Chapter 5: conversing with the other heroes and a dragon?

"Thank you for understanding, hero-sama. I'll invite you to the palace after it's repaired. You can stay in the inn where the other heroes live. I hope you all heroes will become allies in the future!", The King said.

The king then leaves with several guards accompanying him while the heroes choose to stay. The heroes are approaching me.

Looks like I'll chat with the heroes for a while.

The two beastman heroes started talking to me. Half-human, half-wolf is female while the other beastman heroes are male.

Other goblin heroes are also male. I didn't expect any heroine because most of the novels I read on Earth have male heroes as protagonists fighting the demon lord to return to their world, but I haven't read a novel that has a heroine. This fantasy world is unique.

"Is your class a witch? My class is a swordsman", the half-lion hero asked me.

"I don't have a class yet. I'm only level 21", I replied to the half-lion hero. .

"What's!? You are level 21?! I'm only level 78 but my magic isn't as strong as yours even with a hero buff.", The half-lion hero said to me doubtfully.

"You focus on the attack because you are a swordsman so expect your magic is not as strong as mine because I focus on my Intelligence Statistics", I said to the half-lion hero.

"I also have a unique passive skill that gives me additional stats in Intelligence and Wisdom.", I added.

"Oh, so that's why your magic is powerful. But how did you obtain a high-level spell like a meteor shower even though you were only level 21?", the half-lion hero asked me.

“That's a secret!”, I replied to the half-lion hero.

"OK, but you better tell me in the future because we will be allies who will fight against the demon king.", The half-lion hero said to me.

"By the way, what class are half-wolf beastman heroes and goblin heroes?", I asked the half-lion hero.

"The goblin hero class is a thief while the half wolf beastman class is a ... I don't know because he doesn't talk much let alone talk to us and talk about our skills.", Beastman is half lion

"OK thanks for the information", I said to the half-lion human hero

. "Welcome, bro! My name is Zale Pallius. What about you?", asked Zale.

"My name is Axel Everheart. Nice to meet you, Zale!", I said to Zale.

"Wait... You are Axel Everheart! High School genius who invented a new alloy! You are my idol! How did you die?!", Zale asked me.

It seems like Zale is one of my fans. I mean, I'm a famous high school genius and I'm mostly the idol of all high school students.

"I will claim my Nobel prize but because of my misfortune, I slipped a banana peel and hit my head on the cement road and then I died" I replied Zale.

"Haha! Even a genius can die a funny death!", Zale laughed at my humiliating death.

I can't even believe I died that way. I never thought that I was so lucky to slip a banana peel.

*House lord, I detected a dragon approaching this kingdom. Only 50 km remained before reaching Eldion. With the current speed, it would reach around 10 minutes.*

Yep! I was able to gain some expanded skills. I have missed another battle!

"Do you all want to fight the dragon?", I asked all the heroes.

"Why are you asking? I can't defeat a dragon at my current level" Zale said.

"My class is an assassin so fighting a great opponent like a dragon will not let me show my full potential. I can't beat him either" said the half-wolf hero.

To my surprise, the quiet half-wolf beastman hero started talking and also revealed his class.

"How about you, goblin hero?", I asked the goblin hero.

"My class is a thief so don't expect me to fight on the front lines. I will mostly bring you magic items but I can't fight well" said the goblin hero.

"We will be strong in the future but we don't fight that much so we don't develop well and fighting dragons is something we can't do" Zale said.

"Then, do you want to escape because I feel a dragon approaching us and it will reach Eldion in just 5 minutes.", I told all the heroes.

*Host means the system that feels it is not the host.*

I know but they don't know about the system, so I tell them that I'm the one who feels it.

*Quite fair.*

"I think I can defeat a dragon if I use the break limit but a dragon should not be level 300 or higher" Zale said.

"Sorry to break your bubble, but the level of the dragon is 500.", I told the heroes.

"Do you think we can defeat a dragon with that level? It was just suicide" said the half-wolf hero.

"Do you know why I am called a high school genius?", I asked them.

"Why? And this is not the time to boast of yourself as a genius" said the half-wolf beastman hero in a cold tone.

"That's because I made the impossible possible! Do you all want to see a miracle? A level 21 hero defeated a level 500 dragon!", I said to the heroes.

"That's impossible!", said the goblin hero.

“Then I will make it possible!”, I said to the goblin hero.

“We only have one minute before the dragon reaches Eldon. I will create a new magic spell that can defeat that dragon.”, I tell the heroes.

"So you also discovered the meteor shower spell?", Zale asked me.

"Yes", I replied.

Defeat the level 500 fire dragon.

Rewards: Random unique skill and half of the Dragon stats.

If the host can defeat the dragon in one hit then the host will be given an affinity with Dragon magic. The host would not receive any experience from the dragon.
