Chapter 54 The Gap

After eight months of searching and yet to produce, Mina's father died of a heart attack. Not yet the grief was over, Mina's mother caught up with her exactly a year when Mina went missing. The hands are getting full. He must be in charge of the company of his parents which is certainly now the company Mina and Sesil as well. Heirs reading delayed. Sesil chose to wait until his brother was found for everything to become clear. With the task getting tougher, Sesil enlists Yungi's help to take care of Mina's company and allows himself to concentrate on the company left behind by his parents. 

Along with that, the police closed the case of Mina's disappearance. The reason was too long ago, it cost a lot of energy and money. Yungi can do nothing but rely on the detective pretending to be loyal to him, conducting searches and sending news. And until that moment, there was no happy outcome. Yungi fatigue. Without the support of his wife, the child who all need attention and company aka Mina shops which is now also his responsibility. 

A landslide victory for Leo Sudarsono and it was celebrated by presenting himself before Mina. Of course Mina was very surprised. He didn't know that this man was the culprit. 

“Why did you do this to me? What's my fault with you?” Mina looked at Leo with hatred. That was all he used to do because his hands and feet were tied with handcuffs and rope after dozens of times he went berserk and nearly committed suicide.

Leo sat in a chair right in front of the bed smiling. With the position of the feet overlapping the legs and an arrogant face, the man looked at Mina in a disgusting manner.

“Your fault is rejecting me. If you had said yes then, I probably wouldn't have gone this far, ” Leo replied calmly.

“See now! This is a testament to my patience. A year and I've been estimating it. Did you know that the police have closed your case and your husband only relies on the detectives he hired. Everything's free. The cops and the detectives he hired I paid them and they won't budge. In this world, hmmm, .. who doesn't like money, right?” Leo raised his eyebrows.

“You're crazy!” Mina raised her voice, letting out her anger. 

Leo laughs. 

“You're so cute even when you're angry. I like it.” Leo clapped his hands. 

“But you're right! I'm crazy, but it's also because of you. At first, I just wanted to get you to work professionally, but since you rejected me, I was curious. Do you know I spent a lot of time, effort, and money trying to figure out about you, but it's worth fighting for. I love your mysterious aura and you've raised my spirit to love someone. I think you've touched my sentimental side and I'm powerless in front of you. Do you know I've been dreaming of you every night and every day is getting more and more unbearable. My heart won't calm down if I don't have you yet. Well, now you understand, right, where's your mistake, hmm?” Leo explained at length. As long as he explained, he had stood up several times and then paced back and forth like a lecturer who was lecturing in the classroom. 

Mina just looked at him with disdain. The expression on his face was hatred and the gaze of his eyes was filled with a killing intent aura.

“You're disgusting,” cynical Mina. 

“Now you say that. If you were married to me, you would say otherwise. Believe that! I will make the happiest woman in the world,” Leo said with confidence. He walked up to Mina and sat down nearby. Her hand extended towards Mina's face, caressing her and it made Mina even more disgusted. 

“True. Here you're married, but not in America or Thailand. I don't know! I'm weighing up now which country we're going to live in. Be calm! I won't touch you until you're mine. I'm an honorable man and you're the woman I love. Our time is still long.” Leo stood up and walked towards the exit. Then he looked.

“Sleep well because now I'm the only one you can count on. Your husband won't be able to do anything,” Leo said. He pulled the door and exited the room, leaving Mina who looked very shocked. 

Mina limp. His gaze was blank as if what he was fighting for had already reached the point of giving up. He did not realize a servant had entered his room, opening his handcuffs and ties so that he could sleep freely. He closed his eyes, but he didn't really sleep. A lot of things he thinks about and at times like that, he needs Yungi. His tears flowed and he sobbed, weeping over his fate. 

“Yun!” smirking again. Then she called out the names of her children one by one. 

That night when she was completely sound in her sleep, Mina had a dream. He met his father and mother. In his dream, his parents wore wedding clothes. They were in the middle of a vast and beautiful sea, standing on a boat holding hands while waving to him with twinkling eyes of happiness. Soon, however, the dream scene moved to a house. It was his house and there he saw Yungi hugging his children while crying. They called out to him and sounded very painful. 

Mina woke up instantly. That night he sat spinning his brain. The dream meant a lot to him. A gap that encouraged him so that he could survive. Then he thought about how he got out of there. He knew he was being watched through the camera. Some servants always make sure that Mina is treated well and they often look in one direction in the room as if they are afraid that the service they are doing is not good enough in the eyes of their employer. 

He also knew there were no guards or anyone who guarded the house because when he was always taken out by some servants to get the sun, he had never seen anyone there except the women. He could confirm that he was not in his city because the house was far above the hills surrounded by mountains and forests, leaving him isolated. In addition, the way the servant speaks also has no resemblance to the accent and dialect of the people in his city.  

After a week of observing how she was served and supervised, Mina was able to confirm that there was no way she could escape from there. The house he occupied was really far away to everywhere. Also, if he runs away, Leo will easily find him. So many CCTVs are installed outside the house and it seems not because of concern about him who runs away but because the security of his house must be ensured because around it is a forest and hills. Wild or wild animals can be a threat there. 

However, no human is perfect and Mina's storyline with Yungi is long. There was no way Mina would end up with a madman like her. Leo made a mistake and it was because of his incredible ego. 

One day, after nearly three months of cases were closed, he felt the upper hand. He wants Mina to know how much she loves him and all that he keeps in his room. He decides to take Mina back to his town. And that's where he made a mistake. The way he did the same. Making Mina unconscious then take her by using her private plane. 

I don't know how long he's been traveling. What is clear is that when Mina opened her eyes, she was already in a room around her filled with photos, starting from when she was a baby until now. And when he saw the scene, instead of the feeling of pleasure that was in his heart, he felt resentful and disgusted and therefore he immediately nausea and wanted to vomit.
