THE LOVE OF MY LIFE
102. Bonus chapter. Editions before the wedding

### A few weeks before the wedding

Unbeknownst to Rory, Nayla regularly secretly visits Alisha. At first Alisha thinks Nayla just wants to make fun of her, but after Nayla comes a few times and never discusses anything sensitive for her, Alisha accepts Nayla's visit with a warm smile.

Late Alisha learns who Nayla is, in fact, shocked when some of the officers standing guard in her cell approach Nayla and ask for her autograph on the book they are carrying.

Even more surprising, Alisha herself also liked and admired Nayla's book.

"I never thought that it turns out you are the author who is always the conversation of many people. Why didn't you forget it from the beginning? That way, you will not accept insults from others" asked Alisha.

"Because I'm more comfortable with people who ignore me" replied Nayla.

"And now you've changed your mind?" alisha asked who was answered with a nod of the head.

"Why? Of course you have a reason if you are willing to leave your comfort zone" said Alisha.

"I don't want Roy to bear this too. I can't let others demean it just because they think I'm just a regular worker in the book editor's office, it feels so annoying when I can keep their mouths shut but I keep quiet," nayla.

"Ahh, I know what it's like, pretending it's not always profitable" said Alisha.

"Then, what about your wedding plans?" ask Alisha curious.

"That, Haahh, don't ask! All the things to do were tiring, and there was never a time to really rest" Nayla lamented.

Alisha laughed briefly, but a second later looked at Nayla with guilt lodged in her heart.

"Why do you keep being nice to me when I even plan to kill you?" ask Alisha lirih.

"Before I answer, can I ask you something?" nayla replied asking.

'I guess I'll keep asking, and I'm sure it's about me and Relena. But, it's okay. I don't mind if he wants to dig deeper than me, I'll be here for a few years, ' Inner Alisha.

"You don't have to answer if my question feels burdened, Alisha, I won't push you" Nayla said with a sincere smile.

Alisha nodded slowly, then smiled.

"Say, I will answer it as best I can and without covering anything up" Alisha replied.

"Are you going to do anything for your sister even if it's going to hurt yourself?" ask Nayla.

Alisha stared at Nayla for a while, she did not expect to get such a question at all. Take a moment to think before answering.

"As long as it's not something wrong, then yes, I will do anything for her. Even if the pay is my own life. All I know is, she has to be happy. But, if she has the wrong move, I will do anything to resuscitate her" Alisha replied.

"Just like this moment. When I get out, I'll keep finding ways to wake him up if he still takes the wrong steps" he added.

"Are all the sisters going to do that?" ask Nayla.

Nayla tried her best to suppress her feelings, covering up what was stirring in her heart from Alisha.

"Let's know, I don't know if anyone else. But me and Kevin will behave the same. Kevin also loves his sister very much, and now he also loves you as much as his own sister, even more," said Alisha.

"That's how it looks," Nayla muttered softly.

"Thank you for answering Alisha" Nayla said.

"Why are you asking so_,,,"

"The storm is over, I ask you to leave this place immediately, miss,"

The cell guard interrupted Alisha's sentence until she failed to finish it.

"Ah, fine. Wait a minute," replied Nayla kindly.

Nayla turned her eyes to Alisha.

"My reason for asking that is because, the answer is related to what you asked me earlier," replied Nayla as she stood up.

"I'll see you next time, take care of yourself, Alisha," Nayla said before leaving.

"Hey,,,!"

Alisha's voice halted Nayla's steps which immediately turned to look at her. Waiting for what Alisha wants to tell him.

"I know you've found out who told that person to make plagiarism, I'll warn them not to bother you. However, if they keep doing it, just do what you want to do without hooking me in it, I know you will not do something without basis" said Alisha smiling sincerely.

"I'll work on it, I hope my heart doesn't beat my logic when it happens in front of my eyes" Nayla replied.

Nayla turned her back and walked out of the detention center. He did not go directly to where the car was parked, but Nayla actually sat in a long chair located not far from the entrance of the LP.

Reflect on what Alisha said before she came out.

'How did he know I found the culprit?' thought.

Meanwhile, Alisha, who was staring at Nayla's back away, also had her own thoughts.

'He looks soft and always quiet. But he can get the information up to the smallest part to turn things around. It would be best if I warned them to stop teasing her before they regretted it. He is not an easy person to touch, ' Inner Alisha.

Nayla wakes up from her seat and stretches her body, intending to leave the LP before she is found missing for too long.

However, his steps were stopped when he was about to reach his car by three women he had met while in Paris with Rory.

"Look at this, who just visited a criminal," one of them said.

"Ah,, youguys. Did you come to visit Alisha?" ask Nayla kindly.

"I don't think that's something you should know for now" he replied cynically.

"Then, excuse me. Have a great day" said Nayla, turning around.

"Have he been caught plagiarizing you left him? Are you planning on finding someone richer than him?" sip one of them.

"That means his name in the music world is going to sink isn't it?"trace the other.

"Hahh," said Nayla slowly, turning to face them.

"I plan on keeping quiet and letting go of you considering you're Alisha's friends. I'll give you free advice" said Nayla.

They were silent as if someone was intimidating them.

"If you can't afford enough to pay someone to make a silly drama about plagiarism, you'd better shut up" Nayla said coldly.

"Oh, should I mention one by one the cases that your parents caused?" nayla raised her eyebrows.

"A book editor's office is illegal? Plagiarism of printed works? Or the cover-up of a writer's suicide?"

The three women flinched backwards. Staring at Nayla with a horrified expression.

'How does he know all that?' their inner.

"And what did you guys just say? I visited a criminal? Really true?" ask Nayla.

"Isn't that true?" his reply.

"I wonder how Alisha would feel if she heard this coming out of your mouth, which she considers a friend" Nayla said.

"What do you mean?" ask her with a annoyed tone.

"Excuse me,,"

Someone's voice interrupted them before Nayla could answer.

"Yes?" welcome Nayla smile.

"Oh, I'm so gini-degan," muttered the young man who approached Nayla smiling shyly.

The young man looked down embarrassed, trying to compose his sentence before speaking.

"Sure" answered Nayla.

The young man handed the book in his hand with a pen inside.

"What's your name?" ask Nayla.

"S-me, Malvin," he replied timidly.

"Hmm,, Malvin. All right, here," said Nayla, returning the book.

Malvin cheered happily when he saw the book again. His name was written next to Nayla's signature. He thanked me again and left.

"Why the young man? Why ask for his autograph?" muttered one of them.

When Nayla was about to return to talk, a car she knew well enough to stop right behind her car.

Moments later, Martin got out of the car followed by Adrian.

"Aish,, get caught," complained Nayla slowly, but enough to hear the three women nearby.

"What are you doing here?" martin asked a little annoyed.

"Are you ignoring what I'm asking for, Nay?" adrian timpal.

"Why can you two be together?" nayla replied asking.

"I was planning to come to your apartment, but Martin came to the office to meet you" explained Adrian.

"Why?" nayla's forehead is wrinkled.

"I'll explain later" replied Adrian.

"Are they bothering you again, Nay?" martin asked, staring intently at the three women near Nayla.

"No, I just accidentally met them before coming home.

"You see, Alisha?" guess Martin.

"Yes" answered Nayla briefly.

A rough breath came out of Martin's mouth. He looked back at the three women, but said nothing. Martin turned to face Nayla and grabbed her hand.

"Give Adrian the keys to your car, and you come with me" Martin ordered in a stern tone.

"You don't mind, do you, Adrian?" martin turned to Adrian.

"Not at all" replied Adrian.

Feeling the atmosphere was different, and Nayla also felt cornered could only comply. Nayla does not fight back as Martin leads her to get into the car after giving her the car keys.

Silence covered the car during the trip. Martin was driving with Nayla beside him. Actually, Nayla also knew Martin kept a lot of questions for her, just like he also kept some questions for Martin.

"Give me a reason why you should go see someone who even plans to kill you? He even managed to send you to the hospital in a critical state" asked Martin breaking the silence.

From her voice alone, Nayla knew she was upset, and held back her emotions. Martin also asked without looking at him in the slightest, but the tension in his hands was very clear.

"She's already regretted it, and she's also changed" Nayla replied.

"really? Don't you think he can do it a second time_not a third time, he's already twice, have you forgotten that?" sergeant Martin.

"He's an older brother, Martin," Nayla replied calmly.

"Kevin is also an older brother," Martin replies beginning to look upset.

"If I were in his position, I would do the same, too" Nayla said.

"CIITTT,,,,!!!"

Martin stepped on the brake suddenly and immediately turned his body to look at Nayla who was slightly surprised by Martin's action.

"What exactly do you want to say? You're not the one who's going to hurt anyone else" Martin said.

"He's just acting like a big brother" Nayla explained.

"But that doesn't mean you have to hurt other people" Martin said.

Nayla turned her body and faced Martin. Make their positions face each other.

"Can you give me time to explain without interruption from you?" ask Nayla.

Martin was silent, but gave a slow nod as a sign of agreement.

"Alisha just wants her sister to be happy, but she doesn't know what her sister is hiding. He only made an absolute condition for himself that he should be able to make his sister happy at all costs,"

"When he knew that his sister was the one who made the mistake, he emphasized to himself that he should be able to make his sister come back,"

Nayla explained carefully, but it was still not enough for Martin.

"But still, he should have figured out first what the truth was. How can you compare yourself to her?" martin was not satisfied.

"I always blamed myself for the death of my brother, Martin," Nayla said, leaving Martin stunned.

"You know? All this time I always thought that I was the one who killed my brother, I always blamed him for saving me and leaving me, why he didn't let me be with him,"

"After a lot of things I've been through, how much I wanted to protect someone who meant something to me, it made me understand why my brother gave up his life at the time,"

"It's the same as Alisha's, too,"

Every sentence Nayla said made Martin could no longer deny it. At last he could only sigh slowly, not knowing how to respond to what Nayla had just said.

'This is what you call seeking answers at that time?' inner Martin.

Martin again ran his car in silence, still digesting everything he had just heard.

"Did they know I was there?" nayla asked after a long pause of silence.

"Only I know because I'm tracking your GPS, and they're waiting in your apartment" Martin explained.

"Include him?" ask Nayla again.

"He was suspicious, but he didn't know anything" Martin replied.

"Are you going to tell him this?" ask Nayla worried.

"No" answered Martin. "You're the one who has to tell him yourself, and trust me he won't press you with questions either. He's changed drastically since the last incident, and always be careful if there's anything to do with you" Martin said.

"So you're the one who has to say it with or without being asked by him" Martin said.

"I understand" replied Nayla.

Martin took a quick glance, then fell. He continued to run his car until he reached the apartment building where Nayla lived.

Seeing that Nayla's car had arrived first, the two of them immediately headed to the floor of Nayla's apartment and found that everyone had been in Nayla's workroom.

Relax, read a book, and Roy?

Playing guitar, singing songs he made.

Nayla placed her forehead palm with a long breath
