Chapter 66: Return to a Known Place

Satoru flew using his wings and arrived at a small village to rest. Chiyo changed into her human form and walked beside Satoru while holding hands. While at the inn Satoru ordered food and rooms to stay.

"Where are you kids on the way?" ask the inn owner.

"We want to go to the capital of Earshied," Satoru replied innocently.

At that moment everyone who was eating stopped eating, the chatting became silent, the sleeping one immediately woke up. They all stared at Satoru in disbelief and confusion.

"Hey, what do you want to do in that horrible place?!" ask the owner seriously.

"Huh?" Satoru did not understand what the innkeeper said. "No, no, it's a pretty beautiful city isn't it?" satoru.

"Yes, but it was already 1 and a half years ago," the innkeeper replied.

Upon hearing that Satoru let out a long sigh and lowered his head. Chiyo looked worried about Satoru and asked. "What's the Father? Why does Ayahanda make a face that looks so upset?"

"Ah, that's okay," Satoru replied with a knotty smile.

How could I forget about the timeline, if I had been on earth for 4 years, this world would have been 100 years. I was there for 2 more weeks which means, here it's been 1 year and a half.

Satoru was aware of what was happening, he got up from the dining area and walked towards his room with Chiyo. Laying his body on the bed, Satoru calmed himself down and fell asleep soundly from exhaustion. Wearing so much power to open the dimensional tear, even more so now his strength was decreasing as the artifacts he had collected disappeared.

Although he still had physical abilities strong enough to fight against B-rank monsters, Satoru was still quite difficult. Currently he only had the ability to control spirits, in other words his physical abilities were not as strong as before.

The night passed and the sun again illuminated the world, Satoru continued his journey to the capital of the Earshied kingdom. He saw several adventurers sitting together, then approached them. "Good day, do you have time?" greet Satoru.

"Do you know about the events that destroyed the capital of Earshied?" ask Satoru.

"What, just ask that. The city was destroyed because it was invaded by thousands of monsters, but there was something quite strange," the adventurer replied.

"Any?"

"Yes, there were no casualties from the attack, all the monsters were looking for something and just destroyed the buildings" he explained.

He directly exited the adventurer guild and walked towards the mansion where the city lord lived. But, the guards confronted Satoru.

"Is Charlotte in her house?" satoru asked the guards.

The guards looked confused and looked at each other. "Charlotte's? Who's that?" they both said with faces full of confusion.

"Eh? Is he not the son of the city lord here?" satoru said with a face that looked in disbelief.

"uh? The city's ruler has no children, you know?" answer the guards.

"..."

Satoru overturned his body and raised his wings and flew away. The two guards were shocked even to the point of falling onto the floor. They thought they would die when they saw the winged figure, given the events that befell the royal capital of Earshied.

Satoru still doesn't know what happened during his 1-and-a-half-year disappearance. In fact, he was only on Earth for 2 weeks. But because the difference in timelines makes things messy. Everything he knew in this world became different, the city where he lived was destroyed, his acquaintances were all lost.

Satoru remembers the last city before he was transferred to earth. A port city in the Buerne kingdom, Seishi city. The girl looked at him with such an empty look. The wind blew fiercely and 3 demons appeared before the girl.

"Spirit Summoning: Lightning Wolf!"

Satoru summoned one of the high-level lightning spirits to fight against the three demons. The wolf immediately dashed at the three demons, the fight looked unbalanced. And the demons were defeated easily. The girl remained silent with a blank look like a dead fish. Satoru approached her to check on the girl.

"This!?" Upon seeing the necklace used by the girl, Satoru felt an enormous aura of curse radiating from the crystal on the necklace.

"Spirit summoning: Holy Deer!"

Satoru summons a deer-shaped spirit with a sacred ability to dispel the curse. Although it took quite a long time, the crystal in the necklace was destroyed and the curse disappeared. The girl's eyes looked bright again, then she fainted from exhaustion.

"Maybe I have to wait until he wakes up first," murmured Satoru picked up the girl and brought her to the inn.

Satoru laid the girl on the bed and called out a healing spirit to take care of the lady. While Satoru sat on a chair while looking at the ocean from the window of the inn. He was also trying to find the existence of pieces of his power in the ocean as he had been looking for before.
