Praying Together

That day the sun slowly sank in the western horizon, and the atmosphere of the pesantren calmed. Vienna has undergone several intense lessons on prayer, and now she will face a new challenge: praying together with worshippers. This was his first experience of performing the prayer correctly, according to the teachings he had learned.

Vienna joins worshippers at the pesantren mosque, where the holy verse of the Quran flows beautifully. The simple atmosphere of the mosque, with its beautiful Islamic ornaments, creates a solemn and sacred feeling in the heart of Vienna. He felt so small before God, and even respect and amazement enveloped his heart.

Ustaz Ahmad stood in front of worshippers, leading prayers. Vienna watched every movement and word carefully, trying to follow other worshippers. The melodious voice of Ustaz Ahmad filled the room as he read the verses from the Quran. Vienna felt how special this moment was, that she could now follow the prayer together properly.

During the prayer, Vienna felt her feelings flow in her prayer. He contemplated every word in the prayers taught by Ustaz Ahmad. He felt like he was talking directly to God, and His presence was so strong in his heart.

When it came to prostration, Vienna felt her heart permeate the indescribable closeness to God. He felt completely prostrated to the Creator, gave up all his doubts, and surrendered himself completely to Him. Tears flowed down her cheeks, not out of sadness, but out of a sense of hilarity and unspeakable closeness.

After the prayer was over, Vienna remained seated inside the mosque, feeling peaceful and full of gratitude. Other pilgrims also sit in prayer and dhikr. Vienna approached Ustaz Ahmad who was sitting next to him.

"Ustaz, I feel so different after this joint prayer" he said in a soft voice.

Ustaz Ahmad smiled. "It was one of the wonders of the prayer, Vienna. As we reflect on the words we speak and focus on our relationship with God, we feel His closeness is so strong. It's a rare and beautiful moment."

Vienna nodded. "I feel like I'm really talking to God, Ustaz. It was a very powerful experience."

Ustaz Ahmad gave a gentle exhortation, "Remember, every prayer is an opportunity to speak to Him and strengthen our spiritual bond. Don't let doubt and fear get in your way. Continue to practice and draw near to God."

Vienna thanked Ustaz Ahmad and again sat in prayer and dhikr with the worshipers. He felt that his spiritual journey had taken a big step, and he was ready to continue with even more diligence.

That night, Vienna returned to her room in the boarding house with a peaceful heart. The serene natural atmosphere around the pesantren, the melodious sound of the holy Quran, and the deep experience of prayer together have given him such a strong closeness to Allah. He felt lucky to have this opportunity to deepen his beliefs and live his religion properly.

Every day in the pesantren, Vienna and Ustaz Ahmad sit together to talk about spirituality, religion, and the meaning of life. They often gather under a large tree in the courtyard of the pesantren, in a shady and quiet place. The sound of rustling leaves and the sound of birds made their conversation even more profound.

That morning, Vienna sat cross-legged under a tree watching the birds chirping over the tree branches. Ustaz Ahmad sat next to him, his wise face filled with a sense of calmness. They had grown accustomed to their deep spiritual discussions, and Vienna had always felt inspired by the words of Ustaz Ahmad.

"Why, Ustaz, is religion so important in our lives?" ask Vienna with interest.

Ustaz Ahmad nodded and began to reply, "Religion gives us guidance on the right way of life. This is our grip on facing various challenges in life. Religion teaches us morality, ethics, and good manners."

Vienna listened diligently. "But how can religion help us get through difficult times in life?"

Ustaz Ahmad smiled. "Tough times are a test in our lives, Vienna. Religion teaches us to be patient and trust God in all things. When we feel hopeless or down, religion gives us hope and strength to rise."

Vienna thought for a moment. "Are there stories in religion or real life that can serve as examples of how religion helps a person in difficult times?"

Vienna smiled at the story. "That's a motivating story. What about real life, Ustaz?"

Ustaz Ahmad thought for a moment before replying, "I once met a man whose life was full of difficulties. He was poor, did not have much wealth, and was often ill. But he is a man of patience and sincerity in worship. He was always grateful for what he had, even if it wasn't much. Its simplicity and sincerity make it a role model for many around him."

Vienna listened attentively. "That's an amazing story, Ustaz. I want to be like that person, full of sincerity and patience in life."

Ustaz Ahmad smiled and rubbed the head of Vienna gently. "That's a good determination, Vienna. Always remember that the spiritual journey is about becoming a better person, more patient, and wiser in the face of all the challenges God has given us."

They continue their spiritual discussions, talking about religious values, sincerity of heart, and the importance of understanding the meaning of life. Under the shady tree, they felt a deepening closeness to God, and Vienna felt that her spiritual journey was becoming more blessed with each passing day.

Vienna has spent precious few weeks in a quiet and meaningful pesantren. Every day, he learned about his religion, prayers, and how to draw closer to Allah with Ustaz Ahmad. His spiritual journey has undergone significant development, and he feels closer to God than ever before.

Today was his last day in the pesantren, and Vienna felt a mix of sadness and gratitude. He had grown spiritually during this short time, and all thanks to the guidance and teaching of Ustaz Ahmad. They sat together under a large tree that bore witness to many of their spiritual discussions.

"Thank you, Ustaz Ahmad," Vienna said in a soft voice. "I can't express how valuable this experience is to me. You have opened my eyes and heart to religion and the meaning of life."

Ustaz Ahmad smiled gently. "You've done a great job, Vienna. You have received the teaching diligently and sincerely. Remember, the spiritual journey is about consistency and sincerity in living the religion."

Vienna felt a deep sense of gratitude in her heart. He knew that he had found something very valuable in his life. "I will bring everything I learned in this pesantren into my daily life. I want to be a better person and draw closer to God sincerely."

Ustaz Ahmad nodded. "That's a good determination, Vienna. Keep learning, practicing, and praying. May God always bless your steps."

After a grateful farewell, Vienna left the pesantren with a confident heart. He felt that he had found the answer to the emptiness in his heart that he had once been unable to define. Now, he has a deeper understanding of religion and the meaning of life, and he is ready to face the world with a greater sense of courage.

When he returned to his home, the surrounding natural atmosphere seemed different. The park that once seemed dead now feels alive with all colors and beauty. The trees that once withered now looked fresh and shady. Vienna felt that her life had changed as well. He was no longer trapped in an empty worldly life. Now, he had a greater purpose and a deeper meaning.

Vienna began to practice daily prayer, with full awareness and gratitude. He also began to learn more about his religion, read the Quran, and seek religious knowledge from various sources. His friends who used to only talk about worldly things began to see a change in him.

One day, as they gathered in the fancy cafe like before, Vienna started a different conversation. "Friends," he said excitedly, "Have we never talked about deeper things in life? About the meaning of our lives and why do we exist in this world?"

His friends looked at him in surprise, but this time there was no laughter or ridicule. They felt there was something different in the way Vienna spoke, there was a sense of depth they felt.

As time went on, some of Vienna's friends became interested in getting to know more about their religion. They followed some religious discussions and even tried to learn prayer from Vienna. The changes in Viennese life have affected them positively.

Vienna feels grateful for her spiritual journey that has led her to a deeper understanding of religion and the meaning of life. He knew that this journey would continue for the rest of his life, and he was ready to face it with gratitude and sincerity.
