Not Just a Dream

Not Just a Dream
Revealed

Died on the same day in an accident, Liam's grandfather kept crying. The news that Akio brought was stuck in the recesses of the heart.  Imagine the moment when his son and daughter-in-law died without the closest person. Unexpectedly, fate took them at the same time.

Car stopped. Grandpa Liam wiped her tears. Trying hard to face what is scratched by destiny.

"This is Mr. Reno's house, sir." Akio got down and pegged beside the car. Designate the building behind the gate.

Grandpa Liam opened the windshield, staring at the one-story house. However, the building is quite spacious with modern design. Whether it's been overhauled by the residents or not, at least not as bad as he thought.

"Maybe we can ask for the help of the people here to know more" he explained." Akio gave an opinion so that the news he received yesterday was not confusing.

"Well, I'll wait here."

Almost walking, a woman came out of the house.

Grandpa Liam took off his fancy suit and went down to the woman on the porch. Tell Akio to stay in the car.

Walk slowly towards the owner who is sitting on the terrace.

"Excuse me, may I ask you a question?" ask grandpa Liam kindly.

"Can, Sir. Please sit down!"

Like a commoner, Liam's grandfather immediately sat down without seeing a slightly weathered wooden chair.

"I'm sorry, did you buy this house from Reno before you died or what?" ask Grandpa Liam to start at the core.

"Not from Mr. Reno, but from Ms. Narti, her brother Bu Naomi. He sold it after Reno died. He said anyway for the cost of living Mr. Reno's son," he explained at length.

Deg

Liam's grandfather's heart was racing when he heard the word "son" from the woman sitting in front of him.

"Kids? You mean, Reno's son?" Grandpa Liam's lips twitched in wait for an answer.

"Yes, Sir. I don't know because I'm not a citizen here. But, little did I hear Mr. Reno had a daughter. His stuff is still in the barn. I'll get it for a second." Standing left Liam's grandfather still riveted.

Reno had a child, and the doctor said that Naomi was barren.

The woman came out carrying a large cardboard box in her hand and placed it on the table. Right in front of Liam's grandfather.

"I found this in one of the rooms. Looks like Mr. Reno's son is very accomplished, many trophies."

Grandfather Liam moved, his hand moving open the cardboard covered with duct tape.

At the top, he saw there was a painting of a very beautiful scenery.

Is this a Reno painting, why isn't there a name?

Grandpa Liam took down one by one some of the paintings at the top. After that there was a championship cup.

National champion of painting, Adinda Renata Nicholas.

Instantly the cup in Liam's grandfather's hand fell. Akio who had just come crouched down and caught the object from below until it did not touch the floor.

Renata Nicholas, say it again in your heart.

Renata's name upon receiving the trophy on stage flashed through his brain.

"What's up, Mister?" ask Akio who does not know.

"Who's Renata's full name?" asked Grandfather Liam, his eyes began to be bathed in a clear liquid, a premonition that had been brushed aside repeatedly was again present.

"The notes are__"

"She's just saying Renata, not using a last name, sir."

Grandpa Liam's face looked pale. Resisting the feeling that begins to flare in the chest. The same name with the same skill set struck him many times. How could he hurt his own flesh and blood? Fear also struck considering his actions on the figure of Renata who was so vile.

Renata Nicholas, daughter of Reno Nicholas, my granddaughter. Just saying in my heart, Grandpa Liam's tongue feels faint. His vocal cords were tied up so he couldn't get out.

His painful chest continued to be ignored. Wishing this moment not to collapse with that bitter reality.

"Akio, you unload the contents of the cardboard, and look for evidence again" he said.

Grandpa Liam sat down and leaned back. Condemn everything that was ever said to Renata.

Akio dismantled one by one. Show Grandpa Liam all the contents. Many trophies with the same name, but some of the most surprising, an old photo tucked between the books.

"This is a picture of young master Reno and Miss Naomi and Renata, sir." Poking in front of Grandpa Liam.

Grandpa Liam grabbed the photo and stared fixedly.

So right, Renata is my granddaughter, she's the son of Reno and Naomi.

The clear circle again escaped on Grandpa Liam's cheek profusely. Regret felt. The sole heir had been hurt, even by his insistence of being expelled from the residence that should have been his.

I have to be strong, God still gives me a chance to meet my granddaughter. He is the one who deserves what I have. Although I don't deserve to be forgiven, but I have to explain to her. Once all this is clear, I'll report myself to the police.

"Akio, take it all to the car, I want to see Renata."

Grandpa Liam left the house. Akio followed him from behind and put his things in the trunk.

"Would we ask the people here, sir. Who knew Renata was just a pickle boy?" akio's advice before starting the car engine.

"As far as you are."

Upon arriving at the end of the road, Akio stopped his car, approaching some people who seemed relaxed in front of the house.

"Excuse me, ask a question" said Akio kindly.

Some people are reluctant to see the body of Akio's stocky body that exceeds the average Indo.

"Do you know the late Reno Nicholas?"

All the citizens who were there nodded silently.

"Did he have a child?" ask Akio again.

One of the residents came closer.

"Yes, after living here five years, his wife Reno became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter, Renata. But now I don't know any more where she lives, last with her aunt."

That was enough to describe it all. Akio immediately thanked him and passed.

"Yes, Sir. Renata is Mr. Reno and Ms. Naomi's biological child."

Without being told, Akio drove his car across the increasingly crowded streets. Grandpa Liam was swept away in a daydream. Heedless of his phone ringing so many times.

"Akio, I want to divert all my property to Renata. You take care of everything. After that, I will admit my actions to the police. I'll spend the rest of my life there."

Grandfather Liam revealed his heart. He no longer wanted to be caught in sin. Perhaps it was the only way to make amends for the mistakes that had been made to his grandchildren.

"No, Mister. Let me serve that punishment. You should be happy with your grandson. I'll be in charge of all this."
