Chapter 13: Fighting the Dragon King

The fight started to become serious as we used up all of our strength and our strength-enhancing skills.

Our strength frightened most of the dragons on the mountain because I could hear a lot of flapping sounds from their wings and the dragons went from near this cave as they sensed the powerful creatures inside.

I have not thought about fighting the dragon king in this early round and I still have not found a powerful being until now. The dragon king used his sharp claws to attack me with a slash strike, but I managed to dodge all of it thanks to my high speed stat as well as my lucky stat.

I cast [Abyss Of Darkness] and launched it towards the dragon king and now endless darkness engulfed him and thanks to my high intelligence stat, I enhanced the spell and can now steal the opponent's Mana.

The dragon king then used dragon magic which I thought was [Dragon Roar] and a wave of fire was directed towards me. I threw the [Mana Shield] that blocked the dragon king's attack and as a counterattack, I threw the [Miniature Black Hole] and a small dark ball tried to pull the dragon king inside.

The dragon king tore off a small dark ball using his sharp claws that were infused with dragon magic and it broke when making contact.. Ever since the dragon king destroyed my second strongest spell, I threw the [Black Hole] and aimed a large dark hole that violently sucked the dragon king inside and he used ordinary attacks slashing at him with his claws but his attacks became useless due to the power of the attack absorbed by black hole.

The dragon king used his power to come out and when he almost came out I threw the [Mana Stack] whose black hole power became 10x stronger than before which swallowed the dragon king whole into nothing.

"The fight ended pretty quickly. I never thought that the dragon king could force me to use ten times the strength of my strongest skill. He really deserves his title.",

I muttered to myself.

'I have leveled up quite a lot from the agricultural experts of the dragons on this mountain. After arguing with the dragon king, I got a lot of experience after our fight and I leveled up.'

I came out of the cave and breathed fresh air outside the cave.

"I forgot about the artifact inside the cave!", I said and went back inside the cave to retrieve my trophy.

I checked my inventory and the item I got was called

"The Golden Dragon's Heart".

It seems rather useless to me because I am not a dragon and the system description of the item says that it is consumable.

'It's very powerful but it's too good to be true. There may be some side effects.'

'I would use this if I was desperate because I had to meet the others. I need to help them to level up.'

I used [Gate] to go to Eldion, Sweet Pork Inn to meet the others. A sparkling white door made of light appeared and after entering it, I was teleported to my destination of Eldion.

I entered the inn where we were and to my surprise, they were not there. I asked the innkeeper and he said that my teammates were heading to the dragon mountain to train and level up.

If I knew about it, I would not have left the dragon mountain. I threw the [Gate] and I entered it which took me to the bottom of the dragon mountain.

I met some of my teammates and they fought dragons there. I went to them and they noticed my presence. I threw the [Explosive Fireball] onto the Level 500 dragon and they were all smashed to pieces.

"You became strong in just 3 days after we were called upon in this world" Mathew said to me.

“You have defeated a group of dragons and not to mention you only use low-level magic spells.”, you,

Sophie while dissecting the dragon to remove some of its scales and flesh.

"Why are you so strong and what level are you at now? We are still level 1000 but need too much mana to launch such a powerful attack.",

Zale asked me about my level.

"I am level 2,794 and I have defeated the dragon king some time ago. I also gained the heart of the golden dragon that would give me the dragon bloodline.", I avenge all my teammates.

"As expected of my fiancee! I'm lucky to meet you or I'll be engaged to a rich prince who doesn't know anything from which country!",

Aerin praised me while bragging about me. If I'm going to estimate the number of dragons they kill then I think it's about... 300?

That was definitely the reason why they said that they were running out of mana. Compared to them, I have a large pool of mana and a fast recovery rate of mana.

It was all thanks to my Intelligence stat and high Wisdom stat. They dissected the dragons they had killed to obtain some useful body parts like dragon meat and scales that could be sold for a hefty price.

"I think you need to use magic when handling things like that to make your job a lot easier.",

I suggested to them while activating the [Wind Cutters] that smoothly cut through all the parts of the dragon such as its wings, legs, head and also its scales.

"We told you we're out of nowhere! We are not monsters like you that almost have unlimited mana!", Mathew complained to me.

"If it's about where then I can transfer a tenth of me to all of you and your mother may be full after that" I said

and I threw [Mana Transfer] at them and a sparkling blue light fell on top of them that recovered all their mana.

The only side effect of the [Mana Transfer] skill was to double the use of mana from which I would transfer. For example, I would transfer 1,000 mana to someone but instead of spending 1,000 mana, I would use 2000 MP to cast a spell.

It is not recommended for people who have low MP to chant such spells but it is very useful if a magician will transfer their mana to the healers of his group.

After dissecting the entire body of the dragon, all that was left on the ground were a few piles of bones that had a little bit of flesh left and you could mistake this as a dragon grave as there were many dragon corpses.

"How much money do you think we'll have after selling this?", Aerin asked us.

“About 10 white gold considering we have a lot of dragon scales for sale and the money is enough for at least a month considering Zale's great appetite.”, I answered Aerin's question.

"I don't eat that much! I only eat a whole dragon and it's considered small for a guy like me who works really hard" Zale told me.

"Yes, yeah! If you think that you work very hard then I am the God of Work!",

I said to Zale. I went to my teammates and activated [Gate] while using wind magic to lift the meat pouch and although I could put it in my system inventory, I don't want to expose this system as early as this.

We are now in the Merchant Guild to exchange our dragon loot for money.
