I'M Not A Special Character
Back to Headquarters

The noise behind the walls made a girl curl up in a dark corner of the room without any illumination. The sound out there is loud but not clear. The little girl did not know for sure what they were talking about, but one thing she knew, was about them swearing at each other.

"Whatchu mean? And you always leave in the morning and come home late at night, and then you blame me for not preparing food? Where do you think I can get money from if you don't work?" The screams of a woman were heard accompanied by the sobs of restrained crying.

"It is your duty to provide food for the husband! What kind of wife are you?"

At the end of the sentence was a loud sound. Not long after, the woman's voice cried loudly.

The girl was again trapped in such a gripping atmosphere. Given his age which is still fairly young makes him only able to budge on the spot.

Once upon a time the little girl tried to hurt the two adults, but instead of stopping the fight they just threw a hard blow at her. Remembering the incident made her tiny body tremble violently.

The noisy atmosphere behind the wall slowly began to disappear. The little body crawled close to the door to check things out there. But unfortunately when the little girl was right in front of the door, suddenly the door was opened so tight that it was able to hit his head that did not have time to dodge.

In the dark the figure looks for a light switch to illuminate the room. After the switch succeeded in pressing his gaze caught the body of the little girl who was staring with clear water that pooled in her eye sieve.

"Don't cry in front of me! Get out of here you useless son!!"

The figure of an adult man shouted loudly towards him, his hands preparing to throw a single punch. Immediately the small body stood up to step away but a single blow first landed on his back. She could as much as possible hold back her crying voice. After the body of the little girl completely exited the door, that second also the door was instantly shut tightly.

"Mother....."

With a slow step the girl approached the woman called mother. His hands hugged his mother's neck trying to calm the woman down.

"Don't touch me!" His big hand moved to push the body of the little girl to hit the wall.

"I shouldn't have given birth to you. Go after that savage boy!! Go!!" The woman screamed loudly with tears continuing to flow.

                ******

The room lights glittered very brightly. On top of a soft white mattress, a teenage girl snapped out of her sleep. Cold sweat soaked the girl's face with her disheveled expression.

"Arsiel, are you okay?" A familiar voice spread into her ears, making the teenage girl turn to the origin of the voice. The owner of the voice was none other than Arland.

"You crying?" Arland turned his back, quickly walking towards the girl in front of him.

Arland sat on the edge of the bed, right next to Arsiel. His gaze swept over every corner of the expression plastered on the girl's face.

"What's wrong? Your face looks very pale." Arland sighed, looking at the girl beside him worriedly. Recently Arland has often found a side of Arsiel that is rarely known. Either Arland should be grateful or not for that.

"No, just a nightmare." Arsiel took a deep breath, wiping her face to calm down. The girl's eyes found Arland's half-naked body with a short towel hanging around his neck past the man's two shoulders.

Arsiel spontaneously held her breath seeing that. Arland's body is very clean and well maintained. He also did not expect that the man in front of him had a pretty good body. During this time the muscles that are formed cannot be seen because they are always covered by clothes.

"Just finished the shower?" Arsiel asked quietly and was replied with a small nod by Arland.

"I'm going straight home to get ready to go to school as you asked. Take good care of yourself there. I'm sure not everyone at the base is being nice to you. Especially after the last time."

"You mean about Marchel's plan at the Numbers meeting that night? Ah, luckily they listened to me not to report to the boss no matter what." Arsiel sighed, looking up at the sky of the room.

They ended the conversation and resumed their respective activities. Arsiel rushed to take a shower and put on the black suit he had bought last night. When they were done with all the preparations, they walked out of the hotel, separated right in the doorway.

Arsiel stands waiting for an invitation. He had already called the headquarters some time ago to pick her up at a place he had already marked in the message. Long enough the girl waited until she felt a little upset.

"Did they just ignore me for asking permission for one night?" Arsiel grunted in annoyance. He's never been treated like this before.

In the middle of Arsiel's curse that kept coming out of his mouth, a flash later a luxurious-style car that was exactly like the car that came to his school last time stopped right in front of him. The speed of the car made dust billow like a tail trailing. A middle-aged man came out from the driver's side door in slightly tangled and untidy clothes.

"Sorry for my delay. I received this assignment about ten minutes ago. I rushed as fast as I could." The middle-aged man bent his neck, giving his greetings politely.

Arsiel nodded slowly. It was clearly seen that the man in front of him did not say a piece of nonsense as an excuse to notice his messy appearance. Arsiel assumes that the man did not have time to arrange an apparition for speeding to pick her up.

The man opened the passenger door, giving Arsiel room to enter and comfort himself. After closing the car door perfectly, the man sat back in the driver's seat, taking the car on its way down the city road to the headquarters.
