Chapters 2. The arrival of demons and monsters

Jack gaped when he saw a creature standing in front of him. The creature was tall and its tongue stuck out, its body hairy in black. Jack doesn't know what the animal is, it looks like a bear but it looks like a snake too. But Jack was obviously very frightened by the figure.

"Rwaiarr..."

The demon figure growled right in front of Jack and just made the man scared to death. Jack is a coward, he's even afraid to just watch a ghost movie. There was a monster in front of him.

Jack took what was there as a weapon, he took a flower pot and swung it at the creature. Clearly, the creature wanted to attack him.

"Go from here! What are you, huh?" jack shouted, then threw the flower pot towards the hairy monster and hit its tail. The monster growled louder, his hands were covered in fur, and fingers with long fingernails were trying to reach Jackson.

While the creature was still in its place, Jack ran with all his might and came out of its cost which was on the top floor. And out there, there was a commotion as well when he saw some people running around because they were attacked by strange creatures there.

"PLEASE! Akk!!!"

"Don't kill me!"

The atmosphere became gloomy but boisterous because of the cries of people who asked for help, even Jack stared at the sky which now fell raindrops but red.

"Why did the sky suddenly turn dark when it was still daytime? Why is it raining with this red water? Is this blood? Oh my God." Jack murmured as he saw the drops of water from the sky in his red hands. He smelled the red liquid and it smelled fishy.

"Blood! It's blood!" jack was shocked.

Suddenly Jack was surprised by the figure of a creepy creature that flew like a bat, but large in size. Leading towards him. Its canine teeth are sharp, its claws are also long.

"Aarrrrr.." the creature growled.

Just as the creature was about to attack Jack, the man quickly dodged due to reflexes. But his body fell to the floor.

BUGH!

"Ack!" Jack grimaced in pain as he felt his hand hit the other door.

He wanted to keep quiet, but yeah how else. His fear makes him have to run and keep running to find a safe place even though he does not know where the safe place is.

Jack went to the emergency stairs, he was not alone. There were some neighbors who also ran towards the bottom in a hurry. They are being chased by strange creatures.

"Jack! You're still alive apparently?" ask a middle-aged woman to Jack. He's his boarding neighbor.

"Did the lady underestimate me?" jack asked unhappily, for the middle-aged woman always mocked him as a loser.

"I thought a coward would die first, but you're still alive. I don't think what I saw in those movies is entirely true!" the middle-aged woman was on her run. His breath was breathless, a sign that he was getting tired. Sweat flooded his face.

"Not everything in the movie is true, Miss Belinda!" exclaimed Jack who was still upset at the middle-aged woman.

"Yes, now I know that-"

"AHH!!" scream the middle-aged woman.

Jack was wide-eyed when he saw something eating the middle-aged woman who had been beside him. The crocodile-like creature devoured mistress Belinda ferociously. In one strike, mistress Belinda had already entered into her body. At that moment, the monster's body turned a little big.

"Mrs Belinda!!" jack panicked. Moreover, the distance between him and the creature was very close. Is he next to eat? Holy hooch! God, is this the apocalypse? World's end? Jack thought in his heart.

"Whose turn is it now?" said the crocodile-headed creature by wiping a little blood on the corner of his lips. Blood of the man he eats. Jack could see in his eyes the number 5, no matter what it meant.

HOLY JEEZ! Can these creatures talk?

Jack was more and more astonished, moreover this creature could talk. It's so creepy from the zombie movies he always watches on weekends.

"Mother.I don't want to die" said one girl, hugging her mother in fear. The mother was just as frightened as the child.

"All right, I'll leave you to be last! If you're the weakest here" the creature said, pointing at Jack with its sharp fingers. He thinks Jack is the weakest there, while everyone is fighting back.

"Ohhhh!!!"

"NO!!"

The sound of screams after shouts echoed in Jack's ear, along with the tragic sight he saw right before his eyes. Where the creature killed everyone on the stairs. Blood poured there, making the floor and walls that were originally white turned red by their blood. The creature had no feelings, it attacked and ate humans blindly.

'I'd better escape while the creature eats them' Jack said in his heart, he'll take advantage of the opportunity to escape from the creature. He did not care even if he had to be called a coward. That cowardice could have kept him alive.

"Mother.mother...don't hurt my mother!" the screams of a girl stopped Jack's steps, who was about to open the door to the outside of the boarding house.

"Go son! Go!" shouted the mother who was now in the grip of the crocodile monster's hand.

Jack's conscience was pinched, he couldn't just leave the mother and child there. Only he and the two men survived.

"MOTHER!" the girl tried to beat the crocodile monster with her bare hands, so that her mother was released.

"Damn! I can't let them get fucked!" Jack turned his body, he climbed back up the stairs to the top. Along the way up, the stairs were covered in blood.

Jack approached the girl and grabbed her. He also tried to save his mother who was almost eaten.

"Hoho..so you're back again? The coward pretends to be a hero!" the creature smiled smirkingly, he looked at Jack with disdain.

"Take him off!" jack shouted while picking up the baseball bat that was there. With trembling hands he tried to fight against the monster.

HAP!

"Nhyam..nyam nyam..."

"MOTHER!" the girl cried hysterically when she saw her mother's head being eaten first and separated from her body. Jack immediately covered the girl's eyes with his hands.

"You're so mean!" jolt Jack was angry. The man asked the girl to hide first. Unfortunately behind the girl was a snake monster.

"Akkha!!"

The girl was struck by the snake and within seconds, the girl fell unconscious with a blue body. Jack is late to save her, he doesn't save anyone.

"You're a loser Jack! You're trash!" jack said as he shed his tears, seeing the girl was lifeless.

Without Jack realizing it, the crocodile monster's mouth was already gaping behind him and preparing to devour him. The look of the crocodile monster was so breathless to him.

"Fire Arrow~fire arrow!" a woman shouted that made Jack look back. He saw the creature that almost ate it and there was a fire arrow stuck in the body of the creature.

"Stupid! Not running, you're here!" the woman who appeared out of nowhere shouted, she was carrying a lot of arrows and also an archery tool in her hand.

"Wow.that woman is so beautiful and cool!" muttered Jack with fascinated eyes to see the figure of the woman who helped him.

No, this is not the time to be amazed. It's time to escape!
