Chapter 11: Engagement

"I've never retracted my words, but I never thought that you'd beat him. Make sure that you can protect me in times of danger. Don't forget to keep your image because you're my fiancee" Aerin said.

"I'll protect you even if you don't remind me. I'm a gentleman so you don't have to worry about me keeping my image" I replied to Aerin.

That's what his team-mates thought when they heard Axel became a gentleman. I bowed to my father-in-law and mother-in-law and said,

"Will you let me be your bride-to-be? I will protect her with my life even if I will fight against the whole world."

"You're fit to be my son-in-law. With you being my daughter's future husband, I don't have to worry about my daughter's safety" said the Fairy King.

"Don't be too hard on Aerin. She can be childish at some times and even become arrogant but deep down she is a good girl" said the Elf Queen.

"You don't have to worry about that", I assure them.

I went to my teammates with Aerin and we headed to the world tree where the Elf King and Queen asked us to go there and meet the ancestors of the elves. One of the reasons why the demon lord did not attack us rather than his subordinates was because of a treaty in which all the ancestors of each race would join the war if the demon lord would make a move and it stated that only the heroes who can fight the demon lord.

Although I want to face at least one of the subordinates of the Demon King, I cannot because his army will not take the initiative to attack us and wait for us to attack them instead.

After speaking with my father-in-law and mother-in-law, I revealed my ability in using space magic which one of my skills is known as [Black Hole].

They were stunned after learning about my proximity to space magic and they gave me a skill book that allowed me to open a hole that could make me travel anywhere I knew. This skill is known as [Gate].

Although it is inferior compared to [Teleportation], it is fully considered as one of the most useful space magic that will come in handy in travel and not to mention we can save on our transportation costs.

My teammates and I are now in the world tree where the royal family library is located. The Elf King and Queen allowed us to enter the royal library filled with spells and magical skills for you to learn.

Most of them are natural magic that I might need to learn to use in the future.

I had trouble finding spells related to dragon magic but after an hour of searching, I found 2 dragon magic spells namely [Dragon Roar] and [Dragon Wings].

Both spells were of legendary rank but were not used as only a few creatures other than dragons could use dragon magic.

After searching the library for another hour, I found another active spell known as [Border]. It is also legendary in rankings and somewhat useful as it can limit your opponents as well as yourself.

The only catch is that you can only limit enemies weaker than yourself. Moreover, I consider it a powerful spell if used well.

I went outside the library and activated [Dragon Wings] which then where the rainbow-colored mana went to my back and formed two pairs of wings.

After analyzing the wings, I discovered that it could create a pair of wings made of castor elements and since I had an interest in all magic elements, the color of my wings was in a rainbow-like color.

One of the best features of [Dragon Wings] is that it can also be used for combat as it can produce elemental projectiles towards enemies.

After testing the wings and flying in the air for an hour, I activated [Dragon Roar] and the waves of flames coming from my mouth targeted the direction my mouth was aiming at.

I took out and equipped the dragon armor to witness its effects and it could double the damage and efficacy of any dragon magic skill I used.

I went to my teammates and they also found some skills suitable for themselves and most of them were unique ranking skills but some of them were legendary ranking skills.

After choosing our skills, we went to the palace to say goodbye to the Elf King and Queen and our next goal was to at least reach level 500 or level 1000 and defeat at least 1 demon warrior or demon leader.

I am as strong as a high demon right now and I might even defeat a demon lord if I use the break limit but I will only use it as a trump card and only if I face an inevitable fight in the enemy is stronger than him. I'm.

I also need to accumulate some mana using [Mana Stack] so that my [Black Hole] skill has greater destructive power as does my [Miniature Black Hole] skill which consumes all my mana.

I have a lot of wisdom stats so I can recover all my mana in just a minute.

My teammates and I are now outside the palace and we head back to Dragon Mountain to train again but this time we are with the human heroes to do what is called "Team Work". Even though I was against the idea but because it was the order of my father-in-law and mother-in-law, I still listened.

I used [Gate] to teleport us in Dragon Mountain. As usual, my teammates were in the forest under the mountain while I headed to the mountain.

I found many dragons heading towards me but as soon as I activated [Dragon Wings] they seemed to ignore me because they treated me as one of them.

I did not bother killing Dragons that were below level 1000 and I tried to find some dragons that were above level 1000 so that I could level up faster and my stats would increase more if I eat the meat.

I might become stronger than the demon lord if I maintain this training session for a year but it depends if I continue to find stronger dragons until it can match the demon lord.

I found many dragons that were above level 1000 deep in the mountains and it seemed like they were in groups. This might hasten me finding them and I might as well use the [Black Hole] to kill all the dragons.

After activating the black hole, it sucked up all the dragon heads leaving only their bodies but no heads left. I ate all the dragon remains and taste the dragon meat like pork mixed with beef.

Even though I ate it raw, it still tasted good and after eating all the remaining dragons, I gained a lot of stats and maybe even defeated the demon lord.

I killed several other dragons so that I could keep their meat in my inventory for future use.

Looks like dragon meat will be our dinner today. I was like one of the best cooks in our school so I probably prepared something good using dragon meat and I hope that this world will have something similar to soy sauce.

I met up with my teammates and to my surprise, they have all reached level 500 and above including Aerin. Some human heroes had reached level 400 but none of them reached level 500.

I am now level 1783 and I have to say that I am quite impressed with my growth speed and that is all thanks to the help of the leveling system.

Without that, I might be on the same level as the other heroes.

I beckoned all the heroes to come out and return to our inn because it was already dark.

I used [Gate] to move us at the Sweet Pork Inn and we headed to the dining table to wait for our dinner to be served.

I went to the inn kitchen and I took out the Dragon's meat and started cooking it so we could have dinner. Some chefs were surprised by my cooking style but the results were still good and I cooked roasted dragon meat for us.

We all ate until we were full and went to the room to sleep so we could relax and have the energy for tomorrow's leveling session.
