If there really is a demon up there, then the safety of the lower level Demon Hunter that has not been qualified to fight. They will only be threatened with death. And Aaron was afraid he wouldn't be able to protect them.

"The first step of water science!" after saying that, Aaron's sword glowed a light blue then let out water. He cut off the man's hand with force, in order to stop the snake venom.

"Aaahh...my hand!" screech the man as his hands are broken to his elbows. He was in so much pain, even crying. His blood is pouring down.
"Second water-step science, healing!" Aaron then deployed his healing water science technique to suppress the bleeding in the man's hand.

The bleeding in the man's hand stopped because of Aaron's water-stroke. "It does not cure, it can only relieve bleeding. Sorry for your hand." Sorry Aaron because he cut off the man's hand. Aaron, who looks cold and thin, can apologize too. Aaron even wrapped the man's hand in a cloth torn from his shirt.
