Chapter 12: Wine Can Beat Me
In the classroom Satoru still felt dizzy from the wine he had drunk accidentally in the adventurer guild last night. He could not follow the lesson well and went to the Uks to rest. After resting for quite a while, he finally started to get better and went out of the uks room.
When he opened the door he accidentally collided with someone who was running around in a hurry.
"Aah!" the girl who hit him dropped some of the books he was carrying so they were scattered on the floor.
Satoru who fell down opened his eyes slowly and looked at the girl in front of him. His eyes were fixed when he saw the girl's face. "Beautiful.." - Inadvertently his mouth muttered little looking at the beauty of the girl before him.
"Sorry, I accidentally bumped-" when the girl saw Satoru she remembered someone who once saved her when attacked by bandits. "Eh! You were the one who helped me back then, weren't you?"
Hearing that Satoru realized from his daydream, he immediately dodged and got up. "I think you're wrong" Satoru reached out his hand and helped the girl get up.
The white-haired girl with blue eyes received Satoru's helping hand. "Thank you, once again sorry for bumping into you"
"What's wrong, then until later" Satoru left the girl and returned to his classroom. He sat on his stool looking out the window because his head was still feeling a little dizzy.
After school was over, Satoru went to the academy training ground. There's Rey and the others waiting for practice. But Satoru can't train them for today given the circumstances.
"Sorry, Rey senpai. But for today I can't teach you guys, my head still feels dizzy" Satoru gave Rey an excuse while sitting in a chair and holding her head.
"Are you okay, Satoru?" Rey and the others looked worried looking at Satoru's pale face.
They told Satoru to go home and rest. The man who was very skilled in sword fighting and fighting against his enemy without fear, could now be defeated with just a cup of wine.
On the bed in his room, Satoru could only close his eyes hoping that the dizziness he was experiencing disappeared. His body's resistance to alcohol is so weak that it still makes him feel dizzy even though it is long enough.
"Jugo shit, I'll give him the calculation later..." On his bed Satoru muttered in annoyance to an adventurer who gave him the cup of wine.
It was getting dark, Satoru woke up from his sleep and was already starting to feel better. Because all day not eating his stomach rang because of the rumbling.
"Ughh~ I haven't eaten anything since morning..." Holding his empty stomach, Satoru went out to go to a restaurant that was open that night.
After walking a short distance from his house, Satoru finds a place to eat called Brick Oven. The place was so crowded, that Satoru could not enter.
I think I'll find another restaurant...
As he turned around Satoru hit someone in luxurious clothes. "Awh!" He fell down and immediately saw who he had hit.
"What are commoners like you doing here?! quickly kowtow and apologize for bumping into me!" The nobleman arrogantly told Satoru to bow down to him.
"Hah~ this is why I don't want to get too involved with the nobles..." Satoru muttered softly and got up to his feet. "I'm sorry I accidentally hit you. Then excuse me" Satoru just lowered his head slightly while staring at the cynical nobleman and left.
"Hey you stop being so impolite!" The nobleman shouted loudly stopping Satoru who was walking away.
The young man stopped his steps and turned his head back with a sharp cynical look. "At this time my mood is not good, I beg you to forget this incident once"
The noble fell silent in silence when he saw the gaze of the young man who had just hit him.
Satoru immediately walked away from the place and looked for another restaurant for dinner. Because I never found him Satoru went to the adventurer guild to eat there.
Upon entering the guild he saw Jugo who was sitting back and chatting with his friends. Seeing Satoru coming to Jugo's guild stand up and greet him "Ouh good night Satoru!".
Satoru walked over to her with an annoyed look, Jugo who was astonished by the young man who approached her with such an annoyed face tried to ask. "Hey, what's spoiled"
Ohmm!!!
"Ugh~ ahaha sorry, I didn't realize it was high-level wine" the guilty Jugo apologized to Satoru and lowered his head.
"I'll forgive you if you treat me to dinner" Satoru smiled and sat down while gently tapping the table with his index finger.
"Ahaha, okay. Eat as much as you, I'll pay!" Jugo replied with a loud laugh and sat at the same table.
The adventurer who heard Jugo's words shouted in excitement. "Hey everybody listen, Jugo will treat us all! eat fully!"
Hearing that Jugo gaped "E-everything, to-please don't overdo it, my wallet can dry"
On that night Satoru can smile happily with his food, while Jugo looks grim while looking at his money bag is thinning.
"Hey, Satoru. Do you want to join us on this quest tomorrow?" Jugo pulled out a bandit extermination quest sheet.
Satoru took the quest paper and read it. "Quest eradication bandit yah..." He thought for a moment and nodded to accept Jugo's invitation "Alright, I'll come!".
Jugo and his party get excited because Satoru is coming along. "Then tomorrow we will meet at the city gate, in the afternoon"
After finishing eating Satoru say goodbye to Jugo and friends. He did not go straight home, on that quiet night Satoru sat on top of the clock tower in the middle of the city.
Enjoying the cool night breeze, he hums softly while tapping the wall with the right rhythm.
This place is really peaceful...
I think I'll go here every night...
While looking around the city, he saw a girl who looked quite familiar was running towards the outside of the gate. Behind him were several men who followed him with sharp weapons.
That girl... who was in the inn earlier right?
Seeing a woman in trouble Satoru immediately went down and ran quickly following the girl. He caught up with the girl and stood in front of the gate until she hit him by accident.
"Awh!" The blue-haired woman fell down, she looked so scared. "A-a-are you r-their partner?" With a tremble the girl spoke to Satoru who was looking towards her.
"What's going on? why are you being chased by them?" Not answering the girl's words, Satoru immediately asked her a question.
Soon the party chasing the girl arrived. "Woi j4l4ng shit! Don't run again and quickly surrender yourself!" One of the men who was chasing him shouted in great annoyance.
"Die!!" The girl was so scared and was about to run away. But Satoru restrains her by pulling the collar of the girl's shirt.
"W-why are you holding me back!? It's true that you're on their side!" The girl yelled in annoyance at Satoru.
"Hey, what did this girl do that made you so upset?" Satoru asked with the entourage while restraining the girl who tried to escape.
"Oi, oi, a boy like you shouldn't interfere in adult affairs" One of the men in the entourage came forward and attacked Satoru with a knife.
Satoru releases the girl and pushes her away while dodging the attack.
"It looks like you guys really want to fight well..." Satoru wiped the blood on his cheek as it was scratched by the blade of the previous attack. His eyes sharply stared coldly at the group of men.
His left hand moved a little pushing he said that was on his waist out of the sheath. Satoru slowly pulled out the katana on his waist and directed it to the group in front of him.
