I'M Not A Special Character
Involve Yourself

"Murder mission?" Arland was stunned by the message on the smartphone screen that was in his grasp. The man's heart started to pound at the sight. Arland bit his lower lip, staring at Arsiel who was sleeping on the bed.

He began to wonder about what he was going to do or what kind of attitude he was going to show in front of Arsiel from this moment on. Since learning that Arsiel is not an ordinary girl, Arland still wants to think that Arsiel is still a good girl. But the message sent by anonymous made it a little shrinking.

"West...?!"

Without realizing it, Arsiel was awake from his sleep. The girl put on a face full of question marks when she saw Arland's disoriented expression.

"Oh, Hi! Are you awake? I brought you some snacks and a box of milk. Eat to feel a little better. I'll go back to class first." Arland tried not to stutter while talking, but his style changed without him noticing. Arland spoke formal language because he felt tense.

"You..." Arsiel's words stopped, his eyes looking straight at Arland's face which began to sweat coldly.

"Thank you, you're with me."

Arland let out a long sigh, he cleared his throat trying to neutralize his tension. Despite being relieved for a moment, his face still revealed a restless expression.

Arland closed his mouth tightly, no answer came out from his mouth. Arsiel's gaze returned to normal, unlike earlier who seemed to be interrogating criminals.

"Where do you want my phone to take you?" Arland was surprised not to play as if caught red-handed, he only realized that his hand was holding Arsiel's mobile phone. As much as possible, Arland controlled his facial expression, his hand extended back to the smartphone he was holding.

"Sorry, your phone fell. I accidentally nudged him." Arland tries to explain what happened before Arsiel woke up.

Arsiel grabbed her smartphone, she felt an awkwardness. How could he not wake up when his smartphone fell? Arsiel is a person who has an acute level of alertness even while asleep. Not just Arsiel, every agent is trained to have a high presence in any situation.

"Is this thing really falling? you didn't lie to me, did you?"

"Of course not!"

"Your expression explains everything, what do you do while I'm asleep?"

"I just went to the cafeteria and came back here, that's all. Really!"

Arsiel squinted at Arland, from the look of his face looks as if he does not believe in Arland.

"I'll go back to class first, if you're done hurrying back to your class."

Arland left without waiting for Arsiel to answer, leaving the girl alone in the UKS with all the questions still unanswered. Arsiel checked the smartphone he was still holding, on the smartphone screen displaying a message from an unknown number. Arsiel widened in surprise staring at the screen, then she muttered softly afterwards.

"Damn, how's this?" Arsiel bit his thumb nail. Now he knows why Arland's attitude has been so strange for the past few hours. Arsiel assumes that Arland quietly plugged an ear to listen to her conversation with Marchel last time.

"If you're just eavesdropping on the conversation, it shouldn't matter. He won't understand what our conversation means, but this time it's different. He also read secret messages. How am I gonna handle this?"

"There's no other way. I need to find a chance to talk to him." Arsiel ruffled her hair while putting on a matted face. Arsiel plans to settle the matter himself, but Arland makes it even more complicated.

...----------------...

While Arland was walking in the school Corridor, he accidentally met Marchel who seemed to be waiting for his arrival. Arland wanted to be nonchalant trying to get past Marchel as naturally as possible.

"Hey, you already know. Don't pretend and stop acting like an idiot!" Marchel hardened his jaw. He learns that Arland eavesdropped on his conversation when Marchel's sight accidentally found a student hiding behind a pillar.

Marchel's words stopped Arland's footsteps. He was stunned for a moment in surprise. Though Arsiel did not know it, but how could this senior directly shoot right at the target?

"Sorry, I don't understand what senior's saying." Arland flipped over, saying a few words with difficulty putting on a face of confusion.

"really? Then why are you surprised when I say it?" Marchel stared coldly with a flat face. Right now he really looks like 03 which is known as 'soul disease'.

"I just..." Arland tried hard to rack his brain, looking for a fitting and reasonable reason for him to give.

"just? Just what?!"

"I was surprised that senior called me. Usually seniors don't even respond to greetings from me. That's why I'm surprised." Arland chuckled softly. However, all his efforts were unsuccessful in Marchel's eyes. That eye can detect almost any lie, especially Arland who is still an amateur liar.

"Are you aware that you are a bad person at lying? Even though you've been trying, it's the look in your eyes that has said it all."

"So, what does senior really want to say?" Arland's countenance changed instantly. The plain and innocent face he showed a few seconds ago turned into a flat face filled with emotion.

"Finally you admit it, bajing—"

Marchel's sentence stopped before he could finish it. The cause was a girl who some time ago dealt with Arsiel. Arland's eyes followed his gaze and got Gerryn Shaytton who was walking down the corridor passageway.

"Target imports!" Marchel exclaimed in distress. His hands clenched hard until the veins were engraved on the surface of his skin.

"Is Gerryn your target?" Arland was scared, but he kept asking. Gerryn does have a bad temper, but it's not enough to get an agent involved.

"I'm sure you don't know anything about the girl yet." Marchel turned to look at Arland who was not far from him. That still unchanging murderous gaze managed to make Arland inching backwards.

"I'll make an interesting deal for you. I'll show you what kind of demon lives in that damn girl's body." Marchel smiled coldly with a face full of intent. Just this time he saw a student who felt 'foreign' to him.

"And what do you want for pay?" Arland returned that cold gaze with the same gaze. This time Arland did not call him senior because he already looked at the man in front of him with a different point of view.

"Help me to get Miss West. Ah, I mean get Arsiel. Hows it? That's a pretty interesting offer, isn't it?"
