Chapter 18: The Mysterious Cave In Dragon Mountain

Mathew lay in bed while I looked after him. We are currently at the Sweet Pork Inn to take a break from raising our levels and let Mathew rest as he is currently experiencing the side effects of Universal Steal.

Mathew's mental health seems to have improved after I used [Recovery].

'My [Recovery] skills are too expensive! It consumes too much mana!'

Fortunately, after I used [Recovery], Mathew fainted and he looked physically fit. It must have been due to the side effects that weighed on his mental health.

Sophie enters the room to look after Mathew as we plan to take turns looking after Mathew. I left the room, went outside the inn and went to Dragon Mountain.

'I need to practice more.. I also need to earn more system coins so that I will have more powerful skills in my arsenal.'

'Come to think of it. I don't have a gun to use yet. What weapons should I use?'

As I roamed around with what weapons to use, I had arrived at Dragon Mountain on the run. Thanks to my high speed stats, I have arrived at Dragon Mountain in just 30 seconds.

'System, is it possible to convert my available stat points into system coins?'

* Host deserves to be called a genius for thinking about such a possibility. The host can exchange the available host stat points but the exchange ratio is 10 available stat points equal to 1 system coin and vice versa.*

'That's a reasonable price. I think it's expensive but the ratio is okay I guess.'

'System, can I exchange the 10,000 stat points available for 1,000 system coins?'

*System will execute the host command. Running commands... Command executed. The host system coins will be transferred to the host system inventory. Transfer 1,000 system coins... 1,000 system coins have been transferred to the host system inventory.*

'The system has responded very quickly.'

"Inventory!",

I uttered and after that, a blue transparent screen with boxes that had items in it while some blanks appeared in front of me. This is the inventory system. I saw a gold coin with the symbol 'S' in it in the box. It has 1,000x at the top of the gold coin. I knocked on the gold coin.

*dings!*

*Will the host get the system coins? How many items does the host want to obtain?*

'I will get the system coin and the amount is 1,000.'

*Home master has obtained 1,000 system coins. The host system coins are reduced by 920 because the host has a loan of 900 and an interest of 20. The host has obtained 80 system coins.*

'I had to stop lending the system because the interest rate was so high. Forget about paying the loan, I might not even pay the interest!'

'My teammates are becoming stronger than before I met them and their improvement rate is high so they can be considered as someone with talent and potential.'

I walked deeper into the forest until I reached the bottom of the mountain. This place used to be Dragon Mountain but after we 'slaughtered' the entire place, the dragons hid and they stayed inside their cave.

I need to find another monster that can rival me or something with a power lower than mine but not too small. Dragon Mountain became a peaceful place where all the dragons lived in seclusion.

They did not even dare to come out of their cave. I have to go to the demon continent to defeat the demons and become stronger than before.

'But if I need to travel to the demon continent, then it is better to go with my teammates so that they can also become stronger.'

'I need to get a weapon suitable for my fighting style. And it must be unique so that if stolen it will be more difficult to use.'

'I need to inspect all the caves in Dragon Mountain because those dragons must have sealed the treasure or something I can use as a weapon.'

They just acted as if nothing had happened and ignored me even if I made a Dragon. I noticed that every time I humiliated them, they held back the anger and acted as if nothing had happened.

They must have realized that I was too strong and I could beat them without breaking a sweat. I can only use [Explosive Fireballs] if they take revenge but nothing serious happens.

Others might see what I did to these dragons, then they might think that I was extorting equipment from them. I went to every cave I found and finally I arrived at a cave I had not yet visited.

The cave was so dark that I could see nothing and even closed my eyes were not too dark compared to the cave I was in.

Since I am proficient and have an interest in all the basic elements, I use the low-level magic skill that is [Light Orb].

The magic I had emitted was radiant and spherical and clear yellow in color. It is similar to a light bulb but uses mana as energy, not electricity.

Even though I used the [Light Orb], it was still not enough to illuminate the room with enough light to make me see. So, I took out some [Light Orb] skills, and the room was finally filled with light.

I have expended at least 1,000 [Light Orb] skills to illuminate the entire cave.

Since the [Light Orb] is a low-level magic skill, it does not consume much mana and forgets thousands, I can even bring out a million of these skills.

The entire cave was covered with light emitting from the 1,000 skill [Light Orb] that allowed me to see the inside of the cave. I slowly walked inside the cave to examine it closely and so that I would not miss any small details.

I feel that this cave holds some mystery. I used the [Mana Shield] to protect me from the sneak attacks and as they say;

"You can never be too careful."

I also threw some [Explosive Fireballs] that were in orbit around me and it would explode upon contact if someone used a melee attack.

After inspecting the cave for almost an hour, I found a mechanism inside the cave that allowed me to teleport to another place by using the magic circle that was below me, to trigger it, he said, I need to transfer my mana to the mechanism, so that the magic circle will be active.

'I don't know where the magic circle will move me, but to be safe, I will ask my teammates to go with me to this cave so that we can enter the place where the magic circle will take us. If we run into problems, at least we can support each other.'

'I'm not sure if they can all go with me because someone needs to take care of Mathew so I think Zale and Aerin might accompany me on this adventure.'

I threw [Gate] and a bright white door appeared in front of me. I entered the door and I was teleported to the Sweet Pork Inn.

I entered the entrance of the Sweet Pork Inn and I went to Mathew's room and Mathew lay in bed, recovering from his mental injury.

Zale sat on the chair beside Mathew's bed and took care of him. Zale looked tired waiting. I threw [Restoration] and a bright yellow light shone from my hand and headed towards Zale who then eliminated Zale's fatigue and helped him regain his energy.

"Zale, I found a mysterious cave in Dragon Mountain and it has some kind of mechanism and magic circle that teleports to some unknown place" I told Zale.

"I was thinking of exploring the place and I needed you and Aerin to accompany me because Sophie would take care of Mathew and Mathew still needed to let his mental wounds heal. So only the two of you have free time to accompany. in exploring the place where the magic circle will teleport us.", I added.

Zale stood up from his chair, approached me, and said;

"Count me! But what if we can't go back and get back here, in other words, we might get stuck in there."

"I can cast gate so you don't have to worry about getting stuck there" I replied to Zale.

Zale agrees and calls Sophie to look after Mathew and explains that Aerin, him, and I are going on an adventure. Sophie agreed and she sat down on the chair and patiently waited for Mathew to get up.

"Now that's done, let's discuss it with Aerin, huh?", I asked Zale.
