The atmosphere of the night was a little quieter than usual. Arland drove his motorbike towards somewhere, bringing Arsiel to calm down for a moment. There are so many questions that haunt Arland, but he chooses to be quiet.
Arland knew that Arsiel was not ready for any questions. As strong and tough as any girl who hugged him at this moment must also have a weak side and need a place to lean.
"I can't say everything's gonna be okay. Nor can I say that I can understand your feelings, for I am not you and I am not experiencing as you are. I'm not in your position." Arland opened his voice amid the sobs of Arsiel's restrained cry.
"I don't know what's going on and I can't tell you to hold on." Arland was silent for a moment, making the silence hang in the atmosphere for a while.
The strong gusts of wind dampened the sound of Arsiel's increasingly weakening cry. I don't know what the girl is thinking right now.
"I can only say one thing. I'm still here. Wreak all your anger, all your discomfort in your heart, vent it all to me. As long as it makes you better, I'm ready to take it." Arland took a breath. His mind was in a mess thinking about many things. Especially seeing what happened in the living room a few minutes ago.
Arsiel was slightly jolted at hearing that, yet she was too tired to respond. The girl could only drown her head on Arland's thick jacket as she further tightened her embrace on the man's body.
No more conversations after that. They ride motorcycles splitting the night wind on the hill. Arland takes Arsiel to what was once Arland's escape zone when trouble is brewing.
They arrived on the hill with a cold wind. Arsiel was a little confused, but he did not ask and immediately got off the bike followed by Arland. From this height Arsiel can see the view of the city that looks extraordinary.
Night lights that adorn every corner of the city with various colors, as well as several amusement parks filled with glittering flickering lights can make Arsiel feel a little lighter.
"Do you like this place?" Arland gently rubbed Arsiel's hair while also looking at the beauty from up there. Arsiel nodded slowly. The girl began to paint a sincere smile on her face.
"Thank you, Arland. Sorry for bringing you into my personal matters."
"Whatchu mean? We are friends and friends at the same time. I should have done that." Arland sighed softly. He had just realized that an Arsiel could also smile as sweetly as that.
The gusts of wind made their hair move following its direction. Arsiel closed his eyes enjoying a very calming sensation. Unlike Arland, he preferred to stare at the face of the beautiful girl beside him.
After being satisfied to look at the girl's face, with the consciousness still collected his hand moved to grab Arsiel's hand. Then Arland crouched down making Arsiel give full attention to him.
"Seeing you treated that hard made my heart feel slashed. Arsiel.I will always be there when you need a backrest. You should know one more thing. I really like the smile on your face." Arland said in his soft voice. He paused for a few seconds then continued the rest of his sentence.
"Keep smiling, even though that smile is not for me. At least with that smile I can know the condition of your heart." Arland smiled warmly after the sentence was successfully spoken.
Arland raised his head in surprise to see Arsiel who was crying without a sound. As soon as possible Arland stood up and pulled Arsiel's body into his warm embrace. Slowly stroking Arsiel's back tried to calm the girl down.
"Hey, I told you to smile."
Arland touched Arsiel's chin then slightly raised it.
"It's your fault, where did you learn that sweet sentence?"
"All of those words are entirely from my feelings."
Arland guided Arsiel's hand to touch her chest. In that second, Arsiel can feel a heartbeat that is getting faster.
"You can feel it? My heart was beating faster than usual. It's all because of you, Arsiel." Arland gently kissed Arsiel's forehead, making the girl surprised for the umpteenth time.
"Basic cheated!"
"I'm sorry you feel that way." Arland held the two sides of Arsiel's cheeks, pulling the girl's face to slash the distance of her second brother.
Arsiel's eyes widened, he spontaneously closed his eyes when he saw Arland's face slowly approaching and getting closer. Arland put his lips close to Arsiel's earlobe, blew on the girl's earlobe, making her squirm a little.
"I know this is sudden and very inappropriate, but let me say something before you leave me for a long time." Arland kissed Arsiel's earlobe a little longer, making the girl's heart beat faster.
Arland raised his face, frowning his width with Arsiel's forehead, looking at the girl deeply. Arsiel could only hold her breath while waiting for the sentence that the man before her would say.
"I love you, even since our meeting at the rooftop." Arland chuckled softly. Then his lips kissed Arsiel's cheek, then switch to kiss the girl's tiny lips.
"Th.." Arsiel's sentence came to a halt when Arland's index finger was attached to her lips.
"Don't say anything. Although I know you will reject it, but I don't want to hear that rejection directly from you. It's gonna hurt a little. At least let me express my feelings without having to accept an answer. And I hope we won't stay away from each other after this." Arland was about to kiss Arsiel's lips again, but the girl actually landed her lips on Arland first.
"I...."
