The Macau Love Story

The Macau Love Story
Remembering handkerchiefs

Sitting in a restaurant, I was stunned to stare at the Pandu mas from a distance who was talking to one of the managers at his restaurant.

Not long after that, came a waitres deliver some food menu. She smiled kindly at me, as she placed it on the table, and I returned her smile while nodding slowly.

Hong Kong breakfast menu that is no stranger to me.

Tea that must be there to accompany breakfast at once to warm up in the winter like this, there are various dim sum menus, rice teams, there are also several displays of bread.

While waiting for Pandu mas here, I poured his favorite kombucha tea. I don't know why this tea is called kombucha tea. All I know is that Pandu loves this tea.

Just when my hand was outstretched about to reach for a food called ngau yuk, mas Pandu came to me with a gaze fixed on my netra.

"What's wrong?" my question was along with the hand of the Pandu mas who pulled a chair, and directly sat on it.

There was no answer, I tried to vent to return his gaze, but for just a moment, I really could not bear to see him where my mood was upset with him. I turned my eyes to the food I was eating.

"Why?" ask me again when he's still tight-lipped, and look at me.

"I should have asked you why" he said and sipped the still hot tea in his cup. "Will you come back to Macau?"

"No" I answered, glancing at him with my eyes.

One eyebrow of Pandu mas raised. "Why?" ask her again as if not believe in my quick response, "So you are so insistent to want to come" he said this time while steeping the rice team.

I took a deep breath before venturing to look at my husband. "I insist also free, surely mas will not invite me, right?"

Mas Pandu was silent, and I did not know what silence meant. She was enjoying the food she was eating, without thinking about my feelings. Unconsciously my jaw hardened close my teeth holding a growl at him.

If only I could, I would've nagged this guy all out, but honey, my guts aren't that big.

"Tonight we cook steambot yes, I have asked for the ingredients from here and the season, later there will be people who drive home.

"Steambot" I cringed.

Mas Pandu nodded while continuing to chew.

"But I don't want to eat that anymore"

Now replace him who frowns "Why?" tanyanya slow.

I nodded and didn't want to look at him.

"You're hard to compromise, it's also hard to express what's in your head"

I was silent, not intending to say his words.

"You're hard to make yourself, yourself, wronged by others"

This time, Pandu's speech made me raise my head.

Earlier when walking to here, in addition to discussing about mothers who like to knit various hand crafts from knitting cloth, we also had time to discuss the return of Pandu mas to Macau, he said, and I still insist on going with him. I don't know why I want to go there, even though only five minutes were at the Pandu mas house in Macau, but my desire was, as if underestimated by the Pandu mas.

"But not now, is it?" persuade him while holding my hand on my lap.

"Why?"

"I told you I'd set up Clara, ho mou! he said with a very firm tone.

"Finish your meal, after this we go to the market looking for knitting yarn" he said then sipped tea "Mom said he wanted to make a handkerchief" he added, then leaned back on the back of the chair, with one hand ruffled waist.

"Sweep hand?" I asked with my eyebrows linked together.

"Hm"

Speaking of handkerchiefs, I remember Pipo, where he is now, whether he remembers me, or he has forgotten and even married. If only I could, meet me with God, Even though when I met him he was married, it didn't matter to me anyway, because I just wanted to see him. But that's impossible, he's in Indenesia, while I'm far away in Hong Kong.

Inflated my mouth, while breathing in resignation, with my lips tightly clenched, and my body immediately shook in shock when I heard the call from Mas Pandu.

"Yes-yah mas?"

"Think what?"

"Mou" I replied in Cantonese, and mas Pandu spoke in this language as well.

"Mou lam kem to ye"

"Hmm" I answered briefly. made him shake his head.

Seriate.

Mou: None
