Yes, I hope she's as fun as you, or as kind and thoughtful as we are." Yesie said with vigor in her dark eyes.
"Yes, I hope so..."
"Oh yes, my father will pick me up. Do you want to meet him? Your way of thinking is similar to my Father, so I think you guys should fit in." Yesie.
According to Yesie, she was the victim of her parents' divorce. Yesie lives with her Father, no mother by her side. Actually if it was me, I don't know what to do. Even though Dad was as thoughtful as me, the only one who really understood me and knew me was Mom.
Hearing that today Yesie will come home with her Father, of course I am happy. I want to see what Dad looks like who also doubles his duties as a Mom. I'm sure he must be a great man. Yesie occasionally glanced at me. "Why?"
Yesie said with narrowed eyes. "I don't know what you think Arian is. But since then the thin smile in your mouth never stopped rising."
"Ah, maybe just your feelings." I said.
Maybe because I was waiting for school to end, the clock seemed to move slower than usual. History lessons make me sleepy. All that is explained is the old monkeys that ancient man said. I'm not too interested in that.
Since I was sitting on the back, I intended to sleep. Using a special thick book from the library, I covered my face as if I was reading. I hope my snoring is not heard by anyone else.
I dreamt of being a big black tiger. As I was walking around my territory, I met a small settlement similar to an inland tribe. When I jumped into the settlement, something was strange. I did see the settlement, but the contents of the settlement were jumbo chickens, not humans.
But it's okay, I don't think eating chicken is a bad thing. With the size of a fat chicken, of course I as a hungry tiger was very happy. I chased them, playing games. The feeling of playing prey under the claws is very pleasant.
Then I heard an angry scream. "Argh! You're going to steal my chickens?!"
When I turned around, it was a huge monkey holding a wooden stick. I ran around here and there. But no matter how hard I run, the big monkey can always catch up.
"Aarra!!!
"Hey, Arian, stop yelling, your voice is too creepy, when heard in this quiet room." As I felt my shoulders swayed by something, I opened my eyes. The first thing I saw was a pair of worried eyes. "It looks like you're working for an Arian class person. They didn't wake you even when the bell went home."
"Yes, it seems so."
"Let's go to the gate together. I'll introduce you to my father."
I'll pack up soon. I can't wait to meet his father Yesie, I want to learn something from him. I also followed Jesse to the front gate. When we reached Yesie, I met a Father in a hat.
His face was white, wrinkles signifying his old age. His gaze was shady and his smile warm. He smiled when he saw Yessie approaching. "Sir, this is Arian. The friend I told you about."
I shook his hand with nervousness. At that moment I felt her hand jerk as she touched my hand. I think he was surprised by the temperature of my hand.
When our eyes cross. Face paled. He panicked when he saw me. "Ndut let's go fast! Blurred! Hurry Ndut!" He started the bike as fast as he could.
I know that Yesie's father must have seen something from me. But what did he see that scared? Then why is he scared?
All of this has made me think back to the word, who am I?
Why these? why it? Haiyan... Every time I think about this unanswered thing, I'm going to get sick. Anyway I can't know anything. Everyone I thought knew something about me, seemed to be covering up the truth from me.
Mom showed up with her motorcycle horn. I approached her, and we went home together. On the way she said something that made me remember Yesie and her Father.
"There were fathers of accidents. Bring the bike really fast. I'm not sure if they survived, because it looks like the blood on the streets was too much."
I can only hope that it's not Yesie.
