Not Just a Dream

Not Just a Dream
Refusing

Renata is in the park with a complete painting tool. However, after almost an hour, he produced nothing. His brain felt cloudy and could not imagine fully. Again the arranged marriage planned by Bu Nurmala and Bu Amara disturbed his life. Instead of challenging their choices, he just wants to be happy with the man who loves him, not out of compassion or coercion.

Supposedly, when the orange tinge rises, Renata can make a very beautiful picture. But all of this has passed in vain.

After returning home from the restaurant, Renata tends to be silent and daydreaming, sometimes he does not answer Nurmala's questions.

I can't think of Mr. Bagas, I have to focus on my ideals that are in sight.

Renata picked up the brush and began to move his hand, he brushed off the shadow of Bagas that kept crossing his brain.

Just five minutes later, Renata's brain again froze when she heard the sound of a car stopping in front of the house. He turned to the source of the voice and saw a familiar man get out of the car.

Why did Mr Bagas come here?

Renata is getting upset considering the incident at the restaurant earlier.

After five minutes, Bagas was already behind him making Renata wrong.

"Gapain you're here?" ask Renata ketus. If nature takes sides, she wants to avoid Bagas. However, that is not possible considering that he now lives in Bu Nurmala's house.

Bagas looked at the formless Renata painting and then smiled.

"It's Aunt Nurmala's house, and I come here often" Bagas replied casually.

Renata got up from her seat and turned her body.

"Excuse me," said Renata past Bagas' strapping body pecking beside him.

"Where are you going?" asked Bagas while looking at Renata's back away.

Renata stopped his steps and turned his body to look at the tired-looking Bagas. He should not have to be indifferent to Bagas who is not who he is, but his heart was still irritated when he saw him.

"I'm coming in, it's almost night," replied Renata flatly.

Bagas walked up to Renata and grabbed her hands.

"Next month there's a painting event in Japan, do you want to come?" ask Bagas.

Renata. Bagas' words instantly wiped away all the annoyance that almost all day settled into his chest.

"really? Can I come with you?" asked Renata to make sure, his face immediately beamed giving a positive aura.

"By, it's an event held every year. Derya and I used to take part in the race all the holidays, and next month I will take you there" said Bagas.

Renata sat in front of the canvas.

"I will not waste that golden opportunity. I should be able to become Renata, a great painter the world can know."

He finally did not sulk. Bagas let out a long sigh, relieved.

Actually Bagas did not know what reason Renata cuek on him. However, he is more sensitive to the attitude of Renata who has a high emotional level.

Bagas bent down, aligned his face with Renata's face, eroding the distance between the two. He continued to follow the girl's finger movements, and occasionally he looked at Renata's very serious face.

"Re, I want to talk to you" said Bagas, who turned the atmosphere awkward.

"Speak, sir." Renata expels nervousness when he feels the exhale of Bagas who hit his ear, he is afraid that Bagas will discuss about his mother's request.

"It's about our matchmaking. What do you think?"

For his entire life, this was the first time Renata was entangled with an arranged marriage that he did not want, if he had ever hoped for a man, now that hope seemed to drift with time.

"Maybe they're just joking. There's no way Aunt Amara's betrothed you to me. Besides we're a lot different, there's still a lot of women who are much better and prettier than me, so you take it easy, I'll talk to you."

Renata averted her gaze, avoiding Bagas' gaze.

"But what if I take it?"

Deg deg deg

Renata stared at the two eyeballs of Bagas. There was sincerity there, but Renata also saw there was a hint of hesitation from the man's face.

"Sir..meaning father?" ask Renata to make sure.

"I accepted this match. That means I accept you as my future wife." Bagas explained making Renata even more awkward.

"But I can't" Renata replied firmly.

Bagas clasped Renata's hand and knelt in front of him.

"Give me one reason why you rejected me?"

"I want to achieve my goals that have been delayed, after that I will think again. But if you want to step down please, I'm not forcing you to wait for me."

Bagas lowered his head and kissed the back of Renata's hand.

"I'll wait for you until that time comes."

Bagas' phone rang, he immediately reached into the flat object from his suit pocket and stared at the screen.

"Alexa, what's he calling me?"

Alexa, is that the name of the girl who was with Mr. Bagas this afternoon.

Renata continued his activities, while Bagas immediately received a call from Alexa who is now one of his clients.

"Hello, what's wrong?" ask Bagas.

"Sorry to interrupt, I just want to say that papa and the staff have agreed to move the other line, and I will prepare for it next month."

"All right, good luck."

Bagas disconnects his phone and returns to approach Renata, who is busy perfecting his paintings.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"What's? Renata slapped you. Insolent, just be careful when I see you, I'll chop him up," the aunt cried loudly.

His face was red after hearing Karin's story. The middle-aged woman could not even suppress her emotions and broke some neatly arranged dishes on the shelf.

Karin hugged Bibi tightly and pretended to sob.

"So I also saw him with a rich man, it's possible that he sold himself to change his destiny."

Aunty grew furious and could not stem her anger.

"Where did you meet him?" ask Aunt enthusiastically.

"In the Mall, but I don't know where she lives, which is definitely her luxury car ride with men."

Silent for a moment, suddenly Karin felt nauseous. He ran to the bathroom in the back.

The sound of Karin vomiting was heard by the aunt, with her sprightly running towards the bathroom.

"Today, are you okay?" screaming Aunt banged on the bathroom door.

Karin did not answer, he was still busy spilling his stomach to make the aunt more anxious.

"Sunday, open the door!" aunt shouted for the second time.

"Before a minute, ma'am," answered Karin.

"Why have I been so nauseous lately, do I have stomach ulcers" Karin murmured as she washed her face.

Karin shifted her body to stare at the sanitary napkin hanging on the wall from the reflection of the mirror. Instantly, his face was deathly pale given the events of the passionate dark night with Toni.

Am I not pregnant?
