Moving in the darkness of the forest, Escal quietly settles until he arrives not far from the location of the Emerlin Mines covered by high walls. The fortress was sturdy and guarded by several people who patrolled from time to time.
“Then it seems not difficult to infiltrate, but I should not be careless.”
Escal stayed in place for about fifty minutes, watching the guards patrolling past the same spot or alternating as they passed ten to fifteen minutes.
The equipment they were wearing, guessing power, and a few other things.
Luckily the guards were only patrolling starting from the top of the fortress, not up to the front or the entrance otherwise they could definitely figure out the whereabouts of Escal.
..._____...
...The system detects the threat from the top of the dark tower!...
...[.The High Human Lv. 2]...
Suddenly a system screen appeared in front of him, Escal was quite surprised to read the information the System provided.
“High Human, this will be troublesome.”
Escal muttered as he glanced in the direction that System had told him, but his eyes could only catch the empty darkness despite the slight silhouette of a man.
“I'd better go back and work out a plan!”
Escal moved back. Using his already improved Speed Up, it didn't take long for Escal to arrive home.
From the direction of Escal's view, appeared a man in all black clothes with the bottom of his face which was also covered by a black cloth.
“What did that guy just go because he knew where I was?”
Veron stared towards Escal's last place before he left, his face and stature still clearly visible in his mind.
His sharp instincts also say that he must be careful with the person, and do not take it lightly.
“I will talk about it with Max later, his arrival is clearly different from that sloppy young man earlier.”
Veron narrowed his eyes, then walked backwards fused into the darkness.
................
The night passed quickly as nothing happened. Escal woke up from his sleep as usual, and did his morning routine with enthusiasm until the sun began to appear.
Then he went downstairs for breakfast, and went back upstairs to work on something.
Sitting at his desk quietly, Escal opened the blank sheet of his Plan Book and began writing something down. Some information he got from his surveillance last night.
“It is fitting that they are not worried about guarding the entrance, it turns out that they have assigned a vicious dog to guard it.”.
Escal looks up while playing with his pencil after writing something, “.. I don't think it's just one, it's troublesome.”
Escal thought of a mysterious figure watching him from the top of the tower last night. Luckily the system gives a warning when something is threatening.
Indeed High Human cannot be underestimated, the difference of ordinary Humans and have evolved very far, even between Level 15 Human and High Human Level 1 remains difficult to win unless there is an adequate Skill.
For Escal himself, he was confident that he could still win against that High Human. But the story is different if there are more than One High Human who might come to help if his partner is desperate.
Not just a hassle, Escal guesses the percentage of success is lower than fifteen percent.
Although he was strong, Escal did not feel the upper hand just because of that. Because he knows, being proud when he gets to the top is foolish.
He needed a plan as well as a good strategy, benefiting himself in the original world as well as in the System Mission.
“More than that, where is Commander Loyd? He should have come by now.”
Escal closed the book quietly, slightly frowning when he said that because since one Week ago Loyd started teaching him, not a second was he too late.
It came early in the morning. But this time, Escal was still not informed by Liliane about the arrival of Loyd.
“Is there something?”
One of Escal's eyebrows shot up, a moment later he closed the book and kept it. Get out of the room immediately, and go downstairs.
Escal goes to the backyard, seeing Liliane learning to do punches and kicks on a simple wooden doll that some time ago made Escal by asking Loyd for help.
“What Commander Loyd has not come?” Escal asked without calling Liliane.
Of course Liliane knew right away that the question was for her and she stopped her practice immediately, then walked towards Escal's place.
“Not Sir, could something happen?”
Holding his chin as if thinking, Escal replied.
“Maybe, is it because of those rebels?”
Liliane tilted her head as she did not understand Escal's intentions. Lowering his hand, Escal stroked Liliane's head.
“You continue the training, I will go outside.” Escal's orders were immediately answered by Liliane's nod.
“Good Sir!”
That is, Escal went straight to the Royal Information Bureau to find Loyd or at least get information about Loyd's reasons for not coming to teach him as he normally would.
Looking around, Escal realized that the place was more crowded than usual. Many by the soldiers, and also the Warriors.
“I guess because of Sub Missions last night, they came here.”
Escal thought while looking around if many Warriors were in the Royal Information Bureau. As for the Soldiers, Escal thought that they had come as a royal favor.
“Ah Mr Escal, can I help you?”
Nick immediately greeted Escal, as soon as he arrived at the reception desk. Escal immediately said his goal came about the whereabouts of Commander Loyd.
“I've heard if you learned martial arts from Commander Loyd, it turns out it's true. But it looks like today he can't come,”
“Why?”
“This morning he has a meeting, and later will devise a strategy for.. you know?” Nick didn't say it right away.
It seems like he's smart enough that some people who don't know it yet, remain ignorant. But Escal, who last night had just been scouting the rebel headquarters, certainly knew this.
Escal nodded, “Emerlin Mine Conquest, I guess?”
