The Antagonist: The World Ends Theory
Chapter 60 - Second Weapon

Clara and Meiger are eating at the dinner table. Next to Meiger is Jean, while behind Clara is Avrim.

"Your Majesty, how is Freesia?" Clara asked as she continued to swallow every fruit that had been cut small by Avrim.

Meiger stopped his eating. He stared intently at Clara who was still casually chewing on pieces of fruit. "Why should I tell you about them?"

"Hamba was once a weapon of Freesia."

"Then...?"

"Hamba was only worried that they were again - again making weapons. Isn't it dangerous if there's a 'Second Clara'?"

"You're just curious, aren't you?" Meiger.

"hey! That's not wrong either." Clara clutched her nape awkwardly. "However, the reason just now wasn't a lie either!"

"I know."

"Lantas, why can't the Servant know?" Clara started whining.

Knowing that Clara will continue to whine. Meiger resignedly said what Clara wanted to hear.

"They did make you second."

"Ohuk!" Clara choked on the wine she had just swallowed. "Who is their victim?" I can't wait for Clara to ask again.

The old man's estimate missed apparently!

"A young man, his name is George."

"...."

George's? I've heard that name but where? The more I forget...

"Even though he is now you. But he doesn't look like you."

Clara looked at Meiger in a strange way. "Hamba and him are not alike. He's a man and a servant woman."

"If you keep talking, I'll rip your mouth out." Meiger said coldly.

Clara was silent.

"It's not like you whose conscience has been swallowed by black magic. This new weapon is too good and too pure to replace you. In short, he's not that hard to kill someone else like you."

Clara stared flat at Meiger.

Isn't he the same as me?

"I know what you're thinking."

Clara quickly turned her eyes to Avrim who was busy cutting her favorite apples.

"Avrim, make it look like a rabbit, okay?" Pinta Clara's.

"Sure, Miss."

Meiger who knew Clara deliberately switched the conversation to just silence and sip her tea. He sighed softly and Jean arrived - suddenly going to the emperor's room.

"Your Majesty, can Servant save the new weapon? As in the stories - heroic stories in the legends." With full spirit Clara returned to the original topic.

"No. What if you trouble me later? I don't want to take any chances."

"Uhh... What does His Majesty worry about the Servant when the Servant is scuffed? It's so sweet." Ask Clara with seductive intentions.

Meiger furrowed his brows. He understands that Clara is starting to play a storyline that sucks and has nothing heroic at all.

"I'll break your legs so I can't walk anymore." Meiger said in a flat tone, but tucked the threat there.

"Hamba can be carried by Avrim!"

"You want to trouble him?" Meiger glances sharply.

"Ukh...!"

Clara finally gave up, arguing with a ruler will only leave a sense of disappointment. Because after all, although from the outside it seems a lot silent, but once Meiger gives the order, it is absolute. No one dared to ask him to change.

Meiger smiled very thinly.

"I'm just kidding, you can go with Jean and Avrim. But you should be back no later than a month later. Long periods in Freesia will make your mind dark."

Desperate Clara becomes excited again when Meiger allows her. Only, the thing that worried him at the moment was...

A month, save a gun for a month. The trip to Freesia only takes half a day on a horse-drawn carriage. And a quarter of a day if we use the horse at full speed. But that's not the case...

How did Jean and Avrim convince George to leave Freesia and flee to Hortensia?

"I know what you're thinking, but you don't have to think about it, I think. In your usual way, it can also make him want to follow you." Chirpe Meiger.

"Huh?"

What does my usual way mean?

...❀...

Clara swung her legs forward and backward. Tired of this activity, Clara will leave for Freesia tonight to save the second weapon.

This is quite thrilling, because Clara actually once inhabited Freesia and was employed as a terrible weapon that killed people when night came.

Plus, the current cold war between Ranunculus and Freesia was already inevitable. Freesia's defenses were tightened so no intruders could enter. Therefore, the existence of Jean is very important in this 'gun abduction' mission.

"How was Jean prepared?" Ask Clara.

"Jean doesn't have to prepare anything else. He's been training to survive in the middle of a weird time. So if just kidnapping Freesia's second weapon wasn't a big deal to her, maybe."

"It sounds like Jean's a cocky guy."

"Jean just doesn't want to aggravate the default that will be taken."

Why didn't you say that from the beginning? Then I'll be unsuspecting...

Clara rolled her body to the edge of the bed. Pay close attention to Avrim's activities. All along the closest to Clara was this middle-aged woman. Clara can't imagine what her life would be like without Avrim, maybe she'd 'fall'?

I don't know...

At least he knew that in the world of this novel someone was accompanying him. It was as if all his suffering was destroyed just by hearing the words Avrim or seeing the smile on his wrinkled face.

"I'll keep smiling until Miss smiles too."

BRUK SLIP

"Miss!"

Clara's unbalanced body then fell to the floor with no elites. I don't know how many times he's fallen not elite since he lived in Hortensia. Seems like it's been over and over again, if Clara doesn't remember wrong.

Avrim helps Clara to get back on her feet.

Suddenly all of Clara's memories of Avrim appeared in her mind. Already 6 years ago Avrim became Clara's servant. He took an oath of allegiance, but in fact Avrim was someone who was under the Emperor Hortensia.

At first Clara was reluctant to trust Avrim again, but if remembered - remember again. Avrim is the one who paves the way for Clara in every choice given to her.

"Avrim, thank you very much."

Avrim gawked as this young lady said so. This is really a surprise for him, because from childhood Clara was not a person who cared about something about 'thank you' and 'sorry'.

But Avrim should have gotten used to it, because since a few months ago Clara's personality changed drastically. She became a girl who was so cheerful and resourceful, rioters who were able to make even the Emperor Hendrick not want this girl to become extinct.

"Mm... Is there anything Miss suddenly thanked?"

Clara shook her head faintly, "There's nothing special. I said it because you deserve it. After everything you've done for me, I have to say it. You're the best, Avrim!"

DEG

Outside Clara's room, someone stood leaning against the door. He held onto his chest, because it felt tight as if it was filled with an overflow of happiness. Even that person was barely crying from being too happy.

"When Miss didn't say it to me, but why am I still happy?"

"May I ask Miss to say the same to me?"

Jean stared bitterly, pondering how her future would go. But all that is an almighty secret, no one will know what will happen.

However, Jean hopes she will have a happy future.

Jean then turned to look at the view outside the window. All the leaves had now fallen off, the branches and twigs were so empty and hollow. The weather is also getting colder. A sign that the season is changing.

"It looks like tonight's gonna snow first."

...❀...

Even at night, it seems Jean's prediction may be correct. Because the weather outside is getting colder, even mya temperature has dropped dramatically. This trip will be difficult for the three of them.

Clara, Jean and Avrim are ready to leave for Freesia. Their clothes had several layers in order to withstand the piercing cold tonight. The emperor was also there to escort them away.

"Go safely, if you are scratched then you know what the consequences are."

"Your Majesty." Say thirdly.

Jean rode on his horse, and so did Avrim. Clara herself would certainly sit behind Avrim, she was still reluctant to ride a horse with Jean. Even though he knew that Jean was an expert rider, but still. Clara was too afraid to try the uncertain.

Geez...why is riding a horse this hard?!

Clara grumbled in her heart as she struggled in horseback riding. Finally, Meiger also had to intervene and help him ride on the horse.

"Your Majesty, pray for me to make George want to come home with us."

Right, if that gun comes with us. Then the possibility of the attack that will be carried out by Freesia will be smaller. And the black ending can be kept away from me!

"As far as you are, don't take it - take me." Said Meiger indifferently.

"Then we're leaving."

On the night that was illuminated this month, Meiger finally changed her flat expression to be softer. She smiled wryly in response to Clara.

"Good way. And see you next month."
