L.O.S.E 23 - Unexpected Flow

ARC 1 - Fall to Rise

The aura Shu En released was obviously to provoke Zhao Tian out. The situation in Xudong was not too severe compared to Liuwu, but still the thing that the Seven Colors Pagoda did was inexcusable.

“Looks like a person working under the orders of the Queen who has come!” The figure of the burly man sitting on top of the building smiled.

“They did not know that Xudong was a diversion after you exterminated the imperial officials!” The man descended from the top of the building and moved at high speed towards the city gate.

“Everything snuggles to the gate! We have an uninvited guest!” said the man who was none other than Zhao Tian.

The arrival of Zhao Tian with his troops was greeted Shu En and Liu Bai who immediately attacked them. Zhao Tian's subordinates instantly withdrew their weapons and surrounded Shu En with Liu Bai.

“Two Queen Yang guards?! So you two are behind all this?!”

“Looks like your luck ended in Xudong!”

All of Zhao Tian's subordinates began to launch attacks using a formation. This made Shu En look for a gap for Xu Kai to be able to deal with Zhao Tian.

“Tuan Shu, I'll help!”

Liu Bai released a black-colored aura and it formed a hand that numbered in the tens. Using the attack, Liu Bai managed to resist some movements of the Seven Color Pagoda cultivators while holding onto parts of their bodies.

“Your abilities are more useful than this! You can still improve even better, Liu Bai!” Shu En praised Liu Bai who was beginning to be able to control his abilities.

“Then it's my turn, right?!” Shu En also pulled out a sword from his body aura.

Zhao Tian smiled as he learned that Shu En and Liu Bai's abilities exceeded his expectations.

“Simply you can kill them all!” zhao Tian said while releasing a large amount of Qi.

“Devil Sword Arts - Echoes of Death!”

With a single breath, Shu En had already unleashed a slash that killed the cultivator of the Seven Color Pagoda. All those cultivators surrounding him died in an instant and made Zhao Tian dumbfounded.

Zhao Tian broke out in cold sweat when he realized Shu En's sword ability was deadly. Of all the people he had met, the technique Shu En used had never seen and encountered.

“Your ability is-”

BOOM!!!

Before Zhao Tian reacted any further, Xu Kai first attacked him. As Xu Kai began his fight with Zhao Tian, all the cultivators of the Seven Colors Pagoda who tried to besiege Shu En were killed.

The residents who saw this incident also stayed away, some of them prayed to the God if Xu Kai could free them from this suffering.

“Everything will be fine! I am Xu Kai, will take over Xudong and kill these bastards!” Xu Kai exclaimed loudly while revealing his fire-filled fist.

“I guarantee it!”

After that Xu Kai launched his attack on Zhao Tian. That fire-filled punch shot rapidly towards Zhao Tian and clashed with Zhao Tian's punch.

‘The person I fear is not Xu Kai but the young man behind him! Who-is-she?! How could a Divine Realm Cultivator be on their side?!’ Zhao Tian was terrified as he looked at the overflowing energy surrounding Shu En.

Amazingly Shu En only showed this ability to Zhao Tian so Xu Kai and Liu Bai did not know about it.

“I've never seen anyone with such abilities other than Emperor Tang! Who is that person, Xu Kai?!” zhao Tian said to Xu Kai.

“So you're more interested in Mr Shu than I am?! Have you forgotten the people you killed?!” Xu Kai looked furious while Zhao Tian froze.

“What's up?! Why did you lower your guard?!” yelled Xu Kai to Zhao Tian.

“Xu Kai, I didn't hear wrong, did I? You said Mr. Shu..” Zhao Tian gulped as he looked at Shu En who was behind Xu Kai.

“Shu... There is only one person of Shu in the world. If there is another person surnamed Shu then that person is the son of His Highness Shu Jiang!” zhao Tian said making everyone speechless.

“Are you Prince Shu En?!” zhao Tian is back.

Shu En stared coldly at Zhao Tian and walked towards him. In just a split second, Shu En was already beside Zhao Tian while holding onto his shoulder.

“Zhao Tian, what is your relationship with my late father?” Shu En asked.

“So right you-Argh!!”

Suddenly Zhao Tian's body immediately hit the ground as Shu En released the bullying pressure that made Zhao Tian's body feel so heavy.

“Jawab my question!” firmly Shu En is cold.

“I... I am a former soldier of the Shu Empire... When I was about to be appointed a general, that catastrophe happened.”.

Zhao Tian told Shu En the truth about his identity and past. After unsuccessfully trying to protect Shu Jiang, Zhao Tian was dying from confronting some of Emperor Tang's confidants.

But in that terrible massacre, Zhao Tian survived and managed to survive amidst the heartbreaking rubble of ruins.

After realizing that the Shu Empire was not the land he knew as before, Zhao Tian lost his way. Until one day he met with the leader of the Seven Colors Pagoda and joined the group in order to complete his personal vendetta.

“I'm waiting for an opportunity for Emperor Tang and traitor Shu Liang! In order to complete that ambition I was willing to throw away the side of justice and kill many innocent people!”

Zhao Tian smiled sadly after telling Shu En his story, then walked up to Xu Kai asking the young man to execute himself.

“I don't mind dying in your hands, Xu Kai. I'm sure my revenge will be avenged by Prince Shu En.”

Zhao Tian had already broken himself, yet Xu Kai was unable to kill him. Xu Kai found out that Zhao Tian could be a useful reinforcements if he joined their side and this was the same thing Shu En thought.

Yet Shu En looked unconcerned and gave Xu Kai a choice.

“All depends on you, Xu Kai. You can kill him.” Shu En told me.

“But Mr Shu, don't you mind?” Xu Kai asked.

“What do I mind? I can still extract information from him even after he dies in your hands!” Shu En gave an answer.

Hearing that Xu Kai clenched his hands and vented all his anger by shouting as loudly as possible. Then with a sharp gaze Xu Kai looked at Zhao Tian full of hatred.

“Tuan Shu, what if he joins us?” Xu Kai asked for an advantage if Zhao Tian cooperated with them.

“I don't mind, instead it's more profitable. But don't you mind all this?”

“I still have a great grudge against him! But I don't mind!”

“Alright, if that's your decision, Xu Kai. You don't have to worry, if this guy is a traitor I'll kill him.”

Shu En immediately released the pressure of intimidation and looked at Zhao Tian sharply.

“Tell me the location of the people you held hostage and wanted to serve as slaves?” shu En said.

“One more time, show the location of the person who decapitated the population and put it viciously in front of the city gate!” added Shu En.

Zhao Tian also told Shu En that the people who wanted to be made slaves were still in good condition. They were not all driven directly to the Tang Empire, but were now in a forest to hide.

“I work with Yong Xiang... He was a white flow cultivator who had a grudge against Shu Jiang.”.

Zhao Tian explained with a trembling body due to Shu En's cold gaze.

“While the people who massacred the population and beheaded them were Xiong Ni, Mo Tianzhi, Feng En and the leader, Kai Xuexuan.”.

Zhao Tian tells Shu En the truth before he faints from enduring the pressure of intimidation Shu En has released for too long.

“Unexpected flow...” Shu En smiled as he did not expect that one of the higher-ups of the Seven Colors Pagoda was a former soldier of the Shu Empire.
