5. Enemy Moves

Kai and Rex talk about Isla's ability to be very sensitive to the existence of others. Even Rex, who was using invisible magic at the time, could be detected by Isla's ability.

Rex also tells about a rumor about why Isla was shunned by her friends. Apparently there used to be an incident that made Isla got the nickname of the unlucky carrier girl because it seemed to predict bad events in the future.

Isla's ability is quite similar to Samira, Kai's older sister. But Kai still wants to prove it and see it for himself.

"Please sit!" kai orders Isla who has come to fulfill her call.

Isla according. For the first time Kai saw Isla tying her hair, her appearance was quite different with such a hairdo. He looks more confident.

What is still a question of Kai until now is the gaze of Isla's eyes, which always seemed probing and radiated a vigilance at him. It was as if Kai was going to do something evil to the girl. It was true what Rex said, Isla had a powerful aura and was different from other Earth humans.

"Are you really bullied?"

"No."

Isla's speechless. He looked at Kai without blinking.

Kai doesn't think Isla is a stubborn girl.

"Do you have a threat?"

"No. Why do you ask that?"

"From the way you talk as if you're covering up bullying yourself because there's someone you're watching."

Isla suddenly stood up, her face looking angry. Seeing that Kai was a little surprised, let alone suddenly the aura that appeared on the girl's body turned even stronger than before.

"Who are you really? What's your goal?!"

Kai is obviously surprised by Isla's change in reaction and tone, even using informal words.

"What do you mean, why do you talk like that? Didn't I tell you I just wanted to help."

"Since you came to this school, I've been wary of you. Why are you chasing me? What's your purpose?"

Kai was completely at a loss for words. He did not know why Isla was angry and accused her of doing something bad. Kai looked around for fear that another teacher would see this, and even boomerang for him. He did not have time to answer, Isla had interrupted with a sentence that made Kai stunned on the spot.

"One week ago, you came to my house, didn't you? I can feel your coming. And your aura and smell are exactly the same, you're the one who came to spy on me one week ago."

Since the incident in BK room, Isla always avoids meeting with Kai anywhere. He had already locked onto Kai like a dangerous target to be avoided and shunned. Kai understands the reason why Isla is considered strange by her friends. He was sensitive and could sense the aura of others, and that made him overly alert.

There was a slow knock from outside the window in Kai's room. It was already midnight, but the young man was still awake. While Rex has been snoring since earlier in his tiny bed.

Kai got up and flicked the window curtain, wondering who knocked on the glass on the fifth floor these nights. A white, hairy owl was staring at Kai from outside the window.

Kai rushed to open the window, then the bird flew in and turned into a woman wearing a dark blue robe with a gold motif on the edge.

The woman removed the hood that covered her head and face, revealing a beautiful face with long reddish-brown hair. His emerald green eyes emitted a brilliant aura that instantly smiled when he saw Kai standing right before him.

"Kai!"

The woman without a cue immediately hugged Kai who also welcomed his arrival. The girl is named Hilma, Kai's fifth sister who had successfully completed her task of searching for the Emrys Heirloom about a year ago.

"Miss Hilma?"

Rex woke up and immediately saluted the woman. Hilma herself immediately approached and hugged Rex with a longing aura because they had not met for a long time.

"I'm glad you're okay."

"How did you get here?" ask Kai.

"This is not my real form of Kai, I just sent my shadow through Binx (the owl, Hilma's Guide). I don't have much time so I'll explain quickly."

"What's wrong?"

"Ios, he was found dead three days ago."

"What?!"

Kai and Rex both responded. Ios is Kai's ninth brother. One of his brothers who also has not found a fragment of Emrys to date. Ios was assigned to the southern hemisphere, where the coordinates of the Emrys fragments were scattered across the continent with very dense forests.

"What do you mean he's dead? How come?" kai exclaimed as he shook Hilma's shoulder.

"Something we didn't expect happened, Kai. About a week ago, Ios told Samira that he was close to finding the Emrys fragment because a strong signal called him. But he had trouble getting seriously injured due to the body ache he suffered as he continued to survive in the forest for many years. Samira and Luke follow, but by the time Ios gets there, Ios is dead,"

"When examining his body, Samira was convinced that Ios had died not of an illness, but that someone had attacked him. And strong guesses, they are the Akuji Army (men of Hugo Lorelei). Ios' body was found in a blackened state as it was cursed. And the Emrys shards disappeared at that moment. Declan and Dallas are currently searching for Eris's whereabouts, as it's likely that Hugo's men are already moving in to snatch the remaining Emrys shards."

"I came here to warn you Kai, I still can't find Margus. But I got a message from him. The only way is for you to take the girl to Amalthea because it will be impossible to remove the Emrys shards from her body without sacrificing her life. It's a violation, but there's no other choice. I think the Queen will understand when she finds out that the Emrys shards are embedded in her body. You have to hurry Kai, or Hugo's men will come and kill him. I can't last much longer, don't waste your time."

After that last sentence, Hilma's figure slowly began to blur and again turned into a figure of a hairy white owl.

"I have to go now, see you, Mr. Kai, and you're also Rex."

"Thank you Binx. Give my regards to Hilma."

Kai and Rex drive Binx to the window. The owl rushed flying high in the darkness until it disappeared behind the clouds.

Kai and Rex knew what they had to do next. Hugo's men had already started moving to gather the remaining Emrys shards. And if they had already managed to kill Ios, then right now Eris was the next target to aim for.

"Eris won't be that easy to beat. Even Ios will not lose if his body is in good health. Come on Rex, we need to get ready right now!"
