The four of them entered the forest by relying on the full moon lighting and also the ball of light that belonged to Alan earlier. They deliberately do not split too far between each other to be safer and reduce the risk of others getting lost. It's been more than half an hour exploring the forest they didn't find Emely's whereabouts. Amid almost desperate searching, Derek found something sparkling reflecting a slightly green-colored light buried in the ground. Derek picked up the thing which turned out to be a hairpin.
"Cloe! Tori! Alan! Come here, take a look at this, "call Derek to the others. Hearing that, they rushed over.
"What's Derek?" ask Cloey as soon as she gets there.
"You recognize this hairpin?" Derek thrust the hairpin at Cloey.
"It looks like it's Emely's got."
"That means he was never here" Derek concluded.
"And he's not alone. There were traces of shoes on the ground," Tori crouched down looking at the tracks of those shoes. "There are less than four people. Derek notice this," points Tori at the footprint of the shoe that is still intact.
The crouching crane in front of Tori noticed what was right at Tori's point. "There's a symbol of something right on the soles of their shoes."
"What symbol is that? Don't tell me they're from that crazy organization," Cloey said expecting something really uncool.
"Unfortunately it was them" Derek said but did not immediately stand up.
"Hasn't their lab been destroyed. Why is there something left between them?" Alan said remembering.
"Don't know. But they seemed to be getting beat up, "Derek took off his shirt and just threw it in Alan's face. Alan was a little upset about it. Derek slowly changes his form into a black wolf.
"What do you want to do? Do you want to just break through their base?" ask Cloey to guess Derek's mind.
"Gr....!" appreciate Derek's plan which is now in the form of a wolf.
"I'm coming, too" said Cloey, making Derek stare intently at her.
"Goarr...!" the grin turned into a rough growl. Derek doesn't approve of Cloey coming with him.
"No Derek, let Cloey come with you. Tori and I are gonna go back and tell Dad about this. We'll catch up with you guys in the car" Alan said.
"Yes, Derek. Don't act rashly. We'll definitely save Emely but by working together. It's better than being alone" Tori said in support of Alan's words.
Derek doesn't show his fangs anymore. He just turned his face away.
"Cloey grab this pin. That'll let me find you, "Alans gave Cloey a white pin.
Cloey received the pin and immediately put it on. Derek lets Cloey up to his back. It was as if Cloey was already sitting balanced Derek started running into the forest deeper following in the trail of Emely's scent from the hairpin. An hour more Derek ran finally they arrived at a building with an iron fence surrounding. There were two armed guards in front of the door.
"How do we get in there?" ask Cloey.
Derek turned left and right and looked for a way to get in there. Then he looked up like he was measuring the height of the fence, whether he could jump with Cloey.
"Gr..." Derek growled softly at Cloey asking her to hold on tight.
"What's Derek?" Cloey doesn't understand Derek at all.
Five minutes later, Cloey and Derek saw someone coming out the back door. The person walked up to the car and was unaware of their whereabouts. Derek prepared to attack the man from behind. One swing of the big claw, the person died instantly tampa had the slightest scream. Cloey rushed into the pocket behind the suit of the man trying to find his identification card. It is useful as a key to open the entrance and also open various rooms in the building. After finding it, they immediately stepped into the not-so-big building.
Inside they try as much as possible to avoid being absorbed by people. Cloey carefully inspected each room to look for Emely. Almost all the rooms that Cloey opened were empty, there was no one in it and not even a single item. Things get even stranger once they find each passageway to be as clean as possible. Where's everybody been? Have they all returned to rest? Considering it's early morning.
"Hm.....!!"
Suddenly Derek growled ferociously while radiantly showing all his fangs. His ears moved like he heard something. Cloey who saw that was immediately on standby. Were they found out? But how can it be? Cloey's eyes were fixed on the CCTV right above to highlight them. Ahh! They're too careless. So all this time they've been caught. Derek's grow more violent as he heard the sound of footsteps getting closer. Cloey was struck by a swarm of gunmen coming from various sides encircling them while brandishing their weapons.
"Don't fight! Follow us obediently," said one of them.
Cloey stroked Derek's head slowly trying to calm him down. Cloey suggested to follow what they want first, then think about how to fix them. Derek suppressed his intention to attack. He followed what Cloey wanted to plan.
"Look the way!" someone commands behind them while pushing Cloey to use his truth.
Seeing that Derek doesn't accept. He roared furiously exposing all his fangs to the person. Everyone instantly pointed their weapons at Derek. Cloey immediately hugged Derek and whispered.
"Calm yourself. I'm not okay."
"Gr..." Derek was still grinning with a sharp look killing him.
They were led to the main room of the building. The room was divided into two, which they entered at this time was a small room with a variety of buttoned equipment that did not know what its function and another large room with nothing separated the glass wall. There was a man in the room who turned around as soon as Cloey and Derek walked in.
"Ah... My beloved girl. Welcome back," said the man with a smile.
"Professor Verno?!" cloey said she was surprised to know who the man was.
"Yes, honey. It's me." It's me."
"You... You're still alive. Ba, how did you survive the explosion?" ask Cloey stammering.
"Not a part of me, baby. I had to lose my right hand because of you" Professor Verno showed me his right hand, which had now been changed by a mechanic.
"What do you want from us?!!" snapped Cloey.
