"So, why did you come to my room, Your Majesty?"

[May be robbing. ]

Croft answered Curran's question without a second thought.

Rein refrains from swearing, and refutes Croft's speech.

'He's not like you Croft.'

Croft tilted his head, and retorted Rein's thoughts.

[Of course, I am a system while he is a human. Clearly different. ]

'....'

Rein ignored Croft's chatter, he took the cookies and ate them.

"Once again the investigation team found nothing about the Volker forest."

Jasvier answered questions from Curran slowly.

Rein frowned.

'Volker Forest?'

[The Volker Forest was in the Northeast region of Xinlaire kingdom, that place was the location of the monsters. ]

'Why did he send an investigation team there?'

[Hm, there's a hunting festival that's going to take place there in a week. ]

Croft floated up and faced Rein's face.

[Master, the festival is like a competition. Whoever subdues the most monsters then that territory will be his. ]

Croft explains enthusiastically.

Rein pondered Croft's last words. He had the natural attribute of a sound skill, which made him able to communicate with trees. And he also has Croft.

Rein glanced towards Curran who was speechless as if pondering something.

"Dad, can I help?"

Rein asked a question that made the three men who were in the room turn to look at him.

Jasvier responded to Rein's question with a back question.

Rein smiled wryly after answering a question from Jasvier.

Nothing is free in this world.

Jasvier understood what Rein meant. Although he did not know what kind of rock Rein meant, but as long as it could make him have a way out of this matter then he would pay any amount.

Provided he obtains information about the Volker forest, and calms his restless sister.

"What do you think Ran?"

Jasvier asked with anticipation, feeling that he saw a way out of the problem he was facing at the moment.

The reason he asked Curran, was because Rein was the son of Curran. And the location they were coming to was quite dangerous for a little boy like Rein.

Curran was silent for quite a while, he felt displeased as Jasvier interrupted his son's bedtime.

But, Curran also felt sympathy for his friend for the problems faced by Jasvier.

Croft's currency sparkled hearing the amount of money mentioned by Curran.

Rein refrained from smiling at Curran's voice. Jasvier waited for his words.

"Father will pay you 5,000 gold coins, if indeed you fail to obtain information."

Curran stroked Rein's head gently, with a faint smile on his face. But within 2 seconds Curran put on a flat face and stared intently at Jasvier.

"And you'll have to pay 10x the price when my son gets a piece of information from the forest."

Croft looked at his ten tiny fingers.

[Wow, Master. We will have many gold coins!! Haha. ]

Jasvier smiled in relief, as if all the weight on his shoulders had disappeared.

"Thank you Ran, I'll pay as you ask."

Rein just put on a flat face looking at Croft choking while laughing.

"Mark's."

Curran called.

"I'm here Young master."

Mark responded to a call from Curran.

"Call Kendrick here."

"Your young master."

Curran rose from his position after hearing Mark's response. He lifted Rein, then carried her.

Rein began to get used to it when he was treated like a child. Jasvier tries to get used to her while watching Curran make physical contact with her son.

"I greet the sun of Xinlaire kingdom."

Kendrick performed the etiquette of a knight while dealing with the royal family.

"Stand up, I came as Curran's friend."

Curran turned his gaze away from the two of them, and stared at Mark. Called her.

"Mark's."

"Yes young master."

"Go get some rest, we'll be back by morning."

"I see, this servant expects the safety of all of you."

"Hm."

Mark smiled calmly, then left the room.

"Kendrick, Volker forest."

"Understood."

Kendrick tore the teleportation paper scrolls, then the four of them disappeared from the room.

Rein opened his eyes as he felt a cold air piercing his skin.

A vast dark forest was seen before them, a towering, huge tree with lush dark green leaves, piercing cold air, as well as the gripping aura they felt upon arriving.

Croft looked at Rein's face, not immediately answering Rein's question but hovering above his head and landing there.

Jasvier chuckled small.

"I understand, Son."

Rein smiled faintly, then stepped closer to a large tree not far from him.

'Croft, tell me how to communicate with the tree?'

'Croft, I'm not a coward.'

Croft paused for a moment, before finally responding to Rein's question.

[You just need to touch the tree, and start talking. The tree will respond to your words. ]

Rein did as Croft had said, and started talking to the tree.

"O tree, can we talk. I have a question for you."

The tree leaves that Rein touched swayed for a moment as they responded to Rein's words. There was soon a deep yet calm voice in Rein's mind.

~ "It's amazing, it's the first time I've met a human who wants to talk to me. Son, did you hear my voice?"
