“Can you put your hands down?!"
Everyone including Tyron flinched upon hearing the question with the tone of the command Chris issued. Actually it is not exactly said the question, it is even more appropriate to say the order that is forbidden to be refuted. Plus the mystical aura surrounding Chris and Chris' sharp gaze made Tyron swallow his saliva.
“Indeed who would dare to rule Tyron? You can also embrace your lover.”
With a bold tone Sherlyn began to interrupt, and it again made everyone flinch. Even Andrew and Tyron need a lot of courage when it comes to dealing with a guy like Chris.
Chris frowned after hearing what Sherlyn said. Embrace lover? Whose lover did Sherlyn mean? What's Angle? So, all this time Sherlyn considers if he and Angle have a relationship? Chris' surprised gaze was replaced by a thin smile, and it made Sherlyn clench her fists. What was the joke that made Chris smile?
“Did you think me and Angle had a relationship?”
This time it was Sherlyn who had to frown, while Sherlyn looked at Angle who was looking down deeply. What's actually going on? Did Angle and Chris not have any relationship like what Angle told him? Angle said Chris was his girlfriend.
A few seconds after Sherlyn looked at Chris confusedly, Chris' laughter started to bluster and it made everyone flinch. Even Angle and Sherlyn rounded her eyes. This was the first time they had seen Chris like that.
After a few minutes Chris was satisfied to laugh, slowly his laughter began to stop, but his lips did not stop to display a smile. Chris felt very happy, after seeing the annoyed face of Sherlyn who was annoyed and always pouting, he assumed that Sherlyn was jealous of him, and it made him very happy.
“Are you jealous of My Lady?”
The five people including Sherlyn gasped when they heard what Chris asked. Sherlyn could clearly see Tyron's tightly clenched hand. But that was not his concern, which became the center of his attention was Angle who jolted but a second later looked down deeply. Sherlyn looked at Angle with guilt, not wanting to hurt Angel's feelings, but she was also quite upset when she learned of Angle and Chris's closeness.
“You're talking what Chris is? You're just like Andrew and Tyron, you like to joke. Haha.”
“Angle, where did you know Chris? You two look really good.”
This time Tyron's voice tried to divert the atmosphere, they all knew very well that Tyron had only saved Sherlyn. Angle looked up and looked at Tyron, Angle displaying a thin smile even though her eyes were radiating sadness. Sherlyn, who sees Angle as increasingly guilty, hates her friends who cover her feelings, and now Angle does so because of her.
“You didn't know Chris was studying at Imperial University?"
“You went to college there? How can?”
This time Sherlyn's voice came back and looked at Chris full of question marks, while Chris looked as usual, very flat as if there was no problem whatsoever. Sherlyn looked around and closed her mouth. Why he was unable to control his mouth, the atmosphere returned awkwardly.
“How can? Do you think Chris is an alien and can't go to college?!”
The rising sound coming from Angle made Sherlyn flinch. Sherlyn simply took a breath and exhaled slowly, but she was quite happy that Angle was starting to be able to express her regret. Kate can only look at her two best friends with a lookout, she knows how Angle feels and she knows that Sherlyn is someone who can not control her speech.
“Not that I mean, I just..”.
“Food has arrived!”
Tyron said excitedly as some waiters put down dishes and glasses that had contained delicious dishes. Sherlyn breathed a sigh of relief, she was again saved. The atmosphere of Triple Date was ended by the sound of clanking forks and knives clashing against each other without the slightest conversation.
