The Last Heirloom's

The Last Heirloom's
12. Insurgent Rebels Infiltrate

The two figures that fell on the streets immediately came closer. They use a veil and a veil to cover their face.

One was a woman, with a white owl flying low on her shoulder. She was wearing a long green dress hidden under a black robe. Grasping a green-gloved sword in his right hand.

Then the other was a tall man, his body protected by a robe. His right hand held a stick that he used to guide his steps. A blue-eyed Jaguar walked right by his side.

The thick fog had already begun to be eliminated due to the impact of the water that emerged from the split road. A dense leafy tree stood firmly in the middle of the Intersection. The man in the armpit was invisible. Kai who was about to unsheathe the sword, suddenly pulled it back. He looked at the two robed figures who had come closer.

"You're a little late" he said.

"Sorry Kai, the border is in a state of chaos" said the woman, taking off her veil and veil, revealing a beautiful face with a friendly smile. It has long reddish brown hair that is slightly choppy. Eyes as clear green as Emeralds. From wherever it looks he looks like Kai in the female version. Hilma Gamma Majoris, Kai's sixth brother. The owl is Bink, his guide who had met Kai on Earth.

"But the situation here turned out to be no better either" murmured the cloaked man. From the outside he looked like an old man, but his delicate voice sounded still young. He opened the veil that covered his head and face. Showing the perfect sculpture of the face of a dark-haired young man.

He looked straight ahead while throwing his alluring smile. The charm of an Argo Gamma Majoris has been ranked first as the most handsome witch in Amalthea. Even though he has physical flaws.

Argo was blind from birth. But that deficiency did not cover his greatness in fighting. He can see the world clearly, has a sharp hearing. In fact he also has the sharpest sensitivity after Samira. Silver, his Guide is Argo's second eye.

The three people were now standing in front of the huge tree that appeared in the middle of the Intersection. Stare at a large cocoon that hangs on the branch of the tree.

"Well, three people turned out to be quite troublesome as well" said Kai. He looked at Argo. "So you also know about my problem?"

Argo did not turn his head, but he knew the question was directed at him. "I've lost Ios. I don't want to see my brother die again. So don't act alone, Kai. Your problem is not a trivial one."

"Argo and I were indeed assigned to pick you up. But I have to tell someone about the girl. Declan and Dallas are searching for Eris. We were afraid something might happen because Eris could not be contacted. Lucky I was quick to see you so you could arrive sooner. But it looks like they found you too." Hilma stared at the large cocoon where the minced man who fought with Kai was inside.

"I have to thank you. They appeared just as we teleported towards Kaala Lake. Otherwise, there might be bloodshed that shouldn't be."

"Where is the girl?" ask Argo.

"The department store," replied Kai straightforwardly. He then walks ahead to the store where Kai asks Isla to wait for him.

At that time Rex came to join after fighting with the enemy's Guide. The defeat of the three witches had made the Guides retreat injured. Rex looked down respectfully when he saw Hilma and Argo. He then greets Silver and Bink in a more relaxed style. They then chatted, discussing topics that were hard to explain.

Kai unlocks the barrier spell he used to protect Isla. He then introduced the girl to his two brothers. Isla felt a little intimidated at the two figures. They looked charismatic and had an extremely powerful aura.

But Isla likes the aura of both sweet and positive. Especially Argo. Isla continued to shake that handsome face in her heart. His physical shortcomings are barely visible at all. Because the eyes that can't see it actually look beautiful as if it has a magnet to keep staring at it.

Currently they entered the building with a tall dome that they would enter before meeting the enemy. This place looks like a theater. Many spectator benches are arranged like stairs. Below there is a fairly large arena covered by thick red curtains.

Someone was seen standing in front of the curtain. Isla was shocked at once shuddered. The man's body was like a human, but had a goat's head with long arched horns. His hand held a sickle spear like an angel of death.

"Theater is currently closed. Please come next time, " said the figure.

"We just want to take a look" Hilma said.

"What do you want to see?"

"Pontem's Infernium."

Hilma's reply made the figure notice them one by one, until her gaze ended on Isla who was standing with a scared face.

He looked back at Hilma. "Do you have the key and the clearance card?"

Hilma handed over something round in a flattened shape like Coins but in black. He also handed him a thin piece of brown paper like yellowed old paper.

The goat-headed figure nodded then looked back at Hilma.

"You know it's not free. It's five times what it used to be."

"I know." Soon Hilma again handed over a sack quite large and looked heavy. The figure accepted and immediately hid in his robe.

The figure then opened the Curtain which turned out to be behind stood a large and sturdy high stone wall. Isla previously suspected that behind it would appear a big screen like a cinema. But it turns out he was wrong.

The wall has three symbols. Each circle, triangle and also square box. The figure then put the black flat object that Hilma handed over to the circle symbol.

Small tremors accompanied by rumbling sounds suddenly occurred around them. Kai and the others looked calm, except for Isla. The girl was surprised not to play. He saw that the stone wall was split open and formed quite a bit of a gap passed by the human body. A dark passageway that breathed out heat opened in front of their faces.

Hilma led in first. Followed by Argo and his Guides. Kai pulled Isla who was gulping with saliva out of fear. He felt a very bad air in that place. It was as if such deep sorrow and misery were gathered in one place.

This place is the Pontem Infernium. It is better known as the Bridge of Hell. A secret passage that has been privately owned by Margus. He received it as a gift from Edward Lorelei, the Queen's dead sister.

The secret path to Amalthea is three and is owned only by Queen Aria and her two younger siblings. Through these three roads make anyone who passes through it will not be detected by the barrier tower. Especially for Isla, the intruder from the outside world who should not have set foot in Amalthea.

The Pontem Infernium is directly connected to the cottage where Margus lived. Kai and Isla's whereabouts will still be a secret until they find a solution to remove the heirloom shards from Isla's body.

Finding Margus' whereabouts will be very difficult. So Hilma proposed to discuss this at a family meeting later. Kai understood Hilma's intentions, not all of his sisters would be so kind as to think about Isla's life.

For them Isla is just a container. So killing him is not a sin. Bringing Isla to Amalthea was a huge risk that Kai had to bear. He may be sentenced severely. But the goal is not evil at all. He wanted to get the heirloom to restore Amalthea without sacrificing innocent lives. Moreover, that life should have nothing to do with this country at all.

Kai clasped Isla's hand tightly. Convince the girl not to be afraid to cross the bridge, where the hot lava is slapped horribly under it. The pitiful aura was very pronounced, plus strange noises that sounded like screams made the place depict a real hell.

Western Amalthea Border.

The rebels who tried to penetrate the defences of the Western Amalthea forces continued to attack relentlessly. These two camps fought magic that had sacrificed a quarter of the border forest.

The Eastern Lumis Amalthea affected by infectious diseases are victims. Not only did they die from the disease, but also the atrocities of the rebels that brought them down. The rebels killed the defenseless Lumis, hoping the troops guarding the Western Amalthea border would pave the way for them.

But Edric and his brothers were undaunted. Together with the helpful Elves, they must be prepared to witness the death of the Eastern Lumis of Amalthea rather than having to sacrifice more lives if they allow them to enter Western Amalthea.

But at that time no one knew that there were some rebels who managed to infiltrate. They were carrying some Eastern Amalthea Lumis who were suffering from infectious diseases.

The rebels cunningly abandoned the already dying Lumis at some point. If the Western Lumis Amalthea contracted the disease, then the troops guarding the border would be reduced.

The disease would also spread easily, killing them all like a plague. While the medical magicians began to decrease because of the disease. And a portion of them were heading towards the Lower Forest in search of medicinal herbs as supplies had been depleted.
