29. I Love You

"Where are you Jo?" kevin's voice halted Rory's steps as she was walking towards her room.

"When are you back?" rory asked when she saw Kevin approaching her.

"A few minutes ago" replied Kevin.

"Why don't you call me when you get back?" rory asked as she opened the door to her room and went inside followed by Kevin.

"No need.How could I use a taxi. You haven't answered my question Jo." Kevin said after closing the door.

"I'm just walking." replied Rory.

"I'm not sure that's all you do." welcome Kevin. "Walk in a tuxedo?are you kidding me?" Kevin looked at Rory.

"Did you see him again?"ask Kevin.

"Why don't I get surprised by your question.As you're guessing you already know without me telling you." said Rory smiling, dropping his body on the couch near his bed.

"Are you in a relationship with him?"kevin asked to sit next to Rory.

"What do you think?"ask Rory excitedly.

"Stop it.."Kevin shrugged both shoulders.

"As long as he's not like HIM who only uses you" he continued.

"He will not be like Him.It is very clear they are two different people."' replied Rory sure.

"You believe that to him?People you've only known in a matter of months?"kevin asked narrowing his eyes."While the One you know for a few years easily hurts you." he added.

"Didn't you suggest that I call her that day" Rory asked, not liking Kevin's reaction.

"Indeed, I'm asking you to contact her JUST to make you stop thinking about unnecessary things, but I'm not asking you to be in a relationship with her" Kevin said.

"It's not you who decides who I'm going to fall in love with Kevin." welcome Rory to suppress her voice.

"I know, but I wish you could take care of your own heart, not just me, but papa, mama and they don't want the same thing to happen to Jordan" Kevin said softly.

"I know, and I understand that too.I'll make sure it doesn't happen.So can you stop talking about my past?I almost forgot about it, and you brought it back to the surface" Rory said.

"All right, well, well, I stopped talking about it. Rest.Oh.I almost forgot, I left something for you, and I put it under your clothes..Take the time to call your mom, you don't see how disappointed you're not seeing you come home" Kevin said.

"I get it. I'll call you tomorrow" replied Rory.

Kevin got up from his seat and stepped closer to the door intending to exit, but kevin stopped his steps when his hand was on the door knob.

"I wish I could meet the guy who changed you" Kevin said without turning his back.

"With this attitude that you're going to show, I'd rather go in the direction that you don't have to meet him at all" Rory said.

"Of course I'll behave in front of him. Because I also want to know what kind of woman she is" Kevin replied with a discordant laugh."night Jo"he said then came out and closed the door afterwards.

"The protection it has never changes." - Rory.

Sighing long, Rory got up from her seat towards the bathroom with a quick movement.In an instant Rory put down her body and opened her phone.

Photos of himself with Nayla filled the screen of his cellphone.Wide smile formed complete the look of his face that shows happiness in Rory.

"Hemmm, what did I change the name?"rory muttered when he opened Nayla's mobile number which said Naya there.

Still smiling, Rory changed Nayla's name on her phone.His hand was folded behind her head with eyes glaring.

"I Love You Naya.

The boiling wind fluttered Nayla's hair, and the light of the lamp shone on her shocked face.

"What..???"Nayla widened her eyes as if unsure of what she was hearing.

"I'm sure you heard me Nay, and what you heard was true" said Rory softly but solemnly.

"Why-how, since when, why, why," stammering, Nayla asked without being able to finish her sentence.

Nayla was petrified as Rory slowly stepped closer.His hands stretched out tidying Nayla's hair in the wind.

"If you ask me how, I don't have the answer myself, but I can say one thing for sure, it can't be measured by time. It's the intensity that counts." said Rory smiling.

"Since when?I've liked you since the first time I saw you, as time went on, as I got to know you more, the feeling became deeper and stronger, and I couldn't keep harboring it." Rory said softly as she grabbed Nayla's hand.

"And why? I love you unconditionally, without asking you to repay me. I only love you purely even if you don't love me even once" Rory said.

Nayla looked at Rory deeply, tracing the depths of her eyes, looking for lies there, but found nothing but honesty.

"Will you be my lover?"ask Rory.

From his eyes radiated with hope, but not demanding.The day that passed with Rory as if twisted again in front of Nayla's eyes.The feeling he had felt all this time against Rory again disturbed his heart.With Rory's statement he heard at this time, the feeling he had,making Nayla realize one thing that she is not the only one who feels it.

Gathering her courage, Nayla nodded her head.Rory's eyes widened and her lipped smile widened clarifying the brightness on her face.

"I want to" answered Nayla starting to lower her head, hiding the red hue on her cheeks.

Gently Rory lifted Nayla's chin to look into her eyes.

"Really?"asked Rory to make sure and Nayla nodded again.

"It's not because you ask and I have to answer, but..."Nayla took a deep breath before continuing, "But because of what you feel, I've been feeling it.Either since when I didn't realize it.But what I said is true.I also love you Roy."Revealed Nayla.

Hearing Nayla's last sentence, Rory quickly pulled Nayla in her arms, and easily lifted her body and twisted her.

"Heyy...Roy...Put me down."so Nayla hit Rory on the shoulder.

"I...very..happy....Do you know that?"rory said after lowering Nayla, loosened her hands but did not release her embrace.

"I love you, I really love you," said Rory tightening his arms again.

"They look at us Roy."whispered Nayla glanced at the waiter and violinist standing there.

Finally Nayla returned Rory's embrace with a smile on her lips.Lay her head on Rory's chest.

"Let's leave this place, the wind is getting colder" whispered Rory,

Nayla nods her head in agreement.Rory grabs Nayla's hand and tucks her finger there, leaving a roof where she can get love from the woman she loves.

They reach the car and leave the hotel with happiness that fills their hearts.

"May I ask you something Roy?"nayla asked as the car started to run.

"Ask me." said Rory turned his head for a moment and turned to the street again.

"When you said you first saw me, did you mean at the cafe when I returned your wallet?"ask Nayla.

'In the end I have to keep saying that to him, but I think it will make me more relieved' Rory thought

"Part long before that" answered Rory.

"Before that?"Nayla turned to face Rory."Did we ever meet before?"asked Nayla with a frown.Effort to remember something.

"Why did I think about it in Darwin's room" Nayla said unconsciously.

"It's true that we met again there, but still before that."tipal Rory.

"Ehh, so the one in Mr Darwin's room is you?"nayla was surprised.

"Yes, don't you remember?"ask Rory.

"Emmm, that moment somehow a lot of things I forgot about something" said Nayla reasoned.

"Do you remember the night at the park.?"rory asked, turning around for a moment and seeing Nayla raise her eyebrows.

"The fountain." said Rory.

"Wait a minute wait..what?what did you say?don't tell me that's the one at the time." asked Nayla to turn her eyes.

"Yes, you didn't hear Nay wrong..Fountain.Man in black jacket, hat and black mask.that's me."cut Rory.

As if the burden on his shoulder was lifted Rory laughed softly feeling relieved, then sighed before saying,

"That's when I saw you first and that's when I was attracted to you" Rory said.

"And who would have thought, the wallet was yours, and I took it home instead of giving it to you" Nayla said, laughing.

"You received a call back then, and have been there for a long time" said Rory sighed softly and continued, continuing,

"To be honest, at that time I felt very guilty about you, especially when I met you again at a cafe" said Rory.

"Why is that?"ask Nayla.

"I've indirectly made you sit there waiting for hours just because of my wallet." Rory explained.

"Wait a minute wait.."Nayla interjected and looked at Rory who was driving, Rory turned her head for a moment, but Nayla started laughing.

"What..?"ask Rory wonder.

"I think it explains something." said Nayla holding back a laugh but failed.

"Hey, come on. Tell me, what makes you laugh like that?"ask Rory wonder.

"Before that, I'll ask you one thing" said Nayla.

"Okay.continue." said Rory.

"Is it because it made you choke when it came?"ask Nayla.

Nayla's laughter broke again as she saw Rory's face blushing and continued her sentence.

"You caught Roy." said Nayla.

Suddenly Rory stopped his car, then with a tickle tickled Nayla.

"Aahh,, enough is enough.stop it.." shouted Nayla because it was amused.

"No." answered Rory grinning, "You're really enjoying teasing me, aren't you?"rory said he continued to tickle Nayla.

"You're really going to get arrested for stopping on the street" Nayla said hoping Rory would stop.

"Ohh,, really??Unfortunately it won't happen" said Rory confidently.

"No.no.ampun..Roy's.."Nayla tries to dodge and brushes off Rory's hand.

Nayla laughs as Rory continues to tickle her.It is easy for Rory to catch Nayla's hand and clutch her wrist.

Nayla's laughter subsided, replaced with Rory's eyes looking at her deeply.Their very close faces made them unable to turn their faces away.

"Keep laughing like this, Nay, I love seeing you laugh and don't take that smile off your lips" Rory said

Slowly Rory brought her face closer, gently kissing Nayla's forehead, shedding her affection, feeling caring and wanting to protect whatever happened.

Rory returned to run his car until he arrived at Nayla's apartment.

"Tell me when you get to Roy" said Nayla after getting out of the car and standing on the outside of the car.

"Surely" replied Roy blinking his eyes."Bye Nay" said Rory.

"Bye.."reply Nayla waved her hand,

With a bright smile, Rory leaves Nayla's apartment and Nayla looks at Rory's departure with a smile.Nayla turns around when Rory's car disappears from her sight.
