CHAPTERS 10. Waiting for you Always

"You gave him some attention when he got shot. Did you start to love Viara?" Ask the Citra doctor

"Dad's a doctor, but I was afraid to tell her how I felt. I was afraid she would reject my love because I was a teenager and we were 8 years different. I don't want to feel heartbreak at such a small age" Viara explained

The bell home has been berbuyi, all the school residents flocked out of class and went home to each other

"Hey Viara, look at your brother's army there" Tasya said pointing to the front of the gate. Viara followed Tasya's gaze and smiled at Andra who was across the street staring at her school

Once Viara is ready, Andra again runs his bike around the village accompanied by the little girl he missed. Along the way Andra and Viara recounted their experiences and occasionally joked around so a carefree laugh could be heard from both of them

"These are the times I've been waiting for, laughing with you without a hitch. I want us to be like this forever bang, I want to be happy with you" Viara stared at Andra's reflection from the rearview mirror

"She also loves my brother. All this time adek hide this feeling because adek fear brother will reject adek" said Viara softly

"I hope that we will be reunited someday, I will only love you always, for to me you are my first love after my father and my last love, if I leave the world someday, he said, so the last face I want to see is just your face" Viara's mind leaned against Andra's chest while smiling

"By the way, what time are you back tomorrow?"

"At 6am deck. Now we go home yuk, surely grandma has been waiting adek at home." Viara smiled and moved her legs beside Andra who was clasping her hands tightly. Viara smiled happily because for the first time her hand was grasped by Andra after all this time she had only admired him in silence.

"Walaikumsalam dear brother" said Viara embraced Andra with a smile, while grandmother lula and mbak lena gawking in disbelief with Viara's words. After Andra left, Lula's grandmother and Lena immediately approached Viara who was looking at Andra who had been away

"What did you say? Dear brother?" Ask Lena

"Hehe Iyah mbak, is it wrong yah?"

"It's not wrong dear, grandma is just afraid your words disturb the army" said grandma lula

"No grandma, it won't bother the army, because Viara is already the same old soldier"

"WHAT!!" Grandmother lula's mouth and mbak lena gaped back, while Viara just smiled and walked leaving the two who were silent at the spot

In her room, Viara jumped happily remembering Andra's confession earlier. Andra's face and smile always reflected in her mind making Viara unable to close her eyes

"I have to go to bed soon, so that I don't miss parting with Andra's bang tomorrow" Viara hugged her bolster pillow and slowly closed her eyes.

The next morning, Viara was surprised to see the clock on the wall at 6 and five minutes. Viara immediately grabbed her hijab and immediately ran out. With all her might, Viara ran towards Koramil even though her chest felt tight from feeling short of breath again. After arriving at the koramil, Viara only saw Tasya and her father who were talking to some Babinsa

"Tasya, where are the other soldiers?" Tasya Viara with a gasp of breath

"They left 8 minutes ago, turn back" Tasya said. Viara turned around and was stunned to see the trucks of the soldiers had already passed and were almost nowhere to be seen at the end of the road. Her tears held her chest tight. Viara cries for not being able to meet her heart for the last time

"No doctor, I didn't even have time to ask for her phone number. I also don't know where the place is after leaving my village" Viara said, wiping away her tears
