As soon as Romeo was out of sight, Kirana no longer held back the tears that had pushed out of her eyes. His chest was tight with that farewell. He did not care whether the taxi driver sitting in front of him looked at him or not. Right now he just wants to cry, then that's what he'll do.
Their relationship is not forever, he knows it. Only a short romance to enjoy during the holidays. They just had fun over the weekend. They do so on the basis of mutual agreement between two adults who are aware of what they decide. But that doesn't mean that when it's all over he doesn't feel the pain and hurt in his heart. To think that the breakup might forever hurt her.
In life, he knew that he could not get everything he wanted. Sometimes he only gets one of three things he wants. Kirana had gotten the one thing she wanted the most, having sex in her fertile days. Wanting other things as well for him to have, seemed excessive for him.
Romeo is single, Kirana has no boyfriend. If they are interested in each other they can continue their relationship to a further level. But the man must have come from a distant country. Kirana had no interest in leaving her country for a man and changing citizenship as Ratri had done. He was unwilling to change his identity because he wanted to stay where he lived and remain who he was now.
He has turned down Romeo's business card. The only clue that could help him find her one day. If only he did not close his eyes and immediately rejected it, he could have been tempted to take the card and keep it. He wouldn't lie, he was very curious to know who the man really was, where he came from, what he did in his daily life, how many brothers he had, who he was, where he grew up, everything.
He also refused to stay longer. Although she wanted it so much, she realized that sooner or later their relationship had to end. Why would their meeting need to be extended again if they had no future together?
Romeo did not help him at all. Their farewell could have been well served without drama had he adhered to their initial agreement. He had already woken up with a happy face about to return home soon to make it easier as they said goodbye to each other. It was not easy to smile like that when his heart screamed not wanting to leave.
The man instead invited her to go back to bed, something she had a hard time refusing. I don't know what's in the man's hands so he's easily lost on his request. I don't know what was contained on her lips so she had trouble resisting the urge to return her kiss.
As if sleeping together for the last time was still not enough for him, he teased her, touched her, coaxed her, begged her, kissed her all out so that she would stay a while longer with him. He didn't do it in the room, he did it in front of the elevator. Someone could come in at any time and catch their wet doing that but not. Romeo could freely carry out his actions without anyone coming to interrupt them.
It was fortunate that he did not continue his seduction inside the elevator, or that he would give up. She was just an ordinary woman, sure enough, she was not a numb woman who could not be persuaded by such an endless temptation.
Their hearts were both beating so fast, afraid of facing a future without each other. She almost cried as the man begged her with a trembling voice, for her to be willing to stay longer with him. But with the remaining courage still present, he braced himself and let go of his embrace. He had to leave immediately before he changed his mind.
What he did was the best way. Romeo and himself cannot be together forever. Their story was for three nights only. Then why does she keep crying? Why can't she stop shedding tears? Why does his chest feel tight and painful? Did they become so close because they had been intimate? Could it be that someday he could forget about it and move on without thinking about the man again? What about his Rome, could it be that he would also forget about it?
Looking at the airport entrance gate, Kirana was not surprised she was still crying. He pulled out a piece of tissue from inside his bag of straps. After believing her face was dry enough and that her tears could be held back from coming out again, she spoke to the driver and paid the fare. He got out of the taxi as the driver pulled his suitcase out of the trunk.
Many times he wiped away the tears with the tissue in his hand, and many times the tears filled his eyes again. As she walked inside the departure terminal, as she queued for check-in, as she entered several souvenir shops to buy souvenirs, as she queued in the immigration section, she said, as he waited in the waiting room, until he got into the plane, his tears did not stop wetting his face.
Sitting one row with two strangers on her left side, Kirana was relieved none of them tried to get her to talk. When the plane had taken off and the seatbelt sign lights had been extinguished, one of those sitting at the very end stood up. He took out a backpack from the cabin baggage and took a laptop from it. With the laptop, they were busy discussing their presentation.
Kirana was relieved once again that she was sitting by the window. He could cry without anyone seeing. Wanting to for a moment forget about Romeo and their weekend together, she closed her eyes, trying to sleep.
As soon as the plane landed smoothly at the city's airport, Kirana was hungry. So, she had lunch at one of the restaurants after picking up her suitcase from the baggage claimant. Despite his lack of appetite, he forced himself to finish the food he had bought. Some of the women looked towards him and whispered to the person nearby. They must have seen tears on her cheeks. This was the reason she was unwilling to cry in public, but she could not help herself.
As soon as he got home and had closed the front door, he leaned against the door and cried. Now there's nothing more to worry about. Because no one will see it is below its weakest point. Nor would anyone look in wonder at his wet eyes and red face. He doesn't understand. Why does this feel so painful? What the hell is going on with him? Where is the strong woman who is always strong to face everything?
Sitting on the edge of her bed, Kirana stared at her suitcase. His view then turned on the package containing souvenirs. He sighed softly. One of the small packages was removed from the package. Out of the room, he placed the package on the table. In the kitchen, he filled the glass with drinking water and finished it. Before going to bed, there are things to do.
