The Past of the Star Witch
[Before Hitomi Reiko returned to the Seiryuu empire.].
After Zeeta addresses the villagers of Lazuli, Zeeta and Tellaura go to the monument of Lapis village, along with Hitomi Reiko and his Yggdrasil Spirit, Xennaville, who is still losing consciousness.
When the two arrived, a sour face was given Tellaura. “I didn't think .. a peaceful village like Lapis could be destroyed like this...,” murmured, while looking at the lists of names of the victims, which numbered in the hundreds.
“The only survivor, Brother Azure, is now my adoptive sister and becomes the princess of the kingdom,” Zeeta replied.

I met Hitomi when she was a baby. You need to know, Hitomi was not originally a member of the imperial family. He was born in one of the many slums there. When she was a baby, I felt something big—like something was going to happen that involved her, therefore I kept an eye on her.

However, the emperor, Zero Akihiro, has big ambitions to occupy the world and make the whole Earth to glorify the Dragon. Of course, I'm the one overseeing the country, knowing why.
Ever since he was a child, Zero has always had the ambition to change his empire. He was reluctant to continue being a part of the country that the world had never seen, never even connected to another country. Good for trading, interacting, and others.
One day, he meets a Dragon who has lived for thousands of years, Carlou. Since then, Zero has had a new vision and mission to realize his ambitions. After his ambition realized— that is to change his empire, since the time he was crowned Emperor, now he is the one who must keep his promise to the Dragon— to make the world submit again to the Dragon.
Slowly but surely, this country gathered many Dragons due to the influence of the emperor. That is how the emperor earned the nickname Zero, the Dragon Conqueror.
This country, famous for their ability to control the power within. It can also be called Ki. The Dragon who had believed in Zero, Carlou, saw the great opportunity of the humans, to be used as a pawn to realize his dream.
Those humans can control the energy that is in his body, to be used as a power outside of his physical. Lasers, punches, or even treatments. If a Dragon gives its power to a human who can control Ki, then there is a possibility that human can use the power of his Dragon.
They can become stronger, more powerful, and of course, more feared.
Before his first attempt was carried out, Zero heard rumors from his subjects that he was a cruel emperor and had no conscience, although it was the fact that he had managed to change his empire for the greater. In fact, there was a protest in front of the palace.
To ascertain the truth of what had happened, he sent people to investigate. And from there, he learned that in the slums, there was a little boy who was very famous about his certainty in divination.
At first Zero did not take the results of the investigation seriously and instead considered his man to have made it up, but Carlou said that it was not something that should be considered trivial. It was a sign, of the many people in this empire, that could be cleared was just that little boy.
From the results of the investigation, the little boy predicted that Zero would do cruel things to his own son, and would later tear down his empire because of this deed.
Despite having a warning from Carlou, Zero did not care about it, and still wanted to realize what was before the eyes of the military force that could possess the Dragon's abilities.
But, at the same time, unexpectedly by Zero and Carlou, the Empress who became the Emperor's half-hearted, put great trust and pleasure on the Girl, even inviting her personally to the palace.
At that time, there was a conspiracy between Zero, Carlou, and The Girl—Hitomi. With the silat of his tongue, Hitomi managed to persuade the Empress to allow him to face the Emperor. And this is the conspiracy agreed upon by the three....

At the suggestion of the Empress, Hitomi was appointed Arata's younger sister, and their relationship grew closer, until the time came for Hitomi's prediction of Zero's actions on her son....
In order to train Arata, Zero always takes his son to a place unknown to his wife. However, what he does is make his son the subject of his and Carlou's plans.

Arata is accompanying Hitomi on a lake within the huge palace grounds. Although the contents of his head were quite different to a child his age thanks to his growing environment, he was still a child.

“What?” asked Arata, who was sleeping casually on a tree trunk near the lake.

As Arata lowered his head to take a look, he was shocked when he saw above his sister's palms there was a ball of clear water.
