The Macau Love Story

The Macau Love Story
Hermawan Condition

Honestly, I keep a lot of questions in my mind, but seeing how the look on the face of mas Pandu who looked very nervous and panicked, it looks like my question will be swallowed raw.

I guessed what kind of thing that has made Pandu mas this sweet. It is impossible for something to happen to our mother or child considering that the road that mas Pandu went through at this time is not the way home, or could the mother be rushed to the hospital? ah whatever it is, I dare not ask my great man who is now focusing on driving.

When I glanced back at him, Pandu's gaze was completely straight forward with a flat and expressionless face. His elbow rests on the side of the window, while his palm covers the nose down, the other hand landing on the steering wheel to control his car.

Has Pandu found the whereabouts of Mr Hermawan?

But why does it look so anxious and seem rushed.

Or maybe something happened to her?

My brain kept going around in circles thinking about my own questions. Sighing heavily, I moved to stack my elbows on the left side of the window, exactly the same as the position of the mas Pandu. It's just that my palm I use to support the side of the head.

"Slow down, mas"

There was no answer from Pandu, and I understood. I should be able to refrain from taking out a series of sentences or questions, however, what comes out of my mouth, will not get a response from him.

Slowly, the car entered an apartment with a building that seemed old enough, visible from the paint that was worn out.

The apartment only has five floors and it seems like each unit is very small.

"We go down dear" said mas Pandu while releasing the setbelt.

I also just think that although still a little confused by the intention of mas Pandu brought me here, a very foreign place for me because during this time I never went out except to the Pandu mas office and mall not far from our home.

As soon as we got out of the car, mas Pandu immediately took my hand and then ran a little to direct the foot to the building with the symbol F.

Because this apartment only has five floors, there is no elevator to go to the floor that we will go to. With a step in, Mas Pandu took me up the stairs to the third floor.

My breath was really wheezing, and my stitches in my stomach were a little painful. Looks like mas Pandu forgot that I just gave birth to his child for a month.

"Slow-pun mas, my stitches hurt"

Mas Pandu stopped his steps as soon as he heard my words, his face turned to me and his gaze immediately fell onto my stomach.

"Sorry" he said briefly, then again stepped this time his steps were not rushed like earlier.

Just as we reached the third floor, my ears caught a noise like a fistfight. Mas Pandu directly ran towards the source of the voice and that second also my pair of eyes looked at the middle-aged man who looked off guard with a bruised face and drained the red liquid from the corner of his lips.

"Dad" lirih mas Pandu.

I was shocked to see my father being beaten by two men and almost fainted. For whatever reason they beat him, Pandu quickly stopped the man.

"Stop!" screech while holding the hand of the man who was about to reach the body of the father who was lying weakly on the tile floor.

"What are you guys doing huh?" tanya mas Pandu with red eyes.

Mas Pandu stood before them in a rage that I believed had peaked at the very top level. In that instant he threw a punch at one of the men, the other man I saw was shocked.

"Master Pandu?" said staggered.

While I do not care about the Pandu mas who are beating the two men in turn. My focus has now shifted to a father who is helpless but still conscious.

"Why did you beat him?"

"D-he did not pay the rent of the apartment s-for two months lord"

"But you don't have to beat him, do you?" snapped mas Pandu with increasing anger.

"We have asked him carefully, sir, he always said he would pay but until now has not been paid"

"How much is the rent?"

"Eight thousand Mop $8000 master"

I could not answer, I saw my father close his eyes. In that instant I also shouted to Pandu mas.

"Father is more important mas" I said slightly raised the tone of voice.

I saw the hand of the Pandu mas who was clutching the shirt crate of one of the men pushed it hard until the man fell to the floor.

"We have to take Dad to the hospital" I continued after mas Pandu kneeled.

"You gave them ten thousand Nay dollars"

I immediately opened my bag and grabbed the money in the wallet according to the amount that mas Pandu said, then handed over the money without saying anything. After that, I set my feet behind the Pandu mas who had carried my father behind my back down the stairs.

Upon our arrival at the hospital, we were told to wait outside while the doctor and nurse checked on my father.

I sat beside the Pandu mas whose elbows rested on the thighs with both hands fused together.

My hand was coiled around the arm of the Pandu mas, then placed my forehead on his shoulder.

I responded with body language, shaking.

"Call him and tell him you're in the hospital"

Hearing the orders of mas Pandu, I kept my forehead off his shoulders to bring our netra together.

"Now?" I doubt a little. "Wouldn't it be later after the doctor examined her, afraid she'd be in shock?"

"Now it's okay" replied mas Pandu while rubbing the back of my hand.

I was forced to untangle my circular hand on her right arm because I had to call Delita.

"Hello brother?"

"Del, you go to University Hospital now"

"What's up, brother"

"Father in the hospital"

"Dad!" delita was confused.

"I mean Mr. Hermawan, your papah"

"Who's in the hospital? wh why? what happened to him?"

"You come here, we'll tell you everything"

"Yes, brother, I'll be there soon"

"You be careful"

After my words were confirmed by Delita, I immediately disconnected my call.

"Have you?" ask mas Pandu.

"It's" I said while keeping my phone in my bag.

I again wrapped my hands in the arms of Pandu.

Long enough we waited, netraku saw Delita who was running down the hospital corridor.

Pandu and I stood up when Delita was in front of us.

"What about brother?" the question with the black bead moved towards the Pandu mas then to me.

"It's still in doctor Del's office" replied mas Pandu.

"Father" he quietly watered with tears that had broken. Mas Pandu immediately brought his sister into his arms.

"Father must be fine"

"What happened brother?"

Before I answered, I heard heavy breathing from him. "Someone beat him" he said, wiping Delita's back gently.

"Timkei a?"

Delita answered using the language cantonese. Wh why? that's meaning.

"Sit down" mas Pandu ordered after breaking his embrace.

Mas Pandu also began to tell the incident complete with the reason they beat father.

After about ten minutes, someone suddenly opened the emergency room door.

"How is our fathers condition?" tanya mas Pandu uses English, which I know more or less means asking about the condition of his father.

"Still very weak" replied the doctor. I honestly don't understand what that means. "We will do a ct-scan and x-ray to find out if there are internal injuries or not"

From the sentence seems to be done ronsen or x ray to diagnose the condition in his body.

"Can we see?"

"Of course" he said was friendly complete with a smile.

We also entered my father's ward.

His condition was really concerning, in which case somehow part of my mind blamed mas Pandu. If only he had not thrown him out when my father visited the house, and told him to stay in one of Mas Pandu's apartment units, it probably wouldn't be like this.
