Vampire Lover
CHAPTER 25: MIDNIGHT

...Happy Reading ...

Sherlyn took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He was in front of his bathroom mirror. His original intention was to brush his teeth and go to sleep, but for nearly fifteen minutes he stared in the mirror. Especially looking at his neck which so many small circle marks with a purplish color, with what does he close this sign tomorrow? Why would Chris even make Homework for her like this?

The shadow of the incident last afternoon reverberated in his head, how could he take the initiative to kiss Chris first. Sherlyn ruffled her hair, it was so embarrassing for her. Where is his pride? Sherlyn re-entered her room, her intention to brush her teeth so she puffed out. He was not in the mood because of that incident.

The sudden droughts of the cell phone made Sherlyn jump. With a snatch of annoyance he picked up the phone that was on his study table. He can see Andrew's name now filling his phone screen.

The shadow of the mysterious masked man now haunts Sherlyn. Where from the beginning was Andrew who smashed a piece of paper in his locker to meet in the rooftop and Andrew who was so sweaty after the stabbing happened, now makes Sherlyn feel uncomfortable.

If so, Andrew did. He was so curious why would Andrew want to do such a thing? It wasn't just a joke, Chris was already hurt by it. With great doubt Sherlyn now raised the call.

“Ha..Hello?”

“Hai Sherlyn, what are you doing?”

Sherlyn was silent, she looked around her room. He was so afraid that suddenly the masked man was in his room and pulled out a knife at him.

“A..Me? what's the matter?” Sherlyn asked back.

“Are you home? Can you meet me for a minute? I'm in front of your house.”

Sherlyn flinched, she stared at the wall clock in her room. Time has shown it almost at 12 p.m. What would Andrew want to see him on nights like this?

With slow and careful steps Sherlyn walked towards the window of her room. And opening a few curtains of her blue sea-colored flowers, a few meters from her house she could see Andrew leaning against the front tree of her house. As Andrew was about to look at him, he quickly closed the curtain back.

“A..I'm outside right now, to.maybe I'll stay at Kate.”'s house Sherlyn was nervous.

“Oh, really? Are you okay, Lyn? You sound unhealthy.”

“I'm good, I close Drew. Goodbye to.”

Without waiting for another answer, Sherlyn closed her call. Sherlyn breathed a sigh of relief. And he peeked back from the window and now found no one in front of his house. He hoped Andrew was gone.

“Sherlyn!”

A male baritone voice was now entering his eardrum. Sherlyn was silent, she held her breath, while her heart there had been racing. Maybe it was his death today. And he should not have avoided death.

“Sherlyn, are you okay?”

Sherlyn quickly turned around, breathing a sigh of relief as Chris was now in the open door of her room. Usually Chris entered his house through the window of his room, but clearly now he was right in the window of his room.

“Ka..Where did you come in from?”

Sherlyn saw Chris talking as usual with his flat face. Usually want to be locked or not the window, Chris will definitely stay in and he does not know how. Even the door to his room was clearly the key. But it was easy for Chris to get in without breaking it. Or did it turn out that Chris had a duplicate key all over his house?

“You okay Lady? Your face looks pale.”

“A..I'm good.”

The sound of Sherlyn's house bell made the two of them pause for a moment. They both guessed who came at midnight like this. Meanwhile, without realizing it Chris actually always comes to Sherlyn's house almost every midnight.

“I'll open it.” Chris said and started to walk towards the front door.

“Ti..No, I'll open it."

Sherlyn quickly restrains Chris. Is Chris crazy to have guests in the middle of the night like this? What if it was one of his neighbors? Maybe he became the lips of his neighbors for bringing a man to his house at midnight like this. Sherlyn exhaled softly, for some reason because the stabbing incident earlier this afternoon made her so scared, her guts became so shrunk.

Sherlyn now stepped towards the front door and, gathering some courage, opened it. And right at the door he could see Andrew now staring at him. Sherlyn glanced at Chris who was a few meters to her right. Supposedly, if Andrew hurt her, Chris would help her, right? At least the guy can take her to the nearest hospital, right? The feeling of was - was so enveloped him.

“A..What's up Drew?” Sherlyn asked nervously.

“You okay Lyn? You look so pale.” Sherlyn swallowed her saliva, just a few meters away with Andrew able to make it hot cold.

“A..I'm good.”

“I thought you were at Kate's house, I saw a man enter your front window. I thought of a thief or some other bad guy. And now seeing you at home is worrying me even more.”

Sherlyn could see a worried look from Andrew. Was Andrew telling the truth? Because he's pretty sure what Andrew saw was Chris. Seeing Andrew's sincerity made him a little calm.

“Sorry to have lied to you, I'm just tired of seeing anyone.” Said Sherlyn and smiled awkwardly.

“Nothing, I understand.”

Andrew looked at her with a gentle smile. But that smile only lasted a few seconds after his eyes now turned to something behind Sherlyn.

“What is the man for here?”

Sherlyn looked behind her, and there was Chris who was also staring straight at Andrew. Sherlyn murmured angrily, why did Chris even show up? But Sherlyn now cleared her throat and quickly pulled Chris and pushed him out the door right next to Andrew.

“I'm tired, I have to sleep. You can go home, until tomorrow on campus.”

Without saying another word, Sherlyn shut the door and locked it. Sherlyn leaned her back against the door behind her. Today was really hard for him.
