The Macau Love Story

The Macau Love Story
Chapter 6 (Visiting Plaza Department store)

I held my breath as this burly hand coiled around my waist. I slept behind him, and he hugged me from behind, making me gulp with difficulty.

Just when I put my hand away slowly and was about to get out of my sleep, I was shocked when he grabbed himself to me, as if holding me back from waking up. Warm gusts of his breath swept across my nape, making my horse's fur goosebumps.

"It's noon, I'm cooking"

There was no answer from him, did not let go of me, instead his embrace tightened and even peeked at my nape.

"You said you love me, why let me starve"

Hearing my words, Pandu broke his embrace, then turned to his back. I rushed out of the room at seven in the morning to make him breakfast.

When I was arranging the results of my cooking, I lyrics mas Pandu approached me with a fresher condition, even he had taken a shower and changed shirts. Wearing glasses, he pulled up the dining chair and sat down and talked on his phone.

"Prepare a place for lunch, I'll come with my wife later"

Mas Pandu will take me away, that is my conclusion after hearing the conversation.

"No, we'll be back"

"How's your wound?" ask Mas Pandu shortly after deciding the call.

"It's okay" I replied as I filled the plate, then sat down opposite him.

"Is there anything to buy?, Mas Pandu asked as he stood up, reaching for the small bottle located at the end of the dining table.

"Where's your hand?"

"What do you want?"

"Don't ask a lot, where's your hand?"

Without saying anything, I stretched my hand out after the movement of her hand that directly held my wrist, then dripped something like propolis on my burn.

"Is there something you want to buy?" ask her with focus on staring at the table.

"There"

"Well after this we go out, and the day after tomorrow I'll take you to stay in Hong Kong with mom"

"And mas?"

I lyrically she slowed her chewing, then stared intently at me "I'll visit you every Tuesday and Saturday"

"Why didn't I bring my mom here, and stay with us?"

"Too dangerous for you" he answered and sipped water in a glass.

"Then stop gambling"

"It's not that easy to get out of the gambling circle, they're definitely not going to let me just walk away"

His words gave me a reflex to lift my eyes, then bring our natra together "Why?" my question is curious.

"Those whom I have defeated" Mas Pandu looked at me intently "Will continue to challenge me" he continued with an unshuffled glance for a second.

The screen of Mas Pandu's phone lit up, and instantly the net scanned his phone on the table.

"Look, when I still want to break enjoying my post-marriage days with you, but they keep calling me"

My heart felt like it was falling to hear her words just now, I clenched my lips tightly. Anxiety, anxiety and fear suddenly stopped in my mind.

"You need not be afraid, I have bodyguards to accompany you in Hong Kong, they live in front of the unit that my mother lives in" he concluded as if knowing the sudden fear enveloped me.

"Will my life continue like this?"

The man in front of me clasped my hand tightly on the table "I'm sorry"

I bowed my gaze and returned to feed the fried rice that had turned bland.

When I raised my head, it turned out that Pandu was looking at me sharply, was digesting my words maybe, or was thinking about something.

******

After breakfast, mas Pandu told me to take a bath, and he would wash the dishes used to eat. I refused earlier, but mas Pandu said I had cooked, so it was his turn to wash the dishes.

****

I stared at the figure of Mas Pandu for a moment after opening the bathroom door. He was sitting on the balcony of our room enjoying a cigarette. His gaze focused on the phone screen in his left hand, and the other hand repeatedly slipped the cigarette into his mouth.

The man was really a lot minus, and worse, he was my husband.

Exhaling slowly, I walked towards the wardrobe where the clothes were stored. Clothes that are on average less material make me illicit when I see it.

After putting on clothes, I sat staring at myself in front of the mirror. A few minutes passed, it looked like Pandu got up from his seat, then shifted the glass door that connects the room with the balcony, he again shifted to close it, after entering the room. I stood up and approached him.

"Where's my hand?"

"You what?" sahut.

"Don't ask much" I replied as I reached for Pandu's hand and sprayed the handsanitizer to taste.

"I don't like the smell of cigarettes"

He rubbed both of his palms "Still smelly?" he asked while thrusting his palm right in front of my nose.

"No" I answered and went back to the mirror to sweep a little powder over my face.

I saw Pandu changing his shorts with trousers. Honestly I just know how he looks like this, wearing a dress shirt, with body-fitting trousers and minus glasses perched wrapped around his eyes. If you can judge, the man looks younger and handsome, compared to when he was wearing a dark t-shirt that always covers his neck and is combined with a suit.

"Are you ready?" ask her while wrapping the watch, then grabbing the car keys on the nightstand.

"Have" I answered without seeing it.

When I just came out of the apartment door, and after the Pandu mas closed it which could automatically be locked, my heart was made to beat when suddenly his hand held my hand.

***

"Where are we going?" ask me while in the car, and mas Pandu is installing seatbelt.

"You said there was something you wanted to buy" he said, glancing at the rearview mirror and turning the steering wheel to the right. "We go to the Plaza, after that I will take you to visit the hotel, and my restaurant, and we all have lunch there and we return home" he explained at length.

This is the second time I look at the view of Macau, I was amazed by the beauty of its towering buildings and architecture that I think is unique. For about 15 minutes we were in the parking lot of the Plaza. A shopping center that is more than three floors.

"What do you want to buy?" her question was again holding my hand, while I, feeling nervous about getting her treatment.

"Shirt"

Mas Pandu seemed to frown "Shirt?" the question was full of wonder "Not a lot of clothes at home and that's all" he continued walking up the escalator to the second floor, a place that specifically sells clothes.

"I don't like clothes like that"

"Why?"

"Too open" I replied briefly.
