Chapter 36: What Is a Disease?

The holidays are over and all the students go back to the academy to study. In Satoru's class back to his usual daily life, he always went to the library to look for books that had information about the Artifact Granting Skill. However, none of the books have any information about it.

"Huh, I guess. After school I will go to the capital library only, maybe there I can get some clues" muttered Satoru after closing the book he read.

"Satoru-san" Sapa one gently.

"Oh, Haruna-san long time no see" Satoru said with a warm smile.

"Can I sit next to you?" Ask Haruna.

"Of course" Satoru replied. "Oh well, thank you for taking care of the rabbits, if you want anything to say. I will do it as a thank you, in the record if I can do it" Satoru said.

"REally!?" Haruna looked surprised to hear that. He wanted to say and ask Satoru something, but his heart said something else. He felt bad for always relying on Satoru.

"Sure, just say what you want" Satoru said with a smile.

At that moment tears trickled down the girl's face, seeing that Satoru was shocked. "What's up!? did I do something that made you sad!?" Satoru said in a panic.

"Ti-not~" Haruna wiped the tears that came out of her eyes. "Satoru-san knows, the reason why I came to the capital and entered the academy?"

"Make a medicine that can cure your mother's illness?" Satoru.

"I don't mind! Right now my priority is only my mother's recovery! If Satoru-san can do it, I beg of you. I will do whatever you want, I will do anything if my mother can be healed" Haruna said seriously.

"Alright, so stop bowing your head. You don't have to do anything, I just want you to stay as you normally are and continue to develop your talent in potion making" Satoru said with a warm smile.

After that Satoru went to the principal's room to ask permission to leave for a few days.

"Alright, there's nothing you can learn here anyway. You are free to go anywhere" said the principal.

Satoru walked out of the room and spoke to Haruna who was waiting by the door. "I get permission, we can go to your village tomorrow" Satoru said.

"really!? Thanks..." There was a small smile on Haruna's face that looked relieved.

The next day they left for the village where Haruna came from. The journey to the village took 5 days, it was quite a long journey.

Satoru and Haruna finally arrive at a village called Ricpion. All the villagers flocked to the village gate welcoming a girl who got off the train.

"Oh, it's Haruna-chan!"

The residents welcomed the girl warmly.

"I'm back to everything!" Haruna greeted all the villagers who greeted him.

At that time all the citizens were curious about the man who came down along with Haruna. They whispered asking about the man.

"Hey, hey Haruna-chan, who's the guy that came with you?"

"Is she your boyfriend?" One of the villagers asked.

Haruna's face reddened "B-b-no.. ka-we have no such relationship" He denied one of the villagers' words with a wave.

"Hohoho, now Haruna has grown into an extraordinary girl" said an old man, who is none other than the village head.

"Grandfather, how's my mother doing?" Tana Haruna with worry.

"The situation remains the same, he is still lying on his bed" said the village chief with a heavy heart.

Haruna went straight to her house while calling Satoru "Satoru-san!!"

Satoru immediately follows Haruna and enters the house where his mother lives. Inside a room was a woman with brown hair lying weakly on a mattress. His face was so pale and there was skin that began to turn purple on the neck.

Is that really a disease!?

When he saw that, Satoru was not sure that the thing that was suffered by Haruna's mother was a disease. A pale body with skin that turns into a purplish color, and there are black lines that appear on the legs to hands.

"Hey, Haruna... Is it true your mother has an illness?" Satoru asked to confirm that.

"I don't know... I've searched through all the books, there's not a single illness that explains what my mother went through..." Haruna answered with a sad face.

"I see, can you come out for a second? I will try to cure your mother" Satoru told Haruna to get out of the room.

"Ta-but... Isn't it that Satoru-san can't use magic or concoct medicine?" Haruna.

"I want you to trust me, I promise to heal your mother" Satoru said seriously.

Haruna nodded and walked out of the room, waiting for him to get so agitated that he was about to re-enter the room, but the door was locked by Satoru from inside.

"I'm not sure if it's a disease, it's already like a curse" muttered Satoru looking at the body condition of Haruna's concerned mother.

"Tenseiga" Satoru summoned one of his swords, pulled the sword out of the sheath and slashed at Haruna's mother.

A black aura came out and was absorbed into the sword. His purple skin and streaks began to disappear and his pale skin began to brighten again.

"Thank God this is in line with what I think" murmured Satoru.

He walked to the door and opened it. At that time Haruna's mother woke up and called out to the male figure who was trying to get out of the room room.

"Emm? You who?" Speech weak.

"Ah, you've woken up well" Satoru opened the door, Haruna who had been leaning on the door suddenly fell into Satoru's chest.

"Eh? a~ aaa~ Maaf`" Her gaze with a flushed face.

"I'm Haruna's friend" Satoru said smiling as he gently rubbed Haruna's hair that was currently stuck to her chest.

"I-mom!!!" Haruna immediately ran over and hugged her mother with flowing tears.

Satoru immediately came out of the house and looked around the village where Haruna was born.

In the room Haruna still hugged her mother so happily when she knew she had woken up and looked so healthy.

The mother gently stroked Haruna's hair "Sorry for making you worry about Haruna..." Said slowly.

Haruna shook her head slowly "Eng... I don't need to apologize, I'm very happy to see that I've opened my eyes again" Haruna said with a smile that was so relieved.

"Hey, Haruna who was that man?" Ask the mother.

"He's a friend of mine from the academy in the capital, his name is Satoru" Haruna answered her mother's question.

"Once you go, you make a great friend Haruna. But when you saw her in his arms just now, was it possible that she was your boyfriend?" Said the nosy mother asking.

"Bu-no! A-I and Satoru-san have no such relationship" teased Haruna with blushing cheeks.

The mother laughed at her son's behavior.
