In the morning, I was as active as I was when I lived in Clara's apartment. The difference is that I am now a wife, and now live in my husband's apartment.
As I waited for the soup I was cooking, my mind suddenly went haywire as I remembered the gentle touches from it last night. I didn't even realize when the soup I made was boiling. So out of focus, my arm suddenly touched the hot pot, making it leave a fairly wide reddish trail.
"Why?" the question was when I was flushing my arm under the running water coming from the faucet.
My reflexes are shaking. As I scanned his face, his gaze fell on my arm that had touched the hot pot.
"why?" re-tanyanya with sharp eyes. Maybe he heard my screech when my arm just touched a hot object. And he quickly approached me.
"Not why"
"Sit down!" his orders made my heart explode
"But I'm cooking"
"I said sit Nayla"
I saw Pandu mas at a glance, then obeyed his orders without saying anything. After she turned off the stove, she caught up with me sitting in the dining room. Suddenly Mas Pandu grabbed my hand and watched it. "This why?" tanyanya looked at me still with a sharp highlight. "What's the heat hit?"
Snorting slowly, mas Pandu who was sitting opposite me, now moved up when I remained silent.
"Sit's quiet here" he said coldly.
Not long after, the man returned with a small tube, like an ointment.
"It's just a little wound, I'm fine" I said as Pandu sat down, and he didn't respond.
His hands were busy applying mint-flavored ointment on my arm that was hit by a hot object.
"Think what?" he asked, with an expression I did not know because he lowered his head while continuing to flatten the ointment.
When I did not answer, his head was raised, I quickly lowered my head and dropped my eyes on my arm. Somehow his actions made me feel wrong, and reminded me of someone who was so considerate when I was a kid.
"Is there another wound?"
"Nothing" I replied awkwardly. After that I faintly heard her long breath
"Next time be careful!"
I nodded in response to his words. "I'll continue cooking" I said trying to avoid.
After hearing my words, this time his breath sounded very clearly in my ears. "Let me continue"
"But," Sergehanku was interrupted by mas Pandu when he suddenly got up from his seat while cutting off my speech.
"Don't argue" he said, as he passed "I'll cook for breakfast" he continued, seconds later I heard the sound of the stove on.
After breakfast a little late, I tidied up the table, then lifted the dishes we used to eat to wash.
"Here let me do the dishes" he concluded, which made me blink to look at him.
"Not necessary"
Just now I poured soap in the spoon, mas Pandu immediately grabbed it, then opened the water faucet to rinse my hands that had been exposed to soap foam. After the foam in my hand was clean, mas Pandu grabbed the cloth to dry my hand.
"This let me do the laundry, you make me coffee and put it in the den"
"Why silence?"
"I don't know the right dose that you like" I honestly said, because I really don't know.
Screaming with the tail of my eyes, mas Pandu curled his lips to form a smile.
"No need for a dose, just take a pack of instant coffee, and do not add sugar" Sahut with his hands continue to move rinsing dishes that he was washing.
While I was, hurrying to cook the water to brew the coffee. As soon as the coffee I brewed was ready, I took it to the study as instructed.
I put the coffee I made next to his laptop. When I went out, we passed each other in the doorway, my reflexes pulled over giving a gap so that the Pandu mas could enter.
"Where are you going?" he asked as I walked out of his study, he stood behind me, his hand holding a pile of paper.
"Cleaning the room" I replied trying to calm down.
He was my husband, but somehow, my heart rippled every time I faced him.
*****
At night, as I was sitting with my back on the headboard, I suddenly heard the door open. My heart almost stopped when I saw Pandu enter with his laptop.
"Not slept?" he asked as he stepped towards the bed, and I immediately closed the book I was reading.
Silence without making a sound, I shook my head after a few seconds. Then lie down while pulling the blanket up to the chest limit.
Mas Pandu extinguished the main light after turning on the lamp on the nightstand. I'll make sure he doesn't go straight to sleep. And sure enough, he who took his place next to me, sat stretching out his legs with his back resting on the head of the bed, then started to get busy with his laptop.
There was no conversation, I tilted my body behind him, while mas Pandu focused on his work.
Almost half an hour I tried to close my eyes but it did not work, it looks like Pandu mas has finished struggling with his laptop. Because I could feel there was a big movement from him like putting a laptop on a nightstand, then pulling a blanket that I was also wearing.
"Sleeping while thinking about something is not good for health" he said, who now seems to be in a supine position. And somehow my feelings suddenly agitated and scared.
I was stammered when this man changed my position to be supine, his position that was supporting his head with one hand, complete with a gaze that was so shady made my heart beat in there racing even louder.
Mas Pandu looked at me for a few seconds, before then he kissed me very softly and deeply.
I gulped in half-dead while thinking I can't dodge again this time.
I let him fondle me to let go of the pending thirst bubbling. The room that had been emitting cold temperatures because the Ac was on, had now disappeared without leaving a trace. Only the heat that struck me as the touch of his hand grew more and more wild, as his body overstressed me, my common sense seemed to float, especially when his lips moved to mine, I instantly forgot my intention to reject him. Until the long gales ended our activity, I felt him getting weaker and then dropping his head on the intersection between my neck and shoulders.
Not until there, after the thirst bubbling was released, mas Pandu did not immediately leave me, he actually rained on me with a kiss when he knew I was still holding pain. The next minute, mas Pandu laid his body beside me, then pulled me into his arms.
"The pain won't be long" he said, making me clumsy "Now go to sleep, I won't leave you" he said, clenching his arms.
Honestly, his words are so impressive, but I haven't been able to make me believe and believe in all his talk.
I'm sorry I still can't accept this marriage, let alone love you wholeheartedly. I do this only to fulfill my duty as a wife.
I could only deepen while breathing deeply and slowly close my eyes, hoping that nothing bad would happen to me tomorrow.
