CHAPTER 11: THE SECRET

“Hey, what if I have a lover?”

Kate and Sherlyn both flinched upon hearing Angle's question. Angle begins to get nervous as Sherlyn and Kate look at her suspiciously. He was sorry to ask such a question. Angle tried to look the other way when Sherlyn and Kate were still looking at him.

“You betrayed us?”

Asked Sherlyn in a tone of disbelief, Angle was getting nervous. She squeezed her little thighs covered in a short skirt. Angle looked down deeply, like a suspect caught stealing.

“You know why I turned down John Brookstein and Jack Warner?”

Angle raised his head to look at Sherlyn, but a second later he looked down again when he saw Sherlyn staring at him sharply. Since Angle knew, this was his fault. The three of them already had an agreement not to have lovers until they graduated and the one who made the agreement was Angle. This time he also broke. The unpleasant feelings on his two friends seemed to spread throughout the body of Angle.

“Because I was expecting Oh Sehun hahaha.”

Angle gawked at Sherlyn who was seen laughing loudly as usual with her mouth wide open. And Kate? It doesn't react too much.

Angle closed his eyes, why did Sherlyn really like to prank him like this? Did Sherlyn not know that her heart had almost stopped? Indeed, Sherlyn is the type of man who is very rarely angry, but if he is angry, it feels like the world will collapse. Not because he would scream like a madman and not throw all sorts of things. But he would be silent, and sometimes speak with very piercing words. And neither Angle nor Kate was ever strong enough to hear those piercing words.

“Come on, that's funny to you Sherlyn?”

A second later Sherlyn stopped her laughter. But occasionally still smiling amusedly, he was very funny to see the face of Angle who was very frightened and pale. He always wondered if it was so scary to be angry? Kate will react as well.

“Do you already have a lover, Angle?”

This time Kate who spoke, Angle became nervous again when she heard Kate's question. Can Kate not forget her question? This time Sherlyn looked back at him suspiciously. Angle breathed a heavy sigh.

Sherlyn seemed to nod in understanding, but not with Kate. The girl was still looking at him closely, as if looking for a lie from the girl's eyes. Angle tried not to look Kate in the eye.

“Today's our schedule to buy books!" Shouted Sherlyn with passion.

Kate turned her gaze at Sherlyn, making Angle breathe a sigh of relief. But Angle looked at Sherlyn with horror. Why did he forget their schedule of buying books? Sherlyn buys her favorite author Sidney Sheldon and Kate buys her favorite comic book. He already has an appointment with Chris to walk after school.

“I can't!”

“I can't!”

Kate and Angle looked at each other. Why can they go together like that? Is this what we call chemistry? While Sherlyn views the two as quite disappointed, she is eager to buy Sidney's book Tell Me Your Dreams and she is looking forward today to buying it with them. But Sherlyn's disappointed gaze became the warmest as usual when Angle and Kate looked at her.

“Good chemistry.” Said Sherlyn with a fluffy smile.

“You can't? Why?”

Sherlyn looked at Kate and Angle in turn, but both of them looked nervous as they looked at her. Kate who tried her hardest as possible looked the other way and Angle who looked down deep.

Actually Sherlyn knew very well, these were their traits when lying. They have been friends for about five years, but Sherlyn feels they have been friends for the rest of her life.

“I have a family event.”

“I too!”

Sherlyn looked at the two suspiciously. Kate and Angle confronted her with a smile, as if convincing herself that they were telling the truth, and their reaction made Sherlyn look at her suspiciously.

“Oh, alright.”

Angle turned his head when someone had called out his name, that radiant face now looked nervous. With a quick step Sherlyn approached the brown girl who was seen sunbathing under the hot sun, and Sherlyn clearly saw the surprise of Angle when she saw it.

“What's right here? Don't you have a family event?"

Sherlyn's question makes Angle even more nervous, this time she really hopes the man she is waiting for does not come, at least not at this time. Sherlyn stared at Angle meticulously, looking for answers as to why Angle was so nervous about her presence.

“And you? What are you doing here? Waiting for Tyron?”

Angle tried his hardest to find an idea that made Sherlyn become uninterested in his existence here. Sherlyn's suspicious face turned back into a frown and Angle was quite relieved, it seemed like he could distract Sherlyn this time. It's lucky he didn't meet Kate, because Kate would ask that up to her roots.

“Why should that blond man? Hey that's him! Andrew!”

Angle turned towards someone called by Sherlyn. Angle looked at the man with pale skin, the blue eyeballs lit up and the dense black hair carefully. Who is this guy? And since when did Sherlyn know him? Is Sherlyn going to date him and precede him? If so, Sherlyn and Kate will allow her to have a boyfriend. He will also be dating Chris. Thinking about it makes her smile.

“Angle, are you okay?”

Angle flinched from his happy daydream, he was quite surprised when the man called Sherlyn with the name Andrew was right in front of him. Angle looked at Andrew closely, he was quite similar to Chris. If Chris was here, they might look like twins. His height must be the same as Chris, his pale skin too, and his hairstyle was very cool. Maybe if the two of them go hand in hand, very suitable to be a boygroup, maybe beat the EXO boygroup that Sherlyn really likes.

“Oh come on Angle, can't you daydream another time? You fascinated to see Andrew?”

Angle looked at Sherlyn nervously, this time her cheeks blushed. Sherlyn who saw him just rotated both of his eyeballs. Since when did Angle like the figure of a man like Andrew? At one time, Angle's taste was like a boxing athlete who had a muscular body. Angle just stared blankly at Sherlyn.

“Good Angle. I think you're sick right now, I'm going baby.”

Sherlyn slapped Angle's right cheek quietly, but the slap seemed to awaken her from hypnosis. Angle clearly saw the two humans going away with the sound of a very romantic laughter in the ears of Angle. Angle looked at the two with great envy, when would he be able to laugh like that with Chris? He thought it was impossible, even Angle was very hesitant if Chris could laugh.

Buk up!

“Sorry.”

Angle has now fallen on the pavement when someone has hit her body. With fury that has been lashed Angle rose and stared intently at someone who hit him.

But that anger was replaced with a puzzled look upon seeing who hit him. He saw Chris who was in front of him this time. Chris looks very messy, as evidenced by his clothes that have been irregular, his sweat that is almost all over his body, his wet hair like pursued something and do not forget his pale skin reddened. But seeing Chris like this made him look even more handsome. He was like a boxing athlete who ran out in the eyes of Angle.

“Chris!”

Angle called Chris who just passed him without any intention of helping him, even greeting him. Does the tall man not know if he has been waiting here long because of him? Angle could see Chris stopping and looking at him.

Slowly Angles smile expanded, hoping Chris would walk towards her slowly and hold her hand to help her stand up. Silently Angle smiled small.

“Sorry, I have to go Angle.”

Angle can only gawk at Chris who is getting away. Angle clenched his arms tightly, what kind of man was he who left the girl he liked to fall down like this. The girl he likes? When did Chris like it? Chris asked her for a walk after college and that doesn't mean they're going on a date? And his words at that time?

‘Can you show me all the rooms on this campus? I really want you to show it to me’. Positive thinking Angle, maybe he's just in a hurry.

Angle's frown is formed as he sees Chris drifting away. Angle's round eyes clearly see Chris who is sneaking up following Sherlyn and the man named Andrew. Angle clenched his hand, what exactly is the relationship between Sherlyn and Chris? Thinking about it always pisses him off.

“Aren't you enough to sit in Miss Cameron's class? Why should it be on the sidewalk? No seats at home?”

“T..Tyron? Yak!”

Angle snorted at Tyron who had moved away with his big motor. Angle's gaze now turned to Chris who was still seen secretly following Sherlyn and Andrew. Angle shook her head, dismissing all of her negative feelings about Chris and Sherlyn, Angle clenched her hands, trying to hold back all of her resentment. But the ringing of his cell phone surprised him. He snorted again and took the phone in his bag.

“Hallo Kate, what's up?”
