The Antagonist: The World Ends Theory

The Antagonist: The World Ends Theory
Extra Part 2 - A Better End

"Ma.na.na...."

Laura is painting something. Honestly, after their second meeting yesterday. There was no wind or rain, they suddenly became lovers.

To this day, they both do not understand why it all happened. The two of them did not dispute that and continued their relationship.

Laura is waiting for Michael to arrive at the park. They have a date today. Because it's now the weekend, and there's no overburdening group work.

"Yes."

"Who?"

Laura looked at the astonishment and curiosity of someone who greeted her. He looks like a student of his age. The man waved at her while smiling like an ikemen.

"I'm Jack." Answer it quickly. Straight peek at Laura's painting.

"Jack?"

I think I've heard this name...

"I'm Laura."

"You know, I know."

"...?"

Jack sat on the park bench. It was precisely behind Laura's current position.

"Michael knows your name is also from me."

What the hell is this human talking about? Why did you come to talk about Michael?

"Then?"

"I'm Michael's only friend. I'm so glad to hear she has a boyfriend. Absolutely unexpected news. Popular one-schooler dating two-dimensional schoolgirls."

Laura stared at Jack. How could Michael have a friend this thick? Ah, maybe Michael has no friends and this kid suddenly approaches him because he always looks alone.

"Are you guys on a date?"

"Do I need to answer your question?" Laura asked Jack.

Jack shrugged both of his shoulders indifferently. Apparently Laura is not a friendly girl or approachable by a species like her. Well, at least Jack feels at ease towards Michael's girlfriend. Laura would not be friendly to the man who tried to approach her.

Then Jack's gaze locked onto the painting that Laura was making. This girl is really good at painting, inversely with Michael whose painting is the level of an Elementary School child. Laura's painting looks like it was expertly made.

"Eh? You painted someone? Who'sis that? This guy looks like Michael, no. But I seem to know this face." Jack commented.

Laura gasped softly, she looked closely at her painting. He did not realize that since then what he painted was a man. Not Michael, because it doesn't look like Jack said.

"He's not Michael, is he?"

"I don't think so..."

Laura ignored Jack's astonished gaze. He focused his gaze more on the painting in front of him, already so. As Laura looked up, she saw a man who looked as if he were painting was holding a book.

Laura's eyes widened, she sure did not peg her painting this time. Alias he paints according to his imagination, not just looking and then painted on canvas.

Then why is it so similar? The man in my painting with him...

"Sister!"

Laura who was pensive was a little surprised. When there was another man who approached the man who was similar to his painting. Laura knew the man.

"Michael?"

Nope. That's not Laura. Jack is behind Laura. And it is true that the man who said 'brother' is Michael, Laura's lover.

"Michael has a sister?" Laura asked herself.

"He has it." Jack replied spontaneously.

Then Michael caught the figure of Laura and Jack who were standing next to each other, complete with a canvas that was still wet. Michael stepped over to the two people who were still staring at him and his brother.

"Laura? Sorry I came late." Michael said without caring about Jack.

Behind Michael, a man similar to the one in Laura's painting, who Jack said was Michel's older brother, also approached them. He smiled gently at his two sister friends.

"Hello."

"Huh-hello..." Laura replied to Michael's sister's greeting doubtfully.

"Yo, Brother Axell. It's been a long time since I've seen you." Sapa Jack's.

"Yes.you haven't been home in a long time. Looks like Mika kept driving you away, huh?" Axell widened his smile.

The micas?

"That's right, brother. Your sister always kicked me out for no apparent reason. I didn't bother him at all. It's so sorry for me."

Michael glared, "That's not true. He never came to visit you because this man already has a girlfriend, sister."

"No, Brother!" Michael said with a witty.

"ahaha! She's your sister-in-law, sister-in-law, Axell."

Michael's face was blushing. Jack is so annoying, he can't keep his word at all. If there is no brother, Jack can certainly get a death slap from him.

"Ah...is she your boyfriend, Mika?" Axell turned to ask his sister.

"Hm..." Michael was still with his red face.

So Michael was called Mika by his sister. Why is it like a girl's name to me.

Axell smiled faintly at Michael who was misbehaving. Just this time his sister was acting embarrassed - embarrassed, because of the woman again. Axell would probably tell this happy news to their mother.

"Because you've gathered, how about a kutraktir?" Fresh Axell.

"Yahoo! Ditraktir Axell. I'll come along, deh." Jack just grinned the horse.

Jack immediately pushed Michael towards the nearest cafe. Followed by Laura from behind them. Axell's steps came to a halt when he saw a canvas that depicted himself.

Axell remembers that Michael was terrible at painting. Jack also couldn't possibly produce a painting as good as this. The greatest possibility was the girl who had the status of her sister's lover.

"Um.. you..."

Feeling called out, Laura turned her body towards Axell. He forgot his painting canvas that was still lying on the bench. Can - can the painting not dry.

Laura immediately drew closer to her painting and took it. He checked if anyone faded or not his paint.

"That's your painting?"

Laura nodded slowly.

"You painted me?"

This time Laura shook her head. He knows what Axell looks like. After all Laura had a habit of painting randomly so Axell's face that was painted just now was a coincidence.

"It turns out I'm overconfident." Axell scratched his non-itchy nape. "Oh yeah, I don't know what your name is yet, so can I get acquainted?"

Laura nodded back.

Axell stuck out his hand at Laura, "Once again, my name is Axell, Mika's sister. Oh. You might call him Michael."

Laura replied to Axell's handshake with a thin smile on her lips, "Laura."

"It's nice to see you again, yeah. Laura." - Laura."

Axell let go of their hands, looking at Laura who seemed a bit strange and astonished at him. It was as if Axell's words were wrong.

"Um. It's good to see you, too, Brother Axell."

"Laura!"

Laura looked at the annoyed Jack who was shouting his name. It was something embarrassing, let alone this in a public place. Jack if doing something embarrassing does not know the place.

Jack waved his hand, calling Laura to walk faster. He also called Axell after him.

With quick steps Laura aligned herself with Michael and Jack. He was afraid that Jack would yell out of his way again and end up embarrassing him.

"Hh...?"

Laura looked at her hand which was suddenly grasped by Michael. Finding a puzzled look from Laura, Michael is instead indifferent and just keeps moving forward towards their goal of cafe.

Jack who was standing next to Michael glanced at him cynically. This is what Michael felt all along. Because Jack often bumbar moments with his girlfriend on Michael. Their position is reversed now. Don't tell me that Michael's been taking revenge on Jack for what he's been doing?

"Hey, you two. At least don't sprinkle salt on my wound!" Grumpy Jack.

"Whispering. I'm the one who sees you dating every day, too."

"That's..."

Laura smiled at the behavior of these two friends. Without realizing it, Laura clasped Michael's hand back. This time he dared to do it.

Eh? This time?...Never mind.

Laura threw out all sorts of bad thoughts that hit her. Or some things are actually quite complex. He thinks there are triggers that make him and Michael can date in their second meeting.

But let it be, Laura will not care about the reason. Because now, she is the happiest girl in the world.

Behind the three of them, Axell saw how the interaction between his sister and her lover. A normal and sweet relationship. Axell is happy that Michael is happy too.

A faint smile fell on Axell's face.

"Thank God you're happy. I'm happy for you both."

This time, there was a happier ending for the two of them.
