chapter 7: Meeting the (weak) human heroes

It's morning already. I must have slept well because I didn't even wake up last night.

I got out of my bed, took a shower and then put on some clothes. We were told by the king to go to the palace to meet the human heroes.

I now head to the palace and I am surprised that the palace was restored even though I destroyed half of it.

The king was sitting on a golden throne with jewels. The king should be that rich even using gold and gems to decorate his throne.

Some of the men sat in their seats prepared by the king. After observing the heroes, I can only say one thing. They are so weak. They could not even defeat the demon warriors in their current state.

After I entered the palace and sat on my seat, Zale, Sophie and Mathew entered and also sat on their seats. After all of us heroes were here, the king spoke and said,

"I'm level 89!",

The human hero with short black hair said. She is one of the two female heroes.

"I'm level 104" said the human hero with shoulder-length red hair. She is one of the two female heroes.

"I'm level 125",

Human heroes with brown hair who I think are their leaders say.

"I'm level 93",

Human heroes with brown hair who are equipped with heavy armor and who I think are the tanks they say.

"I'm still level 2",

said the human hero with the weakest pitch-black hair of the human hero. I think the heroes get along except for the level 2 heroes who I think are the ones being bullied by them.

"As I expected of the heroes! Most of you are already at a high level! Mind if I ask why one of you is still level 2?", the beastman King asked.

"I'm sorry if you think he's weak in your honor. He is the only one who does not want to continue his hero duties and slack off all the time.", Reply to the brown-haired human hero.

"It's OK but at least most of you are willing to accept your hero's duty despite being summoned to this world. I admit that I was quite surprised that 4 of you were willing to help us in defeating the demon lord" said the beastman king.

"It's not a big deal, Your Majesty. We are happy to help the other heroes in defeating the demon king.", The human hero with brown hair said.

"I'll ask the combat instructor to help the level 2 hero get some levels so that he can join you in-" As King is about to finish his message, the level 2 hero interrupts.

"Just who do you think you are to order me to train even though this world kidnapped me and now asks us to defeat the damn demon lord?! You got the guts for the kidnapper!", the hero with the pitch-black hair said.

'Well, that's what I want to hear! A person with the right mentality who honestly says what he wants to say even with the presence of someone who helped the kidnapper kidnap him.' The royal guard beside the king started shouting,

"How dare you speak like that to the king! How insolent and disrespectful you are" [Abyss Of Darkness],

I chanted and directed a spell towards the royal guard who then swallowed him in endless darkness without leaving any trace behind even his corpse.

The hero is right. Why should he listen to his captors? May I ask you, King if someone kidnaps you, will you listen to his demands? same.",

I asked the king while clapping his hands to have his voice penetrate the entire throne room.

"How can you defeat a level, 300 royal guards! You have been summoned recently so that you cannot be above level 200 and how dare you speak to me like that!", the King said.

"I think it's laughable that you're fit to be a king with your temperament!", I insult the king.
