EPILOG: A Perfect Ending

May, 2026...

"Good morning, Mrs Danny Adhitama!" Say hello to Danny excitedly as he entered the room while carrying a small table on which were two pieces of waffle with slices of banana, strawberry, and some blueberry seeds on top. Not to forget also Danny prepared a glass of low-fat chocolate milk for his wife.

Hearing Danny's voice, Qiara, who was already half awake from her sleep, got up and sat on the bed trying to collect her life which was still scattered.

"Darling, what time is it? Why didn't you wake me up?" Qiara asked with a hoarse voice.

Before answering Qiara's question, Danny placed the small table before Qiara. He then gave one kiss on his wife's forehead, "let's have breakfast first! I didn't wake you up on purpose, so you can sleep longer. Just last night you came back from the hospital, I don't want you to bother with home affairs."

"How's shhenna?"

"Shenna I took a shower, I made breakfast too. Now you are eating with Mba Nila. Everything's done, Miss Boss!"

Qiara nodded slowly, and began to eat the waffles that Danny had prepared for her. Since they married, then Qiara became pregnant and gave birth, Danny transformed into a figure of sprightly husband for him. Even in the past, when Qiara had just given birth to Shenna, Danny was the one who took care of Shenna more than him.

Qiara had never expected before, that spoiled, childish, stubborn Danny, and always want to win alone will be the figure of a husband and father who is very extraordinary for himself and their only daughter who has now turned four years old.

"Why aren't you ready? Not to the office?" Qiara asked when she realized that Danny was still wearing his casual clothes.

"I'm taking a leave of absence. I want to take my beloved wife."

Qiara hissed while smiling.

"Oh yes, Qi. semalem I've talked to Mama, from today, Shenna let me be with Mama first. And we're gonna go on a two-week vacation to Venice."

Hearing Danny's words, Qiara immediately put away the small table from before him. He was about to open his mouth to protest, but before Qiara could do it, Danny took the opportunity to hug Qiara and shower her with kisses all over his face.

"Darling, stop!" Pinta Qiara, trying to stop Danny's madness. But instead of following Qiara's request, Danny instead chose not to care.

"Why did you suddenly go to Venice?" Qiara asked on the sidelines of the kiss after the kiss that Danny showered on her.

The question that Qiara threw finally made Danny stop his kiss for a moment. He then put his arm around Qiara's shoulder, and said, "honestly last night, I took a look at your draft novel, you chose the setting in Venice, that's why, I want to take you there. So that your portrayal is more real."

Qiara was stunned listening to her husband's answer.

From the moment they got married to this moment, Danny relentlessly kept giving him surprises. One day Qiara told me that in the evening, she dreamed of eating ice cream with Danny. And the next day, Danny made his dream come true. Like that, Danny always tried his best for Qiara. Fulfilling all his desires, and realizing each of his dreams has become the goal of Danny's life.

One year ago, Qiara resigned from ANHstar Radio and decided to focus on taking care of her husband and son. Together with that, Qiara begins to discover her other dreams; becoming a writer.

And Danny was always with him, faithfully supporting his dreams at every step.

Danny smiled mischievously. A moment later, he whispered something in Qiara's ear, "the actual survey of the location is just an excuse. My main goal is to get you there for a second honeymoon. Shenna's big enough, it's the perfect time to give a sister to Shenna."

Qiara chuckled amusedly with her eyes that were starting to water. Not quite up there, Danny went on, "oh, yeah! I want boys. But whose face looks like yours."

They both laughed. Not long after, they faced each other. Danny's eyes full of love, even make the tears that tried to hold Qiara finally seeped. Danny also gently wiped away Qiara's tears.

"Why is my wife so beautiful? In a previous life, I must have saved a world. If not, how could I be so lucky now?" Said Danny with great determination. And it's honest.

Qiara, who already had no power to stem all the outpouring of her feelings, immediately carried herself into Danny's arms. Danny landed another kiss on the top of Qiara's head.

Not long after, the sound of the door opening made them both turn towards the door, and find Shenna who was walking towards them.

"Mommy's with Daddy hugging me, don't you take Shenna, anyway?" Shenna's protest was a little upset, yet her face actually looked extremely adorable.

If it can be described, Shenna is very similar to Danny as a child.

"I'm sorry we. Now, Shenna can join." Danny said. He then opened both hands, raised Shenna's tiny body, then placed her halfway between himself and Qiara. Qiara hugged her daughter and gave her a kiss on her head.

January, 2000...

"Qia, what more picture?"

Danny asked as he glanced at Qiara's picture book. Qiara was drawing a bridge under which there was a river with several boats.

Qiara stopped her activities for a moment, then looked at Danny. "Yesterday, when I was with Papa again watching TV, I saw this. Papa said, this is the city of Venice. One day, I'm gonna come here, try to get on the boat. Must be exciting." Qiara replied innocently.

Danny who listened to her just nodded. Afterwards, Danny was again busy with his picture book. At that time, the two of them were lying in Danny's backyard while drawing something in their respective picture books.

"Danny has a dream, too, right? What's Danny's dream?"

Danny thought long enough before finally answering without looking at his interlocutor.

"I want to fulfill all of Qia's dreams."
