On the way home, the atmosphere was very quiet, only a sign light was heard when the car turned. They were like two strangers busy with their own thoughts. Pandu who still holds anger at his wife, and Nayla who keeps thinking about her tant. All the memories of what he witnessed included the arrest of Nancy and Laura a few minutes ago. Even Nayla had several times difficulty breathing.
His eyes closed, ignoring the Guide who remained focused on driving.
Though Pandu had planned and warned that Nayla did not have to meet with Aji. But unfortunately, Nayla actually contacted Nancy and asked her to tell her where the aunt was.
Without a word, Pandu removed the seatbelt upon arrival in the apartment parking area. The man got out of the car, and immediately walked around and opened the door for his wife.
"Get out" said Pandu flat.
Once he got out of the car, Pandu again grabbed Nayla's hand and took her into the house.
There was only Risa in the middle room. The woman stared in wonder at her son's face which implied anger was forcibly pulling his daughter-in-law's hand.
"Relier? what's the matter?"
Still in control of anger, Pandu did not at all love the question of the mother who highlighted full of wonder. He continued to step up to pull Nayla's hand and led her into the study.
In his study, he did not immediately make a sound but looked inside his wife who had launched crystal grains from eye fertilizers.
Silence, there was only the sound of clockwork hanging on the wall.
"Can you tell me where you know Nancy's whereabouts?" Pandu said after being silent for almost two minutes.
Nayla flinched, looking down at their pair of shoes facing each other.
"What is more important than your own safety?"
Nayla took a slow breath. Somehow hearing the aunt called, the pain again made Nayla bite the lower lip. Nayla was really sorry for Nancy's fate that would end up in prison.
"I even desperately protected you for worrying about your safety. But what are you doing? voluntarily you draw near to the wolf's mouth and make yourself a bait"
Silence, Nayla is still silent.
"Don't want to explain where you got the information about Nancy and Laura?" Repeated Pandu with a full highlight staring at the wife, while both hands he hid behind his pocket.
"I'm going to El first"
"He's taking a nap" Pandu said. "Sit we talk"
Hearing the words we speak, Nayla's heart immediately revolted. The typical fast food visitor is not even able to reduce his nervousness. The feeling of fear and anxiety returned in the same way as the first time they met.
"You didn't hear me Nayla? ask Pandu while Nayla is still standing. "You know what we mean, right?" he still remained in a cold tone. "Sit we talk"
Reluctant, Nayla pulled the chair in front of her. They sat facing each other at the work table.
"Now tell me what drove you to meet your meeting"
"I just don't want Nancy's aunt to suffer and be in jail" she replied without hesitation.
"Then, does he think about your suffering?"
Nayla chose not to respond immediately, she knew what answer she had to give, only she did not dare to make her voice.
"Can't answer?"
"I'm sorry" he said with a glance falling onto his pair of hands that were clinging to each other on his lap.
"That's not what I want to hear right now"
Nayla took a slow breath. I don't want this conversation at all.
"What would happen if I wasn't there?" continue Pandu. "In addition to bringing your aunt and cousin, what if Aji also took you away with her by force?"
Silent, Nayla mesih lowered her gaze.
"You're thinking of an ignorant interview, but ignoring your safety and your own child's obvious need for you"
Hearing the words of Pandu, immediately hit by guilt attacked him. He felt stupid and realized it too late.
"I'm sorry to ignore mas and Kellen" Sesal Nayla without looking at Pandu.
Pandu's words were laced with innuendo, making Nayla finally gather courage and raised her gaze to look at him.
"It's not just me talking to Nayla, it's us, me and you. So say what you want to say to defend yourself, or at least justify your actions"
"If I asked, would I answer?"
Pandu raised next to his eyebrows, giving a pause for himself before making a sound.
"Ask!" Flat reply.
Nayla took a deep breath. Surprisingly, the woman was actually ambushed gerogi mixed with fear. He only knew that the face of the husband was so scary at this time.
"Have you forgotten what you wanted to ask? or scared, deg-degan?"
Pandu's speech made Nayla hooked and finally came out also a sentence.
"Can't you forgive Aunt Nancy?"
Pandu was silent returning the gaze of the woman he loved so much with his lips tightly clenched. His expression was equally illegible. The fear that had lodged in Nayla suddenly disappeared. Maybe because of the accumulation of sadness, disappointment mixed with guilt that fused so thick.
One second, two seconds, when in the third second, Pandu smiled as if he underestimated his wife's question. While Nayla was stunned by the new expression of Pandu's face.
"Looks, you forgot something Nay"
Nayla cringing.
"We both know how and what we've been waiting to do. Even you know very well, other than that woman selling you, she also treated you very cruelly, right?"
Nayla's head nodded.
"Seizing the inheritance rights of your parents, he also made you work and robbed you of your salary"
Nayla struggled to swallow her saliva when she heard Pandu's sentence.
"I can forgive him, but I can't release him to be free from punishment"
"Then our conversation is over" said Nayla held back her emotions and left Pandu who briefly tightened her jaw as Nayla looked at her.
He rushed out of the study and walked towards the room. Pandu stared at Nayla's back and disappeared behind the door.
Arriving in the room, it appears the boy was sleeping on top of the baby box.
Closer, Nayla bent over and then kissed her forehead.
"Sorry dear mommy is already selfish. Just thinking about aunt mommy, not thinking about you and your daddy" said Nayla as a concubine as possible.
For a few minutes, Nayla held on to her position. Looked at the face of the son. A flash of Pandu's speech was ringing in his ear.
"What if Aji takes you away forcibly"
Nayla shook her head and confirmed the husband's words.
"Mommy is stupid"
He sat down while continuing to look at the innocent face of his sleeping son.
Busy with the daydreams, Nayla did not realize that Pandu was standing next to her.
"Don't think my anger will just subside" said Pandu. Nayla turned her face to bring her neutrals together.
"You're angry, I'll be even more angry" Pandu said.
Not intending to respond to her husband's remarks, Nayla quickly stepped into the bathroom and locked the door from the inside.
There was a hint of disappointment and anger that was still lodged in his mind actually, but the woman did not know how to vent that feeling. Disappointed because the husband does not understand his feelings.
