The Antagonist: The World Ends Theory
Chapter 63 - The Great Day

"Sister, I think you're pretty cool when you're wearing Daddy's oversized outfit."

"I thought you were praising me just so that I could accept the Duke position."

That's not entirely wrong. Hellen intended to praise his brother sincerely, but in the depths of his heart was tucked into a hint of cunning. It's all because of their father's influence, Hendrick knows that.

Today is a big day for the Duke Wayne family, as they will oust Frederick Wayne from his previous post and be replaced by Hendrick. This event was attended by many important people, it seemed like it was only the nobility.

From Count Cheltics, Baron Llamante, Grand Duke Harold to the king. Unfortunately, there was no riotous girl next to Hendrick. But the middle of nowhere boy at least said he would come back. Maybe the day he returned was still a long time ago.

All Hendrick had to do was wait.

If he was reckless to break through the border of Hortensia, then the relationship between Ranunculus and Hortensia would fade even more. In fact, the West is a neutral party.

Hendrick stared at his reflection on the mirror surface. In the past Clara often mocked him as a venomous tongue or the like that impressed him is a 'true astrologer'. Well, but the reality is inevitable, Hendrick is good at insinuating.

Hellen had only surrounded her since then in an effort to find the flaws of her brother's appearance in order to be perfected. According to Hendrick, it was a pointless thing to do.

But Hendrick still had the heart not to insinuate his sister.

"Are you done? Long - over time I felt sore because I continued to stand up straight. I need a break." Hendrick said, then sighed.

"Sister! You're too tired! You should be as brave as Dad!"

"It's nothing, but all night I need to prepare for today. Rather than mess up, I chose to stay up late. But I was immediately affected, now I need to sleep." Hendrick.

"But it's Brother! The show's gonna be a minute"

"It's still a few hours away..."

Hendrick ignored the babbling of his sister, he exited the room of his father and mother and stepped into his room. But on the way, someone with extraordinary good looks comes across with his lackeys.

"What do you want, Your Highness Prince?" With a smile made - make, Hendrick greeted Rovers. He is a good insinuator, but Hendrick still remembers the manners as well if in front of this child. And his true lackeys...

"I didn't think Vester would come." Hellen, who was standing behind Hendrick. "Is there something...?"

Rovers shook his head slowly.

"Not so, I'm just used to taking Vester everywhere. So to come here I came with him."

Spoiled child.

Hendrick tried to hold back his disgust at this one prince. Maybe since the king's birthday, Hendrick's view of this creature turned bad. Everything changes because of one woman.

"By the way, you're walking in the wrong direction. Or do you intend to go back to your room to avoid this big day?" Ask Rovers.

This time his facial expression was quite strange, Hendrick and Vester knew the change of the 'two faces. Whereas the naive Hellen could only pay attention. He nodded - nodding his head as Rovers' statement was one hundred percent correct.

"Of course not, you misunderstood."

Hendrick looked indifferent, he turned his back and walked towards the hall of Wayne's residence. Rovers walked next to him, while Hellen seemed to be chatting casually with Vester.

I hope my time to wait won't be long...

...❀...

This morning, the first snow started to fall. Though the cold has been there since last night, but it turns out the snow stopped in the morning. Today is a big day for the entire population of Ranunculus, because there will be a change of Duke.

In the hall had already gathered various noble families. Frederick and Eleanor greeted the guests. At the end of his sight, Frederick caught the figure of the Rage and his two younger siblings.

It had been a long time since they were teachers and students.

Frederick approached the Saw, "It has not been a long time. You seem to have decided the direction of your life, am I wrong?"

A moment of silence, "...Grand Duke Harold shouldn't have charged this matter to me. I think there are still many nobles who are able to replace that position."

"Only you are capable, that's why you were chosen. Do you still not understand?"

"....."

"I wondered, who made you establish the choice to become a royal advisor?" Frederick smiled wryly, staring intensely at the Role.

The roar turned its attention to the large door of the hall. He waited for the show to start so he could go home quickly. Frederick still maintained a smile on his face, presumably this former student became a little brash.

"You know? The prince did not explain it verbally, but the eyes explained many things." Frederick drew near to the Goat, lowering his voice. "What color do you see from 'him'?"

Silenced saw.

"Although he often stopped in dark places. But the color he has is very bright and beautiful, let me guess."

The surprise saw Frederick.

"When I thought it would be 'dirty' and 'dull'." Mumm Rael.

"Honestly, it was a rose, you blew it away because 'the color' was so bright, wasn't it?"

"....."

"Well, until now he's been illegible. Incredible stupidity, he's neither naive nor cunning."

The ghost smiled cynically, "He is just a normal person who lives not as he wishes. But as per the needs of those around him, it's sad."

"Just like you, a rose. You're not fundamentally different."

After some time, Hendrick came along followed by Hellen, Rovers and Vester. Frederick drew closer to his son, Hendrick's face turned sour when his father came.

"You're still vengeful for me."

"God! Just think for yourself, I don't want to know."

...❀...

"When are you going home? Let alone me, even the servants and bodyguards here are sick of seeing your form that is always wandering." With cruelty, Meiger asked.

The man waved his hand casually, "Alright - fine. I'm going home today, even though I'd really like to wait for the two of them to return from Freesia."

"What do you know? It's not important to you either."

"Well... that girl is from Ranunculus, right? I just wanted to ask him if he ever found my letter or even met the lady of love in the letter."

"The stupid thing."

"Hm?"

"Your letter cannot go so far as to misguide. Accept that you have actually been rejected. My only message is, don't you go crazy for being rejected by a woman."

The man was stunned for a moment, but afterwards he laughed out loud. To the point where Meiger was also irritated and had run out of patience. He really wanted to throw this man into the training field and exterminate him in a single slash.

Unfortunately, that man is difficult to eliminate.

"I heard before Clara was thrown into this place she had a bad rumor in Ranunculus huh?" The man now asks.

Meiger stared at the man sharply, "How dare you call him familiar."

"Jeez, just because he was and is living in Hortensia, you became claiming he was yours too. Oh come on, what kind of emperor are you?"

"That's because it sounds annoying to my ears."

"Say you're jealous."

"Not so"

DONG!

Meiger failed to finish his sentence, he looked at the fallen temple bells. The age of the building is older than it seems, even though Meiger thought that the temple could last much longer.

It seems like it is time to renovate the ancient temple.

The man also looked at the temple just like Meiger, "Hee. Don't you have any plans to turn it into something different? The problem is that the temple hasn't been used since you stopped visiting it."

"That's not gonna do, maybe I'll just fix it or something." Meiger stood up from his chair, and walked out of the room.

The man frowned, feeling curious. "Why is that?"

"Because there are still some people praying there."

"Oh."

The man glanced once more at the temple, before he followed Meiger to exit the room.

The temple was built a long time ago. Even in the first imperial period, the temple was already standing there. There was much prayer and the building never changed in the first place. Perhaps this is the reason why Meiger never changed its shape let alone destroyed it.

Meiger also has many memories of his late mother at the temple. Well, the worst decision if Meiger chooses to destroy it.

He just wanted to capture those beautiful memories.
