Chapters 14. The middle class devil

Jack carried the legendary axe to where his friends were. He was curious and wanted to know who had the axe before.

Lilian looked at Jack in wonder as she looked at the legendary axe in Jack's right hand. “Jack, the weapon ...”

“We help him,” said Lilian immediately released her bow about one of the bat wings which then screamed in pain. The bow of the arrow let out a fire and made the bat release its grip from the shoulder of the woman who had been shouting and struggling.

“I'll catch him,” said the running Jack, trying as fast as possible to catch the fallen woman with a gaping wound on the shoulder due to the grip of the bat monster's leg.

Jack placed his axe on his back with adhesive straps. Then stretched out his hand to catch the woman who cried out in fear. “Can!”

“Fire Arrow – fire arrows!” Lilian has not given up. He immediately threw an arrow towards the left bat wing because the right wing had been hit by an arrow and burned first.

“Basic! You will not be able to defeat me!” The bat opened its mouth and let out a very loud sound making the Demon Hunters close their ears.

The deafening sound was one of the skills of the bat monster to weaken its prey. “Aaaaaaaaaa!”

Jack could not stay on the clock just like this because the bat monster could have attacked suddenly after making the Demon Hunters trouble for the deafening sound. Jack took his hand out of his ear. He tried to resist even though his body felt so sore when moved. He held back the legendary axe he had just obtained. “I ... I will not give up!”

Jack could miraculously fight that deafening sound and managed to move his body. He dashed towards the bat and jumped high while swinging his axe swiftly slashing the bat horizontally. Blood was splashing everywhere. The bat monster instantly fell down after it split into two.

At the other Demon Hunters released their hands from their ears. “Burn him, Lilian!” Jim ordered Lilian who immediately responded and nodded her head.

Lilian did not take long to make the bat monster into ashes.

Jack looked at his trembling hand holding the axe that was covered in the blood of the bat monster earlier. “I succeeded. I can eliminate that monster!”

“Congratulations, Jack. It was a medium-level demon. You can deal with it well,” flattered Jim who did not expect Jack to surpass his abilities and lunged at that deafening sound.

“I turned out to be able to beat him,” said Jack still could not believe what he did.

Lilian smiled and patted Jack on the shoulder as she said, “You are indeed great. The bat had a lot of power. When we did not struggle with the ultrasonic sound earlier, it turns out you can penetrate and beat the bat itself.”

“I wouldn't be able to do this without your support.” Jack understood that he was a nobody a few days ago and now could be part of the Demon Hunter, it could even surpass the limits of strength.

“Your father is legendary. Even medium-level demons could be killed with a single swing. Very good, Jack,” said Abraham who glared at the distance.

There are still many demons and monsters to be exterminated. The Demon Hunters were more and more confident that they could fight it all. Moreover, Jack who has special blood has begun to show strength in him that has been buried.

From a distance, one of the Demon Hunters gazed towards Jack with overflowing anger. Jealousy, envy, and disapproval of Jack's presence made the man clench his hands.
